Cora Hotel & Spa is praised for its tranquil location and private beach, offering a serene retreat with beautiful pools and an elegant, lively atmosphere. However, guests have called out inconsistencies in service and housekeeping, with some experiencing slow service and cleanliness issues that mar the otherwise impressive room designs and views.
While the hotel's decor and live music are charming, the value for money is questioned by travelers who find the services overpriced.

We stayed for two weeks September to October, and enjoyed our stay immensely! The rooms (and the rest of the hotel) were modern, comfortable and always nice and clean. Staff very were friendly and helpful. The two swimming pool areas (one near the restaurants and the larger one, with both wading pools and a proper swimming pool, in a more quiet area) had plenty of lounge chairs and a pool bar each. Service was great!

Fantastic chill out! We’ve just returned from an amazing week at this stunning hotel. I didn’t choose it but it chose me…I won some money at Cheltenham races and then promptly spent it again on a charity auction, bidding on a 1 bed suite with sea view. Taxi from the airport was about 45mins and we arrived at a very smart looking reception, beautifully furnished and very welcoming. We were taken to our room (801) and were delighted when we opened the curtains to see our own private pool with views over the main pool and sea. The room was great with a very comfortable king size bed, sofa, massive TV, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. A complimentary bottle of red wine and baklava too! The whole complex is very classy, from the high end sun beds, cabanas and beautifully manicured gardens. We only went B&B, breakfast was buffet and a good selection, we also took some fruit and bits for a light lunch! I’m so glad we didn’t upgrade our dining as every evening we went into Afytos village. What a find! It’s like a Greek version of St Ives, beautiful cobbled streets lined with shops and restaurants over looking the azure Aegean Sea. NOTOS cafe bar was so cool with a DJ playing lots of 80’s music every evening. Taxi into Afytos is 7€ each way and I would highly recommend Vasillis at Halkadiki Taxis for both local and airport transfers. We’re so impressed with everything we are already looking at going back next year! I doubt I’ll be winning it next time though…..

My partner and I have just returned from 10 days at Cora. Overall we have had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. We got a room upgrade which was wonderful and our check in was very smooth including plates of food left for us in our room (we arrived very late). The hotel itself had incredible views and is very peaceful. There are always plenty of very comfortable sunbeds available. The pools are pretty cold but refreshing! Would recommend a visit to the beach and a swim in the sea (beach shoes advised) We visited the spa a few times which we really enjoyed and both had massages which were great! The rooms were cleaned daily without issue. We opted for bed and breakfast but ate in the buffet restaurant on 2 nights and 1 lunchtime. We ate at the Peruvian/Japanese one evening and at the Italian (cold plates/ tapas) another, we would strongly recommended giving both the Peruvian/ Japanese and the Italian a visit. There are a few areas of improvement in our opinion required in order for this hotel to achieve its 5 star status, the main issue we had was with the Eartha main buffet restaurant, especially at breakfast time. Every day we had to go up to staff to ask for coffee and almost every day our table was missing cups and spoons. Staff are very quick to clear away plates but seem to lack initiative when it comes to any other service. In addition we were interrupted more than once mid meal (mid- bite!) to sign or pay the bill. The food lacked a bit in quality and variety (e.g lack of fresh fruit at breakfast) and we didn’t see any of the show cooking that was mentioned. The menu for philos clearly stated that chips/side salad was included with all dishes but when we asked a waitress about this she advised this was not the case. Afitos, the local town is lovely with lots of good value places to eat and drink, taxis were easy to get and very cheap (€7). We would also highly recommend a trip to the local winery (Afytaion Gaia) for a gorgeous evening of wine tasting. Finally it would be ideal for the hotel to provide a room to get ready in for guests with later flights (we had to quickly use to spa showers before it closed) Overall with some improvement in service and food quality at the main restaurant we would recommend this hotel to others.

We were excited to book a room with a private pool and sea view, but upon arrival, our anticipation turned into disappointment when we realized our view was obstructed by a nearby building. Despite our efforts to upgrade and pay extra for this feature, we were left feeling frustrated by the manager's lack of helpfulness, offering only to cancel our non-refundable reservation. If you want to have a sea view during your stay, I would recommend to book a room with a sharing pool instead of a private pool. Less expensive and much better view!
However, the bright side of our stay was the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and the warmth of the staff. The cleaning and gastro teams went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and their friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcomed.
Our enjoyment was slightly dampened by a loud music event during our last two days, which disrupted the tranquility we had hoped for. Despite this setback, the overall experience was salvaged by the dedication of the staff.

