We stayed 4 nights and wished we had longer here. The location on the east side of Gili Air is away from the main areas but only a few minutes walk away. The view if the sunrise from here us beautuful. The bungalows are spacious and the outdoor shower great. The site is also spacious with bungalows spread around the outside of an open area with swimming pool and coconut trees. Breakfast is simple as is the whole menu. Can recomnend the pancake rolls and french fries for lunch! There is a private beach area with loungers and beach bags and parasols. Great snorkelling off the beach when the tide is in. Resort has its own generator which comes on when the electric on the island goes off happened a few times during our stay. Plenty of help at reception where you can book various trips. Recommend Cha Cha snorkelling trip which leaves from right outside the resort.…
We originally came to Gili Air for 1 week and after a few days realized we wanted to extend to 2 weeks. This was mainly due to the Segar Villages staff who immediately made us feel like family. The bungalows are rustic, funky and comfortable. The food and drinks at the restaurant are exceptional. We looked forward to the breakfast to order variety every day. This included freshly squeezed juice. We made a special bond with everyone here. They went above and beyond in helping us. Very nice beachfront, which Segar maintains perfectly groomed great for snorkeling or swimming.
We stayed here for 4 days and would have stayed even longer, if possible. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Segar village is located at the east coast and a bit calmer than the area at the south eastern coast. You can be there in around 5 minutes by foot. Our room was great and I could see the sun rising above lombok every morning while waking up (doesn't work for every bungalow, though). It was clean and had an ac and a fridge. The bath is clean too, but because it has no roof (like most bathrooms on Gili air), there might be just a few ants. The water is slightly salty, and has only on temperature, but that's the case on the whole island (except maybe the luxus-resorts). The walls are nicely painted with different themes. The do laundry for the normal local price and it smells good. You get a small bottle of water each morning on your balkony and you can get a refill at the reception all the time. On of the best aspects was the breakfast at the beach. You can get nice jaffels (like a toasted sandwich), pancakes, an omelet or toast. Additionally you get a fruit yuice, or a milkshake and tea or coffee. The even have real milk. The iced lemon tea is one of the best of the whole island! It's made with black tea and fresh lime. There is a great snorkeling area directly in front of the beach-restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and wish all the best luck to Abdi and his team!!! …
Stayed in July 2019 for 8 nights. This is our 3rd visit. Along with many other properties on the island, Segar Village sadly lost some of its rooms in the 2018 earthquake, making life very tough and putting livelihoods at risk. The team here have put much work into cleaning up after this devastating event and Segar Village is looking good. Lovely pool, friendly staff, daily views of the beautiful monitor lizards, We really couldn’t ask for more. Thank you to all at Segar Village for a wonderful stay!
The burger is ridiculous and its not to be considered a burger. Meat is so thin that I hade the feeling of having ordered a salad burger. Too expensive. Not a good choice to have lunch. Expensive just because of being close to the sea.
