Detailed Reviews
This hotel is situated across the road from a beautiful clean sandy beach, in the town of Alcoceber, which is a short walk from Alossebre. All rooms have a balcony, most with a sea view. The pool area is good.We chose the full board option. The food is good, with plenty of options and the menu was varied every day.Ths is a good base to vist Sierra de Irta and Peniscola.

Chose this hotel partly for its beachfront position and pool, but mostly for its value-for-money Full Board option.
Positives: Great location just across the road from a lovely beach. Room was really clean and comfortable, although probably no more nor less than I was expecting from this 3-star offer in Alcossebre. Food however was surprisingly good - fresh and varied at each of the 3 daily meal services. Pool and bar terrace areas both really good also. A special shout out though goes to the hotel staff who were really some of the most efficient, effective and attentive staff that I've come across in my pretty extensive travels. Particularly the Receptionists and the maintenance guy who eventually solved the last-minute crisis with our room safe!
Negatives: Entertainment in the hotel was a little bit intrusive for those not part of that 'scene' and guests were pretty noisy going back to their rooms when the music stopped at midnight. There was always only one member of staff on Reception which could mean a bit of a delay in being dealt with.
General: Clientele at this point in the year mostly comprised French and Spanish and from an 'older' age bracket. Still fairly quiet in the area during our visit for a wedding locally in mid-May. There seemed to be two distinct areas of the hotel - the end that we stayed in (where the music/bar etc was) seemed to be a little bit less modernised and bright than the other.

We had an upgrade room with three bedrooms and two bathrooms which was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly although it was the last week of the summer season. The hotel is close to the beach which was clean. A very authentical due to many (elederly) Spanish guests. A nice hotel for families with kids. Alcossebre is a lovely little town with some good shops and restaurants.

Stayed at this hotel last week (end of Sept). Arrived early, about 11.30 and our room wasnt ready, which i expected. We left our cases there and the lovely lady on reception took my mobile no and said she'd ring when it was ready. About 20 minutes later got a call, very quick. I'd requested on my booking a double bed and a top floor room but the double beds aren't on the top floor (only twin beds) so the lady gave us two keys and let us go and choose the room we'd like! I thought that was great!
As stated on other reviews, the restaurant was very busy at times but it didn't matter, always spare tables and didn't have to queue for anything. And the food was excellent, so much choice, Caters for all tastes so there's bound to be something you like. I loved it all! And the restaurant staff (actually all the staff) were very friendly.
We used the pool a couple times, not huge but good enough. Anyway, the beach is just opposite the hotel, plenty of room there!
Alcossebre itself is not very big and pretty quiet so if you want to go clubbing this isn't the place for you! But if you want a relaxing time, going for walks, sitting on the beach, hiring a couple of bikes, eating well! and just chilling out then this is the place for you. They also do coach tours if you wanted to go further away for the day.
The hotel was excellent value for money and we're hoping to go back again next year.

Returned from this hotel 1 week ago. 2 hour flight to the new airport (castellon de le plana) the airport is very quiet so very swift exit to catch the bus to alcossebre. bus right outside main doors. there are only 2 buses 1 for north the other south, tickets have to be booked on line as you cant pay on bus, although I managed to buy ours at the information desk, forgetting to but a return, if these tickets are not pre booked the bus does not run the cost is 2o euro each return so we returned in a taxi for 30e.transfer to hotel 30 mins, further 10 min walk to hotel from bus stop.
the hotel is excellent, efficient and friendly staff, nice rooms and spotless.
the bar area was a pleasant place to sit and plenty of room and sunbeds around the pretty pool, although the hotel was full the restaurant was never crowded and the selection and quality of food was excellent and always being replenished. lovely beach in front of hotel with calm sea. 15 minute walk into town with a few bars and restaurants. 40 mins to the only English bar ( cheers). 1 spar supermarket and 2 tobacco shops.
the down side to this resort is the lack of bus service and there are only 4 taxis in the town and they need to be booked in advance, therefore hiring a car to visit this resort is a must. I would definatley recommend this hotel for older people and the town itself reminded us of our trips to spain 30 years ago. transfer back to airport 30 euros well worth the peace of mind

We arrived in the middle of a heavy storm a few hours early for check-in. The receptionist was very friendly and even had a room available. She spoke great English and was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. It had air conditioning, a safe and a mini fridge. The housekeeping staff were excellent and kept the room to a high standard.
The food was served as a buffet style and there was a good selection. The bar staff were friendly and provided table service. We had a few cocktails and they were very keen to know what we thought (they were great, by the way). We had a great time and the only thing that let us down was the weather. We hope to return when the sun is shining to fully enjoy the pool area.

We have really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely come again.
Positives:
Staff are very welcoming and friendly
The room is cleaned daily to a really good standard
Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds
1 minute walk to the beach
Beds are comfy
Hotel room wasn’t fancy or anything but it had everything that we needed
Mini fridge in the room
Lovely sea views
Slight Negative:
Food is okay but for a vegetarian I did struggle a bit. Okay if you want to have salad and chips but not a lot else. Food is labelled but doesn’t say if it’s vegetarian so you do end up guessing a little.
Breakfast I had plenty of choice but lunch and dinner I did struggle to find something.
My husband who eats everything said the choice was okay but not amazing.

It's a perfect place to stay with family. Hotel front of the beach and quiet. Comida is very good and staff is helpful. I recommend it. The place is surrounded by natural park so not too much construction in height.

We had an amazing holiday here in early June 2016.
There is nothing at all to find fault with the hotel. Everything was perfect.
It is within a stones' throw of a large clean beach. Perfectly located.
The food was amazing. Full of variety, puddings and cakes were divine.
We stayed in a family room which was spacious and provided a microwave, fridge and hob.
Alcossebre is a quiet, clean resort with 5 gorgeous beaches. Food and restaurants are plentiful in the town.
We loved the place so much we're returning late august.
See you soon Romana

Stayed here for 6 nights on a Full Board basis. The staff were very friendly, our twin room was very comfortable and spacious, with a terrace overlooking pool and beach. The room is air conditioned and there is a fridge with ice box in the room for guests to put their own drinks. Food was excellent and served as a buffet. As other reviewers have said the dining room can feel a bit like a canteen at times, especially when it is busy and the noise level rises. However, the food choices are excellent and ample so there is definitely no chance of going hungry.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Suspect it might not be the best place to be in the high season -just too busy and probably pricey- but out of season like us it represented excellent value and I would highly recommend it. Alcossebre is a lovely seaside town and is a short drive from the Castellon Airport, which since last September has twice-weekly Ryanair flights from Stansted and a weekly flight from Bristol.
