smartline Cosmopolitan Kos is on the outer fringes of Kos Town in Greece, a short stroll from Lambi beach. This low-rise, apartment-style hotel has been renovated to give it a fresh look and a contemporary feel. The exterior is whitewashed in a traditional Mediterranean way. Inside, you'll see white walls, tiled floors and splashes of bold colour. The hotel is bright and airy, thanks to a number of open-air bar and restaurant spaces, as well as some landscaped communal areas. Once you've soaked up some sunshine by the outdoor pool, you could find a shady spot on the terrace and cool down with a drink from the bar. The hotel also has a small garden area you can wander through, and it's a short walk down to the beach if you'd rather cool off in the sea. The restaurant at smartline Cosmopolitan Kos provides Greek and international food, with a wide selection of local seafood dishes prepared to order. At the pool bar, the snack menu should help tide you over in between meals during the day. This is a family-friendly hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy the spa, with its sauna and Turkish bath, and you can book a treatment. The kids can play in the children's pool, or head to the nearby beach where they can build sandcastles and splash in the waves. If you fancy some evening entertainment, you might like to enjoy the lively nightlife scene on offer in Kos' resort centre.

Amazing service from the moment we walked in, extremely friendly and polite staff. Kathy has been exceptionally friendly, checking up on us everyday during our meals. The hotel has a great location, 5 min walk to the closest beach and there is a bus stop infront of the hotel as well as affordable tour travel agencies for days out. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the balcony had a lovely view. Food prepared by Savvas was tasty and there was a great variety of dishes to try from - including some greek cuisine. Very happy during my visit and i recommend this Hotel to all parties - family, friends or solo as they really can cater to your needs with no disappointment!!
Thank you all, Wiktoria.

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely two week holiday at the Cosmopolitan Hotel . We were originally booked to travel to Tenerife , however, because of the Covid restrictions , that holiday was cancelled . We decided to book Kos instead , and we are so glad we did . The hotel is situated in Lambi , not far from the beach , and some lovely restaurants and bars . There is a bus stop right outside the hotel , which takes you to Kos harbour . Which is a must see , when you stay in Kos ! The hotel itself , has a lovely bright modern interior , great restaurant and superb pool area . We were booked half board , although we ate out most evenings , as not only did we want to sample as much of the Greek food as we could , we wanted to support the locals though the unprecedented year . There is a good variety of food for breakfast , which is buffet style , likewise in the evenings . Our room was cleaned every day , and we were given with fresh towels . The pool area , has comfortable sun loungers , which were spaced out , good size pool and a great bar . Tony and Alison who work there , are so friendly and helpful . They truly made our stay even better . The Cosmopolitan Hotel is great value for money , a good location and has fabulous staff . Hopefully one day we will return 😊

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Christina cleaned our room daily to a high standard - 2 twin beds, hairdryer, TV, fridge, ample storage, air con, a nespresso machine and coffee pods (1 euro) and balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The staff work incredibly hard, have enormous pride in their work and go over and above to maintain their high standards. CV19 is managed well at this hotel and as part of that, the buffet is served. This gives the dining room staff Tanya, Stephanie, Zerin and Alison even more work to do but they do so with grace, a smile and its all hands on deck - even Savvas the chef would help out to ensure guests were served quickly. We were never stuck for something good to eat. There's a hotel bar which has an outside, covered area. Manolis prepares the most fantastic cocktails. The pool has enough sunbeds and offers towels. Tony and Alison, who never seem to stand still, look after the pool/snack bar and also the dining room and they do a fantastic job. The hotel is situated 20 minutes walk from town, it is a straight, flat walk. You will pass a variety of bike/ car hire shops, bars, restaurants, small supermarkets. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you directly to the harbour. Maria and Irene at reception can provide you with a map- and we should also thank them for their valuable recommendations. Tips: 1) Take a travel kettle 2) Hire a bike for a few days if you are planning to get out and about as there are cycle lanes everywhere.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews, price and location, in the evenings we enjoy a stroll so thought the 25 minutes into Kos town would be ideal. The front of the hotel is very modern with a little bar to the right and the restaurant to the left. We checked in and the receptionist directed us to our sea view room on the second floor. Now, we have seen these rooms on YouTube etc so we knew that there wasn't much of a sea view....but to discover we were overlooking the Clampetts with their sheep and barking dogs was another thing altogether.
Anyway, the room was adequate, lovely comfy beds, a tele, fridge, air con and plenty of storage. The shower room was ok, limescale stopped the doors on the showers from gliding and the air vent was thick with dust but it was overall clean. Lovely clean linens and towels. One aspect of the room I did think was really good was the electronic "Do not disturb" and "clean me" buttons. The cleaning staff are wonderful, hard working and so friendly. We had no issues with noisy neighbours or door slamming which we had read about.
The staff make this hotel and I wonder if this is why people return so often. They are friendly and always try to help.

