My partner and I were staying at the hotel in mid October. On the first day we were greeted by a lovely and friendly team, who were also handling everything according to COVID restriction (wearing masks, measuring the temperature, giving gloves at the buffet etc). Immediately we felt very welcomed and safe. Check in went fast and were led to our double room with sea view. We really liked it! It was clean, there were plenty of welcome treats for us like big fruit bowl, wine, coffee, tea etc. The highlight was a big & comfortable bed! A dream for those who need a proper rest! The bathroom was spacious, with nice and fluffy towels. And OMG, the quality of toiletries was fantastic! You know there are many hotels who are saving a lot on the shampoos and cremes but here it was not the case! And of course the view. We were very lucky with that: We could enjoy the beautiful outdoor swimming pools, olive trees and the private beach. Another highlight was of course the variety of food. I was a bit worried when we arrived in Greece regarding the food since we are vegetarians. We all know that Greek cuisine contains a lot of meat. But here we were spoiled with choices! We never left hungry or unsatisfied. And hey the dessert area was just divine! There was another highlight for kids: A special buffet for kids that was made according to their size. So cute! So they can be like grown ups and decide by themselves what they want. Also there were not only fries and sausages how it often happens in restaurants but plenty of healthy options too! + as All Inclusive guest you can drink and eat all day long! The swimming pool area needs some special attention. They are just fantastic, a great place to take many nice pictures. The swimming pools are clean and have enough space to swim if there are a bit more people. There is a kiddie pool and also waterslides just next to the playground for kids. Kid's paradise, right? Not to forget to mention the wonderful private beach and various activities for the grown-ups: Table tennis, tennis, a gym at the resort. Furthermore the area is popular for cycling. The latest addition is archery, which we decided immediately to attend. That is so much fun! So all in one a wonderful hotel, with great staff and a beautiful view. Plus the location is great since it's close to nearby towns. You can even reach it by bus which is just 1 minute away from the hotel.

Dear Kate T, We would really like to thank you for your inspiring and comprehensive feedback on the Resort's facilities and services. Needless to say, we are more than thrilled to know that you found Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort to be great and that you felt totally safe and comfortable during your stay! Likewise, it is so rewarding that you speak highly of our friendly and zealous team members that work tirelessly in order to offer to our guests a relaxing holiday. Moreover, we are glad that you thoroughly enjoyed your ample room and most of all your comfy bed. The sea view rooms offer indeed some breathtaking views of the Homeric Ionian sea right in front of the Resort. In addition, we are so happy that we succeeded in offering to you high quality food options - and vegetarian ones - based on the world famous Mediterranean cuisine, accompanied by every day Show cooking, Thematic dinners and a plethora of fresh and local products to pleasure every taste! Last but not least, we certainly try to offer various and diverse daytime activities like archery, pilates, stretching, aqua fit & fun, water volley ball, zumba fitness, tennis, table tennis, basketball and so on, which you were obviously fond of. We surely await with sheer pleasure to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our resort in the near future! Stay safe and keep on dreaming the sunny and warm days to come next summer... Kind regards, Apostolos Ioannidis Resort Manager

We stayed at the Atlantica Eleon For October half term, as family of 3 with our 11 year old son. We were impressed with the hotel and the Covid 19 protocols that were in place. Hotel - The hotel was clean and its grounds were well kept, the staff work extremely hard day and night and nothing was too much trouble and they were always friendly and pleasant. The hotel has a 5* platinum rating from Tui. To be honest I would class it as 4* plus because of the amenities it has to offer such as: Gym, sauna, spa, mini market indoor/outdoor restaurant. Obviously due to Covid and the time of year we chose to go, we were not able to use some of the facilities the hotel had to offer. Food/Drinks: We stayed here a week and my son and Hubby can be very fussy and always managed to find something to eat. We never had any issues with the food at all, there was always a good variety and it always tasted good too. I will say that the guy who served the meat was a little grumpy and only gave one slice each night, maybe he is told to do this who knows? Drinks were standard AI and nothing to complain about, however some of the soft drinks had an acquired taste. Rooms: We had a double room with an extra bed in for our son. The room was plenty big enough for us all and the decor was clean and fresh. We thought that maybe the furniture in the room was a little tired and would benefit from some being replaced. We found the beds extremely comfortable and the tea/coffee, mini fridge and safe in the room were a bonus. Evening Entertainment: This was Ok and noticed lots of little ones enjoying the mini disco. I'm sure the entertainment was a little different, due to being the end of season and being indoors due to the colder weather. I would like to think in the summer months when the outdoor entertainment area is used there may be a more varied evening entertainment programme. Daytime entertainment: Our son enjoyed the daytime entertainment programme and the staff work really hard to get all the children involved in the different activities. Pool areas: There are lots of different pools which were all clean and the areas around them were well kept. The slide pool was lots of fun for the children and the adults and once in the water it actually didn't feel that cold! The only thing I would like to see different would bean extra toilet block closer to the slide pool for people to use. Pool snack bar: A big shout out to the staff who worked in the pool/snack bar, how they put up with those wasps all day I will never know! Food and drinks here were tasty and staff work extremely hard. Mini market: We felt that the onsite mini market did not have a lot of choice and was a little expensive. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week away at Atlantica Eleon and found it to be a lovely relaxing break for a reasonable price.

