We have stayed at this campsites several times now and after a break of 2 years felt a review was due. The campsite as others have said is kept immaculately clean and tidy, toilet blocks etc are all excellent. The road to the campsite again as others have said is 2km of unmade rough stony dusty ground that doesn't get any better as time passes. Monday to Friday lunchtime it is quiet and utterly peaceful mainly occupied by French, Dutch, Swiss, German and English campers (this is out of high season).

However ( and you knew one was coming)! Friday lunchtime onwards many Spanish Families arrive with many children. The noise level goes up and peaceful campsite is turned into Spanish Mayhem. This in itself is not a problem and we have no problem with children or the Spanish. However, there are few campsite rules and the noise can go on until 1 or 2 in the morning with children playing and parents oblivious to any respect for others. This goes on until Sunday early evening when once again the campsite returns to peace and civility. Also I would advise anyone thinking of going to Ribamar not to arrive on Friday , Saturday or Sunday as getting into the campsite can be very tight. This is also a problem further down the road where locals visiting the beach at the end of the track can virtually block access for any larger vehicles. This also applies to the immediate campsite road on a Sunday in particular when day visitors arrive and block the entrance to the campsite.
So here is the dilemma, a great campsite 4 days of the week but not good at weekends. The campsite really needs to get a grip and impose some control at week ends.

I would give it a 3.5/5, but there is no option. The campsite is not bad, it is familiar, small and cozy. It is clean and the staff is friendly.

However, several aspects must be taken into account: it is part of a natural park, which is one of its attractions, but at the same time this can cause problems. Due to the risk of fire, access to the natural park and its coves was closed. They were understandable preventive measures by the Generalitat Valenciana, but being a situation that has occurred on several occasions, I think it would be advisable to point out on its website that mobility may be limited. If it happens for one or two days there is no problem, but in our case the restrictions affected for 5 days and truncated our plans. The multisport track does not exist. According to what they told us, some vandals had broken the baskets weeks ago and there was no prospect of replacing them at the moment. Additionally, if you want to use the court to play tennis you must pay for the installation of the net. More than multisport, the track is soccer. Nor is there too much insistence on users about respecting quiet times, but that is more a matter of camper education than of camping, although a little more control would be appreciated. In general the campsite is not bad and I would return, but I think there are things to improve. That does not mean that the coves are beautiful, there is a lot of shade and the plots offer a lot of privacy. The restaurant is highly recommended and the cleanliness of our bathrooms is a 10.

We stayed here for three nights on the way south. The access road is very bumpy but only used on the way in and out. The pitches are level and generous. The site and facilities are well maintained. The 50 minute walk along the coastal path to Alcossebre is bumpy but very pleasant.
We would happily stay here again.

Campsite would rate at 4 stars but the restaurant drags the rating down to below 1 star. With only 2 tables occupied after 35 minutes the waiter had still not been back to take our order. We had been served a glass of wine, half a glass for my wife but I only got a third of a glass. Either take your own food or go hungry the restaurant is definitely NOT recommended.

If you travel with creatures, I do not recommend staying at the campsite. That the little ones behave as such is not well accepted by the campsite management and I can guarantee that the rest hours have been absolutely respected. The treatment of the staff can be greatly improved. I will not return, and I will not recommend anyone to stay there. Our experience has bordered on infantophobia

The site is very nice, the facilities are all fine, the location is good and the reception staff great. However, none of that matters if you canā€™t sleep and enjoy your holiday. The noise levels were greater than anything Iā€™ve experienced before, the shouting and screaming (adults and children) is relentless and goes on until late night/early morning. Such a shame as it could be such a lovely place to stay. If you want a relaxing holiday then I suggest you avoid.

One of the nicest campsites Iā€™ve been to. Couple in a 7m Motorhome .
Very clean site with pretty gardens with clean , good facilities , bar and pool . Good sized pitches with hedges for some privacy . A short walk to a beach and sea view and a longer walk into the town

The campsite is small and quiet and the coves very nice. Cleanliness in general well the only thing the pool a little dirty. The worst thing about our visit has been the entertainment for the children, they have a very small playroom and only do one activity x the morning and another x the afternoon, and if the craft itself lasts 10 min they can no longer return or repeat or stay there. My daughter came crying xq they would not let her stay to paint, the treatment of the cheerleader, Yasmina, leaves much to be desired.

A beautiful campsite, super clean, is tiny but you don't need more!!!
We loved it!!! Ideal to come with dogs, they are phenomenal.
Great, you're just like who says, yes, wear sneakers or style since it's stone.
If all goes well we'll be back next year.

July/Aug 2017 - This was our 4th time at staying at this site. We had booked for 11 nights but arrived 4 nights early as our previous site wasn't very nice. Lovely lady at reception managed to fit us in with no problems. Large pitch with plenty of room for caravan, awning, seating area and the car. The shower/toilet block had had a make over from last year, very nice, always clean. 5 minute walk from the site down to the beach/sea which our dog enjoyed swimming in the sea everyday. The site as a dog shower which is very helpful. Top marks for the lovely manager who got up a hour earlier to let us out early on our day of departure as we had a 10 hour drive. Will be going back again next year.

Hi Is any one able to let me know if our dog is allowed on the beach/how pet friendly is the site? Sandra

Dogs have to be kept on a lead but it is a very pet friendly site, they even have a 'doggy bath'. There are a number of walks from the camp through woods and along the coastal path.

"If going for a bungalow, ask for one set further back from the office for more privacy. We were very happy in C7. Higher numbers are further back. If camping avoid the pitch next to the rear beach gate. We think they treat their sewage there, it certainly smelled like it when it was really hot."