But for us the main issue we had was the food, we have never been to a hotel where there was so little choice. The night we arrived was barbecue night, which is great if you like a lot of meat, but we had chips and green beans (cold) as the trays were empty. We ate out 6 times out of 12 nights, if you enjoy chips or wedges every night you'll be fine. I always eat fish on holiday but the mush served was awful. Very, very limited choices, usually cold as they have fans blowing on the food (to keep flies away), generally basic quality-I'm not a food snob but when you can't make a meal....breakfasts were a little better, a microwave would have been a good idea. For 10 days we walked around a bucket and towels on the floor as there was a leak coming from the celing. The restaurant has a ginger cat that comes and goes, one of the staff will remove it but others turn a blind eye, ok if you're a cat lover.
The hotel is perfectly situated for the beach and also the short walk into Kos town (25 minute stroll) but it was too hectic for my liking there. Lambi has some amazing restaurants and a few good bars. Recommended is Mylo's on the beach where there were great sun loungers and bar/restaurant with a chilled feel. Delons pub for great drinks and ideal for watching sports on the TV, fantastic hosts and FLINTSTONES for some great cocktails.

In summary, Lambi is a lovely small place, the hotel is not for me sadly.

*On the last day they let us pay to keep our room on, €30 for an extra 6 hours which was great and we really appreciated)*

We made a last minute booking to Cosmopolitan hotel. This was a great choice. They made sure we could have a great holiday even with the coronavirus and all the rules, well done! So much hospitality!
The location was perfect, near the beach where the sunset is beautiful! You can rent bikes everywhere for just 3euro a day and with those bikes you get to the centre within 5minutes.

The rooms are clean and everyday they get cleaned again! The room had everything we needed, even two great balconies.
The swimmingpool was nice and they have enough sunbeds. There's even a towelservice!

The breakfast and diner is good and there's lots of variation. Due to the staff we could relax and enjoy!

At night you can get some nice drinks at the bar where Manolis makes great cocktails!

All the staff was kind, spoke good english, and made it great time for us. Thank you!
We like to thank kathy, Tony, manolis, zerin, tania, Savvas and the rest!

Greetings from the netherlands,

Bente and Leroy

Stayed here for a week and had a really enjoyable stay.
Positives - great pool area, comfy sunbeds and a massive plus is there is no queues or fights for a sunbed on a morning. There is plenty for everyone and people just came as they wanted - no reserving with towels. That deserves a star in itself because it was stress free and brilliant!
Pool bar has lovely staff and decent food, I’ve added pictures of the menu. The pork gryos was lovely.
The whole hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean and all staff were really pleasant.
Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable and the aircon works perfectly and is included in the room which is good. There is also a great sized fridge with a freezer compartment which was an added bonus. The bathroom is slightly dated but was clean and the shower was powerful so no complaints at all.
The only negative to the hotel is the food but even then it still deserves a 5 mark rating. The breakfast is nice, a variety of different eggs and breads, salads, fruit cereal and yogurts which were all great. However the evening meal isn’t nice but that could be our taste. We only ate in the restaurant 3 times and two nights they served liver! One night there was a bbq which was ok. But I wouldn’t let the food put you off, there is always something like a salad or potato wedges or pasta and cream sauce but we chose to eat out to actually enjoy what we ate.
Location wise, it’s quiet but if you turn left out the hotel and walk 3 mins down the road there is a lovely beach and you see the most amazing sunset. Turn right and walk 5 mins and there’s Lambi beach with a beach bar, if you order food or drinks the sunbeds are free. It’s around 20 mins walk into Kos town or there is a shuttle bus but they turn up very randomly and are very full as the hotel is the last stop, we queued once and it drove past as it was already full!
Overall a lovely hotel and for the price the not great food wasn’t a problem to us. We would definitely come again.

