A classic clean hotel very nicely situated. Friendly staff. However the facilities are not up to standard of today and do not match the price setting. The spa is very limited, hot tub empty. All and all below our expectations. Not worth a d-tour
Location of the hotel was really good and it is really nice located with view of the river and park. Price is also quite good especially since it is rated 5 star. Staff was very helpful and rooms nicely decorated. However we had higher expectation of the restaurant that I would really only rate average. Too bad as it is really nice located in front of the river.
Have now stayed at this hotel three times and looking forward to returning! The location is very quiet yet only 20 minutes to center of Strasbourg, the rooms absolutely charming, great swimming (inside pool & jacuzzi) with lounge chairs both inside and outside. Old world charm & true relaxation. Can truly be recommended for singles, couples and families with children. The Winstub restaurant has a nice very nice terrace and great children's menu. The only downside is that the service can be quite slow and the level of cooking could be improved.
We stayed here hoping to go to the Strasbourg Christmas market. The hotel is not near the market. The rooms are just typical nothing really great about them for staying in a “castle.” We didn’t have a reservation for the restaurant so they turned us away. We found a fantastic restaurant in town so we were overjoyed about that experience. We visited the spa area with pool, that was nice. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations around the castle.
Great location, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. This has been an amazing stop-over on our way back from Italy. Restaurant was also good quality/price level. Great that they had a Tesla charger. No complaints at all.
The hotel is located out of Strasbourg France, nice location, nice building, it must have deserved a 5 stars grade some 40 years ago (no joking), every thing looks old and shabby, they do have a SPA, but for the regular guest it may may not say a lot. the 245 euro per night without breakfast is ridiculous. could be turned into a treasure, but they need a wake p call. the staff is young and nice, but should have some polish. interesting experience
What a perfect stay! Very kind and helpful staff, great room and very nice facilities. The room and bathroom (with separate bath and shower) were clean and the bed was larger than in most hotels I've been in last few years (at least King Size). The swimming pool was clean and quite large for an indoor-hotel-pool and the turkish steam bath was great. There was also a sauna and a massage room, but we didn't use those. Standard check-out time was noon so lots of time to enjoy the hotel, the lovely grounds, the bar, the 8-ball pool table, swimming pool, sauna, Turkish steam bath, sun beds outside of the indoor pool area, and everything else! Upon checking out the very kind staff offered us complimentary bottles of mineral water for on the road - a very nice touch! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!…
We really enjoyed staying at Chateau de L'ile. The service was perfect even I bothered them so much when I had trouble to book the room. They also really cared while we staying. We also liked the atmosphere of the Alsace lots!
The hotel is situated in a lovely area just south of Strasbourg. It was very convenient to get to the city as well as other places we were visiting. The hotel had good facilities, plenty of parking and we really enjoyed eating in the restaurant. The room was spacious and clean. Most of all the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Strasbourg.
We have been visiting this nice and cosy hotel duriing Easter Weekend, pleasant atmosphere, nice and freindly welcome / staff, very nice room overlooking the garden / parking place area, couldn´t use the Spa and swimming pool area, but this was lookingalso nice and they have plenty of offerings for Spa, massage and else. Used the internal restaurant "Winstub de L´Ile" (one out of two inside the hotel) for dinner, various offerings for starter until desert, we took the offered menu "Alsace´s" for 36€ which was really worth the money. We started with House-made chicken pâté pie with a raw vegetable salad and 6 Snails, for main course we chose Alsatian choucroute with 6 different types of meat but Chicken with crispy asian vegetables instead of Traditional bouchée à la Reine, house-made spaetzle and finsihed our dinner with Munster produced by the Fromagerie Siffert and Iced kougelhopf with marc de Gewurztraminer. Everything was very tasty, á la minute and delicious. Caring staff and sitting outside was rounding up the evening. After having a very quite and relaxing sleep and our nice room we entered the offered breakfast on next morning where you could choose from everything you woulld expect / like to have in the morning including meat, cheese, salmon, marmelade, pancakes, marmelade, honey, variety of very tasty yogurt, variety of white and dark bread, cakes, bakery products and cereals scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice, of course coffee and else. When we plan to vist Strasbourg and Colamr again we will not miss to book Le Chateau de LÍle also.…
