What a lovely hotel. Nicely situated in the heart of Melkbosstrand. Friendly staff and great service. Great location to beach and the town area area. I would totally recommend this hotel. Well done to the staff.

Stayed self catering accommodation.
It was beautiful, safe. Loved the friendly people, dogs and it was voted SA's safest town...will definitely go back..
It's close to Cape Town. Have good public transport but it is a quiet part, beautiful sunset and walking beach.
Great food and wine. Close to winelands as well. Just what I needed..rest for my city soul.

If you are a tourist coming to Cape Town please consider staying in this fabulous hotel just 25 minutes from the city's waterfront. The decor is "beach chic" with cool wooden sculptures followed through from lobby to room. I had been booked into a local B and B who had a problem with my room and transferred me to this hotel and what a treat! I stayed in a beach facing queen room. It was a great size with couch area and balcony. A bar fridge and tea and coffee making we're great. Both a bath and a shower were a treat. Abigail at the front desk was excellent. She allowed me to check in early and after a very bumpy international flight it was certainly appreciated. We got back in from the city in the evening which was a comfortable drive in minimal traffic and the gentleman on reception facilitated us to have tea and milk at that late hour. With a lovely restaurant, pool deck and underground parking in a really safe area- it is a great choice in Cape Town! And tourists worrying bout safety- this is the perfect hotel for you- and locals from SA it is close to loads o great beaches, restaurants and coffee shops- book now!

We stayed two nights over NeW Year. On arrival 1hr after checkin time, we were told to wait because the room was not ready. The staff could not say how long the wait would be. On returning later that evening we were told my daughter would have to sleep on the couch, despite having requested an extra bed in the booking. When we went for drinks at the bar on New Years eve, the bar had no ice. At breakfast there was only leftovers, as the dishes were not refilled. The charge for breakfast was R500, which I thought was steep for what it was. The excuse was that the Hotel was full.
On the plus side, the Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly, although indifferent to complaints.
I think the Management was non existent during our stay as these issues should be resolved by competent staff.

What a great place, - first time I have ventured this far along the coast from Cape Town and I wasn't expecting such a lovely little town let alone such a gem of a hotel. Well worth a visit, I will be returning to see our new found friends!

Very nice hotel with lovely spacious rooms and we enjoyed our stay. Actually 2 complains. Service in restaurant is good but slow. No tomato sauce etc available on sideboard. Piece of broken glass in apple juice. Spacing of toilets(Room 201) are badly planned.

A lovely hotel, with immaculate interior decoration, neat big rooms. Helpful reception guy(cant remember his name), helped from check-in & with room service, WiFi setup (it seemed he was alone on duty). Restaurant service somehow failed to impress, it was empty, the food i ordered was out of stock. the waiter seemed not sure of everything....breakfast was a nightmare--everything on the buffet was dry. Very quiet & ideal environment esp for business stay.

Do not visit this establishment if you expect good service and honesty in your dealings with the staff. However, if you don't mind paying for poor service and inattentive staff, then this is the place to be!

Lovely hotel with great views of Table Mountain. About 30 minutes from Cape Town so probably best suited to those who have stayed in Cape Town before.Easy access to City. Right on lovely beaches and good golf courses nearby.

The hotel is a few hundred meters form the beach and offers some views of the ocean from the front top floor. The hotel is modern and offers basement parking. Reception was just about adequate. The rooms are fairy Spartan, but offers what is required. Bedding and towels not of the highest quality one would expect at this price level. It was clean and fresh though. The snacks in the bedroom is a very nice touch. Breakfast was the standard offering. The road in front of the hotel was surprisingly busy for Melkbosstrand early in the morning. Best to leave the sliding door to the balcony closed for a bit of a sleep in.

No gym in the hotel? Thanks.
Answer from 42Sue
Cape Town Central, South Africa
Hi, we do not have a gym in the Hotel, but are 400m away from a seven kilometre stretch of beach, perfect for running or walking, there are gyms in Table View which is 12 kilometres away. Thank you.