Dear 680Eliram, Thank you for staying at the Cora Hotel & Spa and for taking the time to rate your experience with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our staff services. As it concerns the "sea view", we are pretty surprised by your review as we offer you immediately the chance to change room but you asked for an upgrade to our panoramic suite which was not possible due to high occupancy. We understand your dissatisfaction, but we hope that although you have had this experience, we will be able to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, George Fridas General Manager

‏A hotel with a modern design of a holiday village, but by definition not really 5 stars! The room with a balcony and a sea view is very pleasant to stay. The air conditioner works well. ‏A good standard breakfast, but in a 5-star hotel you expect more pampering and here there are no treats or special foods in the morning. Of all the photos on the site, only 2 pools are for all vacationers, the rest are wading pools or private pools. In the photos, it's beautiful, but in reality it's not useful! There is no jacuzzi on site. The private beach is full of stones and you should come with walking shoes for the water. ‏What spoiled my vacation experience is that the room is not cleaned or tidied unless you specifically requested it! Although the website states that there is daily maid service, which is expected from a hotel that says it is 5 stars. Also, changing towels in this room is on demand and not all the time!! I didn't come on vacation to chase maids and look for towels!! It's a shame that there aren't small gestures of generosity and abundance which gives a good feeling to the guest! Instead they demand 2 euros per coffee capsule !! Please note that entering the hotel with a car from Epitos (from the south) is really dangerous!! There is a no entry sign and they told us to enter that way! ‏Also there is no entertainment / music / atmosphere ‏In the pictures, the hotel makes a wonderful impression, but in reality it is disappointing. I wouldn't come back here and I wouldn't send friends here.

My stay at this hotel was overall very pleasant and relaxing. I especially want to highlight the fantastic location of the hotel, directly on its own natural beach, just a few steps away. This allows guests to fully enjoy the beautiful Greek coastline. It's best to bring beach/water shoes. It should be noted that despite the elevator, the path to the beach might be challenging for people with physical disabilities.
The hotel grounds themselves are very spacious and well-maintained. The extensive gardens and clean outdoor areas invite you to take leisurely walks and relax. The room options are particularly noteworthy: many rooms have private pools or share a pool with adjacent rooms. These offer an exclusive way to refresh and relax. Additionally, the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished.
One small downside was the room service, which often occurred late in the day and could be more focused. Here, the hotel could certainly optimize to offer guests an even more pleasant stay.
Dinner at the APIRO Ă la carte restaurant was a culinary highlight. The diverse and flavorful dishes enriched my stay. I also really enjoyed the Elysium spa area with its various treatments, offering the perfect opportunity to fully relax and be pampered.
Regarding the service, there is still room for improvement. The service staff were always eager and friendly, but sometimes lacked the necessary efficiency and professionalism to meet high standards.
Conclusion: The hotel is ideal for a relaxing getaway in Greece. The great location, beautiful rooms with pool access, and well-maintained grounds provide the best conditions for a restful holiday. With a bit more focus on more efficient service, the hotel could reach its full potential and offer guests an even more unforgettable experience.

Beautiful hotel, location, swimming pools, grounds and rooms. Staff I think were trying really hard to make sure you were having a great stay. Food on evening was uninspiring, all very same each evening and no real stand out dishes in the week we were there. Few things could be improved, maid service not regular enough, tidy up communal areas once the pools close, would be good for the hotel to offer some way to get food after 10pm as there’s nothing nearby. Lots of people taxi into Afitos (€7 each way) on an evening as there’s nothing much to do at the hotel maybe they could provide a hotel shuttle bus to the village 3 or 4 times an evening each way? Wouldn’t go back but had a lovely stay.

The hotel complex is very nice, the massage in the spa was great and Maria, the masseuse did a great job and was also very friendly. The food and service otherwise in the hotel are not up to the 5* standard. The food by the pool as well as in the evening in the buffet restaurant are rather poor quality. The staff is friendly but not accommodating. I had to return my lunch 3x because it was not understood that I wanted a side salad instead of fries. Bath towels for the pool or beach are only available when the lifeguards arrive, which is not before 11 am. When I wanted to book a sailing trip, Sara advised me nicely at first, but could not book and later I was given the website and I had to book myself. My minibar was never refilled and my room was not cleaned in 2 days. It was not bad, but just not worthy of 5 stars.

The hotel is superb, with fabulous architecture and landscaping. The outdoor pool areas are arranged down to the smallest detail, and the cleanliness is exemplary. The rooms are charming, very well-equipped, organized, and maintained, offering a stunning view of the sea and the beach. I enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen here. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is varied and delicious, featuring high-quality, authentic local products. The live music evenings, organized in the bar area, further enliven and relax the atmosphere. A wonderful experience that I hope to repeat!

We arrived at Cora Beach as a late arrival. we checked in, and the staff were friendly. Our room had been upgraded to a suite, which was lovely and very comfortable. We were booked in as all-inclusive, but on arrival after travelling all day, we were not offered anything to eat, and the restaurant was shut, so we just had a drink in the bar which wasn't great. The hotel was stunning. Everything was nice and new with beautiful pools with lots of sunbeds around them and the food in the restaurant was really nice but we did feel being all-inclusive we didn't get the same level of drinks service as the half board guests in the restaurant and around the pool areas . The main bar in the evenings was nice, especially Greek music and the lovely cocktails, especially the strawberry daiquiri 's . The beach was not easily accessible and really rocky, and we definitely needed beach shoes. When we booked the hotel, it did say there was a food truck for snacks and drinks on the beach, but unfortunately, there was only a member of staff handing out bottles of water and towels. I did use the spa for a treatment, which was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the housekeeping let the hotel down our bed sheets were not changed in 10 days of being there, not really five-star service . In summary, we probably wouldn't return but enjoyed our time away.