This hotel is in a great location in Lambi, it’s a short walk to the beach and there’s a few bars and restaurants nearby.
It is very clean and the rooms are done daily, but by far the best thing about this hotel is the staff.
They all work so hard and always with a friendly smile, they can’t do enough to ensure that you get the most out of your holiday. The food is very good considering the restrictions that are in place. The pool area is also brilliant with plenty of comfortable sun beds.
We booked for 2 weeks in October and decided to stay for an extra week, we’ve already decided that we’ll be back again next year. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrived at approx 1 am local time and the hotel night manager had cold plates of buffet food and bottles of water for us which was very much appreciated. Our rooms (two rooms for four of us) were spotlessly clean every day and there was plenty of storage for our belongings.
The pool area was spotlessly and there were always plenty of sunloungers available. The spa also gave each guest a towel for their sunbed each day so we didn't need our own.
The pool bar staff were just the loveliest people (Tony and his wife) and the cocktails were perfect!
All in all this hotel is excellent value for money and the town centre is just a short walk away.
We would all come back here to stay again and highly recommend it.

We decided to take a little holiday late in the season, and I am so glad we decided on the Cosmopolitan. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we felt so welcome. The receptionist, the barman, the pool bar man, the restaurant servers, everyone is so lovely and friendly and always said hello and goodbye!! The hotel is in a lovely area, about 20mins - half an hour walk from Kos Town, but it is a nice walk and you can discover a lot on the way. The hotel and the hotel staff are lovely. They cannot do more to make you feel welcome and ensure that you have a good time. The food was always fresh and, even though they were at the end of the season, it was always delicious and there was plenty of selection. We hired bikes to get around for a day and everywhere you go, including the hotel, there are places to park your bike. We spent our last day in the Apollon Hotel next door and although the Hotel is also lovely, the "friendly feel" was not there and the food was not a patch on that at the Cosmopolitan. You wont go wrong by choosing this hotel. The only fault I is that the room we booked picture a walk in shower, but the room we we given had a shower in the tub and was very awkwardly positioned. I could have asked to be moved but we had been

We arrived late at night and the night porter checked us in and asked us if we were hungry and told us to come straight back down and brought us some leftover food from the evening buffet which was good, a sandwich would’ve sufficed but a really good start to the holiday.
The room was clean and tidy and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in in Greece. Big shout out to the cleaning staff, who do a great job, they were lovely and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. All of the staff here are really nice.
The pool area is great and we never had to fight to get a bed, we usually got there around 10am and got a bed no problem. Pool towels are provided and collected from the spa next to the pool bar. I was surprised there was no deposit needed, just asked for room number and that we try and keep them for 3 days if possible, before swapping for clean ones.
The only reason I’ve not given a 5 star review was the buffet, a bit too canteen-like for us. There just never seemed to be enough food out at times and the selection wasn’t the best either. We ate out 4 of the 10 nights as we wanted some authentic Greek food.
If you turn left out of the hotel the beach 5 minutes around the corner, which faces Turkey gets the sunset and wow they do have amazing sunsets there overlooking Pserimos and Kalymnos.
If you turn right out of the hotel towards Kos Town, what should be a relaxing 25 minute walk takes at least 10 minutes longer because they’ve taken some of the path up and made it a two way bicycle path. So be prepared to jump out of the way for bikes, e-scooters and even electric mopeds at times! I think that’s why so many people get the bus which is right outside the hotel.
