What can I say about this hotel, except I didn’t want to actually share this gem on here for fear of everyone booking and no place for me next year. This hotel is something special. The staff, the facilities and location are all excellent. From Wendy’s warm welcome, Theo and Costa on the bar and the lovely breakfasts this place leaves an imprint on your heart. I truly felt part of the family. I travelled alone and met people who I know will be friends for life. This is an hotel where you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The beach is at the bottom of the road (2 min walk). I enjoyed jogging along here each morning. The supermarket is here too and it is a pleasant walk into town. I didn’t find anywhere to eat or drink that I didn’t enjoy. I will be returning next year and that is very rare for me.

The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet street just off the main road, with Skala beach, bars and restaurants nearby. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk into Skala town where you will find more restaurants and shops. The pool and pool bar were fantastic for relaxing and our room (twin upper) was very spacious and kept clean throughout. The hotel is family-run and everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We really felt very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay tremendously; when we next visit Kefalonia we will stay here again!

We have returned from a week at the Melidron Hotel, we were apprehensive with all Covid 19 restrictions but the anxieties melted away when we arrived to be greeted by Wendy. She explained precautions in place for our safety and the hotel is spotless. The apartment for 3 of us was spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely and served with a smile ....everything was cleaned down as soon as moved to ensure no cross contamination with other guests. Skala it’s self was very welcoming and relaxing again with strict measures in place but not too imposing that your holiday was spoilt. We would strongly recommend this hotel, you will be well looked after by Wendy, Theo and Zefie and we thank them for a wonderful holiday, we will be back very soon ....

Wonderful hotel in Skala set back within lovely gardens overlooking the blue sea. Melidron is a special place and everyone is made to feel very welcome. Special mentions to Theo on the bar who made us laugh and prepared amazing Greek Salads and drinks; Wendy on reception who is welcoming and helpful ensuring that everyone is looked after; And the lovely Sula who prepared our lovely breakfasts and was constantly smiling. The hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean, rooms are large and the beds are so comfortable. The pool is surrounded by comfortable sun beds with plenty of shades including a variety of palm trees. Air con, pool towels and safe are included in the price. We have booked for next year and can’t wait to return. Skala is a small resort with various tavernas along the beach and up in the village. Beach is sand/pebbles and the sea is warm and crystal clear. Look our fir the glorious sun rises.

We stayed at the Melidron August 11 - 21 / 2020 in a family room which consisted of decent size living room with double bed settee and very large double bedroom and 2 balconies all spotlessly clean. The family and staff at the Melidron gave us a great introductory welcome and straight away we felt comfortable in the Hotel. This was down to Zeffie, Wendy, Theo and not forgetting the rest of the staff who could not do enough for us whether at breakfast or on room cleaning- Thank You! The Hotel was almost full and this was due to many of the guests returning following previous stays which again was down to the high level of service and friendliness provided at this Hotel. I have had some uncomfortable mattresses over the years but this one was very comfortable. The pool area is great and we preferred the grassed side down to the hot August sunshine. AS mentioned short stroll into Skala in the evening with a walkway protected from the road. The Covid pandemic has had a major impact on Hotels like this which have a relatively short season May to October- the Hotel was Covid Compliant without having too much of a negative on our stay. This Hotel deserves its high level of repeat bookings.
