Detailed Reviews
If you are going to segregate dogs and their owners from other clients, please make this clear in the details you publish about your site. Be honest and then everyone can make an informed choice. After 30 years of camping all over Europe, this is the first site we have found with restrictions on where dog owners can have emplacements. Don’t expect to stroll around the site with your pet or to meet up with friends on site. Only venture into the tiny proportion of the site designated for dogs. Your friends may visit you but you may not visit them unless you leave your dog alone in your unit. On many sites, this is forbidden.
However, if you are spending money in the restaurant, your dog can accompany you and staff are friendly and accommodating. Bizarre.
We loved Camping Playa Tropicana for its fabulous sanitaires, the ample pitches and the well-stocked shop but we will not be returning while these divisive restrictions remain in place. Dog owners are responsible, they clean up after their pets and don’t allow them to bark at will. Why do they need to be segregated?

We went to plot with tent, quiet camping and next to the beach, toilets and showers many and clean was cleaned and never missing paper, the stick I can put in that aspect is that the people are very slutty and that the campsite is not to blame.
I didn't see cats and dirt everywhere like they say in other comments.
Every day they pick up your garbage on the same plot and the maintenance staff are all day cleaning streets and plots and picking leaves.
The animation is few but we don't have children and we don't care so much.
The super pretty complete and good prices.
The negative point is that there is no coverage and if you want to have you have to pay, very bad, since they do not have coverage WiFi should be free.
In the plot area there are some without shade, in summer is indispensable.
Silence is fairly respected from 24h.

Camping that has been getting worse and worse for 10 years now. The cleanliness of the bathrooms has decreased a lot, before they used to do one after shower shifts and not anymore so at night and first thing in the morning it is disgusting to enter. The noise at night is horrible. Young people and not so young people walking and running shouting and the security does not say anything to them, since you are on one of the main avenues it is impossible to sleep. Animation gets worse every year, inexperienced kids with few options. Prices continue to rise because it is on the beachfront, which has more and more stones and less beach area. They have a good supermarket with good prices but half of the time they run out of nothing. You have to look for another campsite because they don't do anything to improve. 10 years ago a 10, today a scratched 5.

Due to Covid the site was very quiet, possibly only 20 units, having said that the staff were very good and the cleaning was non stop. The supermarket was closed but the restaurant was open and the pools (also the food to die for and David the waiter). The only downside was the wifi access at €15 was the worst wifi we have ever had including sites where it was free if you go do not even try it.
The bar Chapies under 5 mins away was worth visiting.

Avoid, disappointed shame!! Top location close to the sea! Shaded campsite, with numerous water points, shower, small supermarket with affordable prices (little difference with the city center)
Parconstre bungalow to avoid (although certainly it was very hot this year and read carefully before booking) because not air-conditioned, only 1 fan fixed to the wall for bungalow 6 people...
Impossible to rent an additional fan, reception tells us to go buy one at the supermarket!
Swimming pool 1 large pool, 1 medium (accessible to disabled people because of a launching chair and access ramps) 1 paddling pool, 2 slides,
The rescuers only monitor the older ones but especially their phones and their friends!

+1
Campsite where we were my partner and young children very comfortable!
Spaces with many green areas, palm trees, water supplies and very funny decoration of dozens of white classical statues.
Everything perfect! In reception very friendly... also maintenance people. Good and complete facilities: swimming pools (with slides!), supermarket quite complete, restaurant and terrace to drink something in the evening... even hairdresser! Hygiene of common spaces (bathrooms, laundry, laundry...) perfect also.
Peeeero (the best!) the animation team with which my two children enjoyed a lot during our stay.... to the point of not wanting to go to the beach (a few meters, by the way of the campsite) because they preferred to stay to the activities! Very nice and loving in a sincere way. They involve you with their positive energy in games and dances that made the days more fun. Thank you very much L, R, D and N! We'll see you again!

I went to lunch with my family last August 3 and the waitress was very ill-mannered. Reservation and the first thing the waitress did was take note of the drink, my 82-year-old father asked if the food was going to take long because that’s not how you ordered the drink yet and she in very bad ways told him that she didn’t want to disrespect him (it would only be clear) but that the restaurant was full and he could not go in a hurry to eat. We didn’t get up and left because the campsite is just outside the village and there is nothing else to eat there but it was certainly for that and for more. My father was left with sweet potato paste when he heard that answer from the waitress. The restaurant was full but it's not the customer's problem, if it takes more staff to get him in but certainly to be ill-mannered and less to the elderly people who just asked him if he would delay the meal is not a right deal. For my part I will not go again and I recommend people who are reading this do not.

It was my father and I like other years has had a coffee, we sat on the inside of the terrace, we started the waitress I want to believe did not see us and attended a couple of tables before, I approach the bar to order (maybe you did not realize, no problem).
We are finishing the consumption with the whole interior terrace empty except a couple with their daughter next to them who had just ordered, well the waitress comes practically kicking us out that needed the table, I look around empty tables, my father goes 73 years to the service and the waitress comes taking everything off the table and tells the waitress out loud as soon as her companion comes out of the bathroom they leave the table, I ask the other companion if she needs it for now and she answers no, my father came out and we left they looked at us the ones from the next table as if we were criminals or not clear they ordered mussels and we some coffees with ice.
I've never been kicked out like this.
I understand that if it is reserved for meals etc... but all empty in the interior area.
Unfortunate treatment of the waitress

The only positive point... The exterior of the campsite is clean.... Very dilapidated mobile home - not clean when we arrived. Defective gas and electricity, Forced to plug in the coffee maker in the room because the kitchen socket is out of order - Very limited space to park your car... In a word: GO YOUR WAY

I have been going to playa Tropicana in February and March for many years. It has always been a fantastic campsite, I would say definitely one of the best.
What a shame that this year standards have deteriorated somewhat despite extremely high prices.
As we love Tropicana so much we agreed to pay 32euros per night somewhat reluctantly. Unfortunately we consider it to be poor value. The swimming pool was opened for the Easter period but emptied and closed again after Easter . The small indoor pool is open but too small for a proper swim.
Over Easter there were groups of children banging on vans in the middle of the night. 2 of the vans in our group were dented as a result of this. It took several complaints before security dealt with this situation.
Generally the standards have slipped, the sight of a dozen or so cockroaches in the washing up area and also the showers is somewhat off putting.
Sorry Tropi but we will find a different campsite next year. So sorry. We have had many happy stays at Tropicana but very disappointed this year. We will have to find another venue for our group in the future.-