We too stayed during the October half term holiday. As so many others have said not up to 5* standard. I booked directly with the hotel but didn’t get informed that the spa pool would be closed during our stay and had been all year. In addition I wasn’t told that if it was cold in the evenings that the a la carte restaurant and outdoor entertainment area and bar would not be available and no alternatives are offered. Everyone was herded into the bar and lobby area each evening for the children’s disco and evening entertainment ( not COVID safe) . Very young children were left to run wild round the corridors and up and down the stairs. As only a limited amount of seating is available we had no option but to return to our room after dinner. I have to agree with other comments regards the food. They seem to favour quantity over quality. The only fish offered was a white fish in various sauces, we did not see any other fish or seafood during our stay. Very few tradition Greek options were offered - we go to Greece because we love Greek food so we found this very disappointing. I also love cheese but the same 4 cheeses were offered for lunch and dinner - with a selection of jams? The food was never very hot, the plates were stacked so high on the plate warmers it would be impossible to heat them, so food no better then just warm. I ditto the comment about the meat man, he was very grumpy and it was as if the meat was on ration. Sadly not the holiday that we had hoped or paid for. It’s a beautiful location and we had fantastic views from our room but apart from that it was all very underwhelming. I have now taken time to read more reviews over the last year, the same issues are raised time and time again and seem to fall on deaf ears.

Dear Armstong8, We would like to thank you for your precious feedback and the time you took to review our resort's facilities and services. It is indeed so good to know that you found the resort to be beautifully located amongst lush greenery in a quite area of Zante's coastline. Likewise, we are glad to see that you enjoyed the amazing views of the Homeric Ionian sea, expanding unobstructed before your eyes, right in front of the Resort. Regarding the use of the Indoor pool, it is undoubtedly true that certain Health and Safety protocols related to Covid 19 have obliged us to alter our normal operation the past year. Further to our outdoor restaurants, bars and entertainment, unfortunately operate weather permitting on the outside venues and as it rained for some days during the period of your visit we had to adjust our services the best way we could, given the circumstances. Obviously, everything does look and feel much better when it is not raining and all our outlets are fully operational, providing to our guests more options and alternatives. Apart from the above, kindly allow us to doubt your comment about our food variety and quality as the fact is that almost all our guests repeatedly report in person, through our social media channel reviews and in the relevant questionnaires we receive each week from our Tour Operators that they savor our Chef's and his team creations and find our fresh plethora of food offering to pleasure their taste! Please allow me to point out that the resort proudly participates in the program ’’Greek breakfast’’ of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, which aims to highlight the regional gastronomic wealth by using fresh local and Greek products which are at the heart of the Mediterranean Diet. To top that, our weekly Thematic dinners of Greek cuisine, Ionian islands cuisine and Cypriot cuisine focus mainly in showcasing the best of the local Greek and Eastern mediterranean traditional recipes. Needless to say, all your points raised will be taken under consideration from our Management team. We really hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future at Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort! Kind regards, Apostolos Ioannidis Resort Manager

Stayed at the Atlantica Eleon during October half term break with my teenage sons. Very warm welcome and all front facing staff were helpful and friendly. I had expected to arrive at a five star hotel and it did take me a few days to adjust to the fact its really not a five star and I would say TUI need to review the platinum status. We stayed in a double room with sea view and balcony. The room was in the main building and overlooked the sea/pool and panorama cocktail bar. I wouldn’t recommend this location as you get no sun on the balcony due to the building next to the room. There was also no lighting on the balcony so you couldn’t sit out there in the evenings. In addition the evening entertainment took place in the lobby so the noise bellowed down the hallway and into the neighbouring rooms. The room itself was ok. The sofa bed was poor - I would say it was a mattress topper and a sheet rather than a mattress. I requested a new kettle as the filter was mouldy this was rectified after two requests. I reported the extractor in the bathroom didn’t work on arrival and this was never looked into after reporting more than once. There is a mini fridge but this is not stocked and there is no room service - again not very five star. Large wardrobes, powerful hot shower. Food was nice, themed nights I enjoyed the Asian (Chinese) night. The alcohol was not great and I don’t expect to pay for anything at an all inclusive resort. The liquor I would say had to be of a low percentage/watered down. I stuck to the sparkling white whine and the Singapore Sling cocktail was nice. Snack bar is open from 10am- 12pm and 3-6pm - chips, burgers etc. The hotel are following Covid guidelines in that they do check your temperature on arrival and on each entry to the restaurant. Masks and gloves are to be worn around the restaurant and when at the outdoor snack bar (masks) We didn’t use the pools. There are plenty of sun beds dotted around however not necessarily around the pool and the ‘no reservation policy’ is not enforced. There is not much locally and it was end of season. The hotel has a shop which I felt was poorly stocked but you could get a few snacks/drinks. There is a shop approx 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel which had most things including alcohol. I did read the reviews before booking and they were mixed hence I continued with the booking. I would say having now spent a week here, the reviews are accurate. Its not a bad hotel, we had a relaxing break but there is certainly room for improvement. PS: Watch out for the mosquitoes and wasps!!

