Very well situated camp site with garage and small shop and within easy distance of Soussusvlei. Even though some of the sites are next to the main road there are so little traffic after sunset that it doesn't cause any noise issues. Excellent shower with plenty hot water and own private bathroom well laid out and spacious. Well worth the money
One of the most comfortable desert campsites we have ever stayed at. Firstly, each campsite parking has a huge space so you have that feeling of privacy. Secondly, it has your private flush toilet just near the car and a shower, too. Comfy cooking area with a wash basin. There’s a petrol station nearby, and the gate entrance to the national park is like 15 mins drive away. Super comfy for seeing sunrise in the dunes! Cape fox came to visit us in the morning which was super cute :) we also spotted ostriches and oryxes around. The only disadvantage (or maybe an advantage?) is that mobile connection does not work there but there is no free wifi even at the reception. you can only buy it for half an hour.
Arrived extremely late due to broken tyre, and a few wrong turns, but were greeted by a friendly guard who had stayed up late to let us in and show us to our campsite. Even better, the next morning the staff could help us get a new tyre fitted on the spot. The campsite is excellently positioned a few minutes from the entrance to Sossus Vlei. Well shaded camping area with private kitchen and bath room and hot water. A few scratches on the tent in the middle of the night by jackets just added value. Only downside is that our campsite was positioned just next to the main road and petrol station that was lit up throughout the night.
We spent two great nights here. We like our own privacy so loved the shade covering, en-suite bathrooms , wash up/kitchen facilities and braai with no need to go to a communal area. We also enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool situated in the middle of all the campsites. We also liked the outlay of the campsite as all the campsites face to the outer side of the circle of campsites. Most of them with a great view of the desert. At first we were worried about the nearby road but it was not a problem. We focused on the view and our braai. The campsite is situated perfectly across the entrance leading to sossusvlei. There was just one hiccup but not the fault of the management of this campsite... pity the locals party it up until the early hours of the morning. The music was so loud we battled to sleep. The locals should bear in mind to keep noise down after 10pm. They need the income that tourists bring to the town of Sesriem.…
The camp site is perfectly located, very clean and ablution facilities very good. The staff are also very friendly. It would have been great though if they could have had facilities on the camp site for a boma fire. Great place to relax with family and friends.
This is a great location if you want to go to Sossusvlei. The campsite is of average. More trees for shading could be nice. Number 10 hot water is not working. Taps are leaking. Small things to attend to and it could be 5 star.
The campsite is surrounded by mountains which makes for a beautiful view. Each campsite has their own bathroom and kitchen making camping really great. The staff is really helpful too. We realized only after the shop has closed that we need fire lighters and they came to our campsite to make sure we are okay even though it was after hours.
We had a strange couple of days at Sossus Oasis as we landed in a sand storm, they had the most rain in a decade and we got stuck in the reserve because of the river coming down. The camp site was wonderful - the private ablutions are rustic and fits perfectly with the setting. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the workshop sorted out our flat tyre in no time. Highly recommended!

Arrived just after 6 to find the gate closed and the reception / shop locked up. Nowhere to buy firewood to cook. No phones answered. Eventually moved into an empty site as we had prepaid - attendant finally turned up an hour later to tell us we were in the wrong site. Management and reception simply ignored us the following day.
