We managed to get away to Villa Costa in September in between lockdowns As ever Mario was there to welcome us. It must be a tough year for all of them. We experienced some really bad weather on the second day, with no electricity over the whole island with severe damage in some parts but after three days electricity back on no more cold showers.!! Strangely this did not affect our Holiday we still had a good time. Roll on next June when we can return.

Just sitting on the balcony enjoying the view of the sea. Our room overlooks the beautiful gardens in this small hotel in Skala. Home cooked food is delicious and everyone is very helpful. Having a small kitchen area and fridge in the room is an added bonus. Walking distance to the village.

We last visited Villa Costa in 2015 and were booked in again the following year when an ear infection meant my wife could not fly. However we have just returned from another excellent, realxing and chilled out break in this truly terrific family run villa. Mario greeted us at the gate and showed us to our room which, as before was clean and welcoming and then it was down to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. The food is excellent and well served by Theo, who actually and yes geuinely remembered us from our previous visit. Over the last forty years of travel, this is the only place my wife and I have returned for a repeat visit and it was worth it. We could really 'chill out' and relax and the quality of the food and wine meant we had no need to 'dine out'. This is an adult only hotel, which is an added bonus and I must say that we did not find the wine overpriced, considering the quality offered. Full marks to Mario and his team for another memorable stay.

This was our third visit to the Villa Costa and it didn't disappoint. Met by Marios at the gate when we arrived......is such a lovely gesture. What a lovely week, mostly spent lazing around the pool in such beautiful gardens...Bliss The hospitality shown by the owner Marios is second to none.Including his team ,Theo his sister Vasso and chef Makis and Veronika the housemaid. The food is delicious- ambiance perfect Wine tasting evening. Is excellent-Marios is an connoisseur The beach with Turquoise sea is only a few metres across the road. It is only a short stroll to Scala town on the flat. An excellent trip out on Marios boat to Ithaka is not to be missed with lunch and picnic on deserted beach. What a lovely week we had ...can't wait to go again

Went for a weeks break at the end of July. What a fantastic place for couples. Great welcome from owner Mario. Lovely room with balcony with a sea view..the sea being just across the road. Very clean room, linen and towels changed daily. The food was of excellent quality. Garden was beautiful , the pool and sun bed area was great and being such a small hotel ( only 8 rooms) getting a bed was never a problem. Definitely recommend Mario’s Boat trip. A must for next year.