Dear CherylE186402, We would like to thank you for your kind feedback and also for the time you took to provide us your detailed review. First things first, we are so proud that we managed to provide you with a relaxing break during October half term and that you found all our front team members to be helpful and friendly. Moreover, we are truly glad to hear that you savored our Chef's palatable delicacies and you found enough and diverse choices during breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with the every day Show cooking and Themed dinners. Kindly notice that the resort proudly participates in the program ’’Greek breakfast’’ of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, which aims to highlight the regional gastronomic wealth by using fresh local and Greek products which are at the heart of the Mediterranean Diet. Further to the lack of room service of food & drinks, please allow me to inform you that this was due to Health & Safety measures related to Covid 19. As for the balcony lights, kindly be advised that every single balcony possesses indeed a pair of night lights but you obviously did not see the switch on the wall probably because it was behind the room curtains. Last but not least, your well meant suggestions in order to improve our guest satisfaction are duly noted as we totally agree with you that there is space for improvements. We really thank you for being here with us and wish we have the opportunity to host you again in the future! Kind regards, Apostolos Ioannidis Resort Manager

I would question the authenticity of most of these recent positive reviews, the guests that my wife and I spoke to during our half-term break shared our view that this was a long way off expected "TUI Platinum" standard, 3-star at best and even then a tired/old 3-star. Damp and dirty rooms, cold/lukewarm food, an insect plague from the rooms to the outdoor pool, and watered down alcohol were regular discussion points. Dirty pool area and sunbed mattresses really need to be replaced/scrubbed. Positives; guest-facing staff (friendly, hard-working), wi-fi coverage and speed, coffee (excellent), kids club and entertainment staff, the omelette man (but please give him a second frying pan!), snack bar. Negatives; accommodation (damp/tired/unsafe/dirty and general poor quality), buffet restaurant food (tepid at all times and often shared in the company of birds, cats and even a dog), alcohol (watered down), private pools (dirty/unsafe/unusable), indoor pool (closed), insects (there is a problem here, wasps/ants/mosquitos running riot), grumpy meat man (almost as if he owned the cow/pig/chicken and is now reluctant to share any of it!), housekeeping (the rooms were just not clean, four occupied spider webs is not great for a supposedly fully sanitized room!, sofa-beds are a sofa with a sheet and duvet, and do not mention the mattress on the bed!)

Dear Moores68, Thank you for your review and the time you took to assess our Resort's facilities and services. Of course it is indeed much more efficient if this is done once you are still on the Resort, in order for us to have the chance to take action and proceed to amendments, if needed and available. Furthermore, your comment that you would question the authenticity of most of our recent positive reviews takes this to a whole new level of conspiracy theories... Kindly accept that Toni b, Agata, Haddatraveller, Tom R and Paul M to name just the last 5 reviews, were clearly and undoubtedly our guest's in our Resort these last weeks of operation just like you! In the bottom line, it is all about mindset and perspective. So, please allow us to feel extremely happy that you found our team members - not staff - to be friendly and hardworking, as they truly strive each day to offer to our guests a safe holiday amidst this pandemic. Likewise, it is so good to know that the wifi coverage and speed was more than adequate and our served coffee was to your liking. In addition, our Kids club and entertainment team members really do an amazing job in keeping all our adults and kids guests laughing and satisfied with joy! On the other hand, kindly allow us to doubt your comment about our food variety and quality as the fact is that almost all our guests repeatedly report in person, through our social media channel reviews and in the relevant questionnaires we receive each week from our Tour Operators that they savor our Chef's and his team creations and find our fresh plethora of food offering to pleasure their taste! Please allow me to point out that the resort proudly participates in the program ’’Greek breakfast’’ of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, which aims to highlight the regional gastronomic wealth by using fresh local and Greek products which are at the heart of the Mediterranean Diet. Moreover, kindly be informed that our 41.000 m2 organically grown estate, full of olive trees and lush gardens boasts of internationally recognized certifications for being sustainable and environmentally efficient such as Travelife Gold, Green Key and ISO 14001. This means that we have decided not to kill with chemicals all insect life around us and also that you may find some leaves in your pool... Last but not least, please rest assured that we have returned safely the cat to our neighboring house and handed over the poor stray puppy to Healing paws animal rescue here in Zakynthos https://www.healingpawsanimalrescue.com/ , along with the donated money of the season from our dear guests. Needless to say, all the comments you have made will undergone serious consideration from our Management team. We really hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future at Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort! Kind regards, Apostolos Ioannidis Resort Manager
