Sossusvlei Lodge is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nowhere, proofing that being remotely located does not have an impact on wonderful food, great accommodation and friendly service. Arriving at the lodge after having challenges on the road and being extremely tired it was wonderful to relax. Checking in was easy, having assistance to carry our luggage to our...

Dear Simone, Thanks for the fantastic rating and review! Glad you enjoyed the clean accommodation units, the bar and the great food service at our restaurant. Wifi is bit of a daunting task to provide in the middle of the Desert. Looking forward to welcome you back! Best wishes, The Sossusvlei Lodge Team

Excellent accommodation close to park entrance with very friendly staff. We ordered a breakfast basket for our trip to the dunes and was really surprised with the treat that was packed. The dinner setting and and food surpassed all our expectations and the wine list is really good. Defintely worth a visit.

I stayed there during the 100km del Namib Race and the hospitality was exceptional! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices for drinks were very reasonable. The food was also very delicious and the bush dinner on our last evening was an unfortgetable experience.

In the middle of nowhere just close enough to the dunes you will find the Sossusvlei Lodge. People were helpfull, the room had great A/C and the buffet had tons of tasty food. We enjoyed a helicopter ride and the animals that lurk around the housing.

After visiting the dunes, we went for a drink and lunch to this lodge. It is in good shape and you can feel the friendly and very welcoming atmosphere from the staff. This hotel lacks class but charges over-the-top prices! On arrival, the receptionist was anything but welcoming. The place Is probably acceptable as a 3 star hotel, no more than that, but charges 4 star prices at least. The rooms are tired and lack simple facilities like a fridge (one would reasonably expect one in a desert area!) The bathrooms are...

Sossusvlei Lodge is unfortunately resting on its laurels and maybe with a bit of competition, might improve the quality of their meals, spruce up their rooms and worn mattresses and just take a bit more attention to detail. The views from the tented rooms ONLY if you have the front rooms are amazing. This is not the case if you...
