Detailed Reviews
The situation of this site is good, near beach, a few bars/restaurants open on the way in to town - 30min walk.
The site however needs a lot of work. The pitches are uneven, high kerbs that would catch a motor mover and sharp corners with low tree branches. The ground is the local red earth. Nightmare to keep anything clean and the slightest wind blows up red dust. Showers and loos OK but not great. Several long stay campers seem to think they need to feed the stray cats 2xdaily. Hence I am told there are loads of rats however I have seen none. The bar is the most unwelcoming I have ever been to. They don't turn lights or heating or coffee machine on unless someone goes in. Why would you. Vicious circle. We walked 20mns to Bonterra park to get Happy Hour prices and some atmosphere. I gave this feedback to the site before I left.

We arrived on a very water logged site as it had torrential rain the day before. There were very few vans on site, probably due to the weather !! Receptionist very friendly and signposted us to the pitch. Unfortunately there was another torrential downpour as we drove up the site to look for our pitch number. They were not clearly marked and it took us 20 minutes to find the pitch! The toilets, shower etc were very tired looking and not very clean. I opted out of using their showers and we decided to stay only 1 night. Bar. swimming pool on site, didn't stay long enough to comment on either.
29.50 Euros per pitch including electricity. Definately over priced. I would not stay here again even for 1 night. Benicasim is a really lovely place with a beautiful promenade lined with amazing spanish villas, old and new. Really nice town to walk to from the campsite. Shame about the site as it is well situated.

Camping with very old facilities, but they were clean, the plots were small and with little shade.
There is a very large area that is full of fixed caravans with awnings that takes away the charm of the environment. There were also many families with children screaming at all hours, making it impossible to rest and connect with nature, which is what many campers are looking for, at least us.
The best thing is the location since it is a few minutes walk from the best sandy beaches on the Mediterranean coast.

I completely DISAGREE with the awful review that gives this campsite 1/10. The staff are friendly, helpful and the bar is lovely -and was open until 9pm for us in September. We stayed for a 1 night stopover without booking- the pitches are fine, all beneath pleached lime trees. The toilets and shower blocks are clean and roomy with electrical sockets and toilet roll (many don’t!) They are not the most modern but perfectly adequate. The campsite was still popular even towards the end of September. We would definitely come back here for a longer stay - the beach Boulevard is 3 mins away and is beautiful.

Very small pitches.
High curb edging making driving on/off the plot difficult and potentially damaging.
No hot water for pot/clothes washing nor in some of the hand washing sinks.
Very out dated site to the point of being scruffy.
Communal toilet roll !!!
Certainly not worth the 22€ out of season charge.

Motorhome pitches are stone/gravel mix. Couldn’t reverse onto ours due to high kerb. Toilets basic, showers good but nowhere to put clothes. Why not add a couple of hooks? Great pool, friendly staff, near lovely beach. Free WiFi in reception area. Cheap and cheerful.

We loved it so much we are going back this Autumn. It is a short walk to a fabulous beach with great restaurants ON the beach. People were friendly and helpful. It is not fancy, but with its location and friendly and helpful staff, we can hardly wait to return.

This site is awful. The 1 scored is for location only as the beach down the road is lovely and sandy.
The reception was welcoming and lulled us in without checking facilities as we would normally do.
If we had done we would not have stayed. They truly are appalling. Needs some updating and a lot of it.
The pitches are long and narrow and just dry mud and weed.
We had the mis fortune of staying on a Saturday night when the Spanish families descend to their all year pitches.
There were kids screaming and screeching and they are generally just very loud.
We noted on arrival that the bar served a favourite beer of us so we got ready and wondered down for 1 or 2 but alas, despite saying it was open until 10pm. At 8pm it was shut.
This site cost 20 euro with Acai! Was not worth 12.
The following morning we left and tried another site some 20 miles away which was also 20 euro a night. The comparison was like a fiesta and a mercedes.
So, overall I feel a 1 out of 10 is fairly generous.

Shady retreat under mulberry trees. smallish pitches on dirt. Short walk to the beach. Locked electricity boxes which was the first time we had seen that. amenities need updating. Did have continuous hot showers though (rather then the push button ones) Bikes for hire at a reasonable price to cycle the Via Verde which you can get on very close to the camp ground. Fresh bread available in the am if you order the night before. Did not try the pool or bar but looked ok. We stayed for 3 nights.

Seats proposed near high voltage line (very loud noise ) cramped and sidewalk high and (that one more with the Acsi card) or other place strong Award but the noise was still there. Very disappointed... because the entrance is very nice and the restaurant too...
