We received a warm welcome on reception from the woman who showed us exactly where the car park was on the opposite side of the street. If you are driving here for a stay then it is well worth paying for their covered car park as the bays outside the hotel fill by 08:00 and rarely did we see any spaces come up in our week here.
We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and again had wonderful service from Alex. The menu del dia was really good and reasonably priced.
The terrace is literally next to the beach and is idyllic. There is an area set aside for hotel guests and you show your room key to prove residence. The menu here was varied and good and we ate there most nights again, reasonably priced and the kitchen is open all day until 11:00pm so you don’t have to wait for normal Spanish meal time! A huge bonus for us😃
There are deck chairs in the room which you can take to the beach which is a really clever, thoughtful touch. Another nice touch is water available in the corridor by reception and usually left over pastries from breakfast.
Can’t find much fault here but do have observations. The dining room seems way too small to cope with the number of guests wanting breakfast and not enough staff. They seemed to struggle to clear tables quickly and there were long periods where hot food wasn’t available so we couldn’t always get our first choice of breakfast selection. Being on holiday it wasn’t the end of the world but frustrating at times.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, loved it. I would recommend it.
The restaurant can be skipped:better look for an outside alternative or use the beach terrace with simpler but decant food. The more expensive inside dining is a disappointment: although the internet site gives you high hopes, once inside the food is disappointing: the amuse should have been a warm ‘croquete’, being a house special. Reality: a cold oiled snack. This temperature seems to be an ongoing thing; maybe the kitchen works faster than the service, but all was served at too low temperatures and the fishes from our main dish undercooked. A shme that even friendly staff serving it, can’t make up for. The promise of ‘great cuisine’ is never lived up to.
The cook simply does a sloppy and hasty job; even the baked eggs, at a too simple breakfast, were cold and un-eatable.
Positive on the other hand: pets allowed (maybe the reason why we got a lousy room?), relaxed staff and beach access. Parking of your car upfront however is a challenge.
All in all: disappointing and a sweaty night.
Cafe below has very generous Spanish appeal but with exceptional efficient service
Was looking forward to staying here but it far exceeded my expectations.
The breakfast is delicious , egg and bacon, toast, fresh fruits , rolls, cheeses ,hams croissants , jams, fresh orange juice, coffee and tea
The staff are all very polite and helpful.
The receptionist looked up local places of interest to check to see the opening times and answered our many questions
Would highly recommend .
Food is average, service is appalling and it it i the only place in Spain where you will queue for an hour on an August evening for an average bocadillo.
If you want good food and an equally good location, try Villa Sofia or Habanero......
