Firstly, they accommodated my last minute planning, I originally wanted one night then stayed for another to do the Sossusvlei tour. They put me in the house or the back.

Dinners were lovely, and well organized. And it was the first time I tasted wildebeest and antelope.

Wi-Fi was spotty and non existent at the house but I'm sure one will fare better with a proper booking. You can also just use the Wi-Fi at reception.

I did laundry with them at a nominal cost and they were quite receptive to all my requests. If anything the place was rather well run indeed. I took a dip in the pool IV my first evening and the towels were furnished, removed and replenished rather quickly.

My tour guide for Sossusvlei, Ziggy, was first rate and I was pleased and impressed with all he offered from the stories, lore, geography and especially his ace driving and snake spotting skills! He clearly knows what he's doing. I learned also that the property has some bushmen art on a 4k walk away but I did not get to verify this with reception.

Thank you for all the amazing staff at your lodge who made sure that the group were well looked after. The food, friendly staff and beautiful location made this lodge stand out. The entire group enjoyed the thoughtfulness of the staff (They played Portugues music, and we loved the good night surprise in the rooms). Overall, we would return again :-)

Close enough to get to Sesriem early. The lodge has lovely rooms with great views, a good swimming pool and a lovely spot to eat dinner on the lawn each night. My only complaint is that there really isn't enough shade in the public areas and what most people want to do in the afternoons, is sit in the shade round the pool or on the patio. I'm sure they'd make a lot more money from the bar etc. if people could sit here comfortably. It is the desert after all.

A highly overpriced, disappointing place.
Will never return and will NOT recommend it to anyone! The internet site is falsely advertised and there are hidden costs. Eg Dinner costs 330 Nam dollars per person. Really not that amazing for what you get. A beer will set you back about 32Nam dollar. The managers there are not very interested in doing what they suppose to, lying around the pool and sending the waiters around while there are clients in camp. The rooms are ok, if you feel like staying in a hostel!!
Across the road is the tented camp, this you will not see online! The tented camp is nice with great sunset views, although it’s 7km from the main camp! There is a bar and pool at the tented camp.
End of the day is not worth the 5500 Nam Dollars we paid, there are many other places close by for a lot cheaper!!

It is a busy place with lots of tour groups coming in and out every day. It felt like they were a bit overwhelmed at busy times like the morning and the afternoon.
The rooms were a bit weird since they gave us (4 people) two family rooms with 4 beds each which made the rooms feel empty and cold.
The cleanliness was superb and the build of the rooms is so good that we didn’t need to use the air condition. Also the big terrace of the rooms with the beautiful view into the mountains was amazing.
But sadly the service is just not that great.
One morning they forgot to prepare our preorders breakfast pack, an other evening they seemed to have forgotten to prepare a vegetarian option for dinner and just served some more vegetables instead of meat.
Some of the staff just seems to not want to be there and also showed it, but some others are just so very nice and friendly. It really depends on who you interact with.
All in all I wouldn’t stay there again since the drive to the park is also 30min and I would recommend looking for a lodge closer by and/or more private with less rooms - this rules out the big travel groups as well.

Not much of a reception. No yoghurt or fruit served with breakfast. We had to bring our own yoghurt. We found it to be very expensive for the service and accommodation type recieved. Parking is far from the rooms. Sadly we will not be staying here again.

The hotel was lovely and the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Sadly the pool was not heated and the pool bar was closed (possibly due to the time of year). The lodge was able to accommodate the fact I was vegan for dinner but the breakfast options were much more limiting- even just having almond or oat milk for breakfast would have been a huge step up.
The setting is beautiful but you are restricted to eating/drinking in the hotel due to its remote location

We spent a night at the Elegant Desert Lodge and we highly recommend it to any visitor or traveler. The service was exceptional, specifically from Portius - he was extremely efficient, fast, helpful, friendly, accommodating with all our requests etc. Rooms were very clean, had everything we needed (plus a brilliant view) and the food was extremely tasty and delightful. Real value for money and we will be back, definitely!

We stayed just 1 night at Elegant Desert Lodge as it was part of our self drive around Namibia. The room was lovely and spacious, very clean. All are 'huts' set out in a semi circle. Staff were friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed a 4 course set menu - food is delicious and well cooked. Also there were porters on hand immediately we arrived as the accommodation is a little way from the car park area. Highly recommended

Had a great stay here - spent one night at the Lodge and then two nights across the road at the Desert Eco Camp and I can't recommend it enough! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, dinner every night was VERY tasty, and the Sossusvlei Tour with Ziggy was so much fun! I will definitely be back the next time I'm visiting Sossusvlei!! One thing about the dinner which I especially enjoyed was that it was a 4 course meal every night, prepared fresh and served at your table (no buffet!). It was very tasty, and the portions were very filling - I honestly don't think I managed to finish everything, I always left full and smiling :)

Wahrscheinlich kommt die Antwort zu spät für dich - aber vielleicht für andere noch passend: Ja. Wir hatten generell in jeder Unterkunft in Namibia Shampoo und Duschgel.
