Detailed Reviews
We picked this resort almost by default as we had first booked cheap flights to Valencia, only to discover that there were no resorts nearby. Benidorm to the south was Def. not to our taste, so we looked north instead.
We were amazed at how good value Alcoceber was. We went there on the May-June cusp, and the resort was still quiet, most of the occupants were the all year Spanish speaking elderly brigade. The streets are scrupulously clean, no drugs, crime and regularly patrolled by the police. The resort is more geared for the local tourists with only a few foreigners. The local deskfront workers only spoke smatters of English, which was just the way we wanted. The food and drink was tasty and very reasonably priced. A bottle of wine with a meal was €4.50 and a shared tapas meal with 2-3 beers worked out at a tenner a head. We were told that the place really kicks into action at the end of the month when the resort is hopping.
The Eurohostal could be considered as the higher standard of basic. It is well sited with a good sea frontage beside the harbour and the north beach, and has considerable parking facilities. The common facilities were a problem. They were all over the place with the link being a long meandering stepped corridor, having a threateningly low ceiling, progressing from inside, to outside, back to inside and down and up floors. The poolside bar and beachside restaurant were remote from one another. Our place did an all-you can-eat restaurant buffet at €11.50 a head, although we opted not to go there as there were so many places to eat. There was a basement nightclub which was due to open later in the month. Reception was large dark and dour, but clean. The poolside area was large, pleasant, grassy and clean; but there was an acoustic issue as all conversation was amplified by the form of the buildings. This wasn’t a problem for us as there were few guests during our stay. The entire complex had been given a coat of paint so the place looked fresh.
The studio apartments shared between 2 people only cost €12.50 PPPN. The apartments were neat and clean, although the furniture was sturdy but outdated. There was cooking facilities and a fridge, and air conditioning as an optional extra if the weather got too hot. The bathrooms were spacious and recently decorated with powerful showers large enough for two.
Overall we were delighted with our choice and would highly recommend it for those who would prefer a quieter holiday with good food, great value, and enjoy better contact with local Spanish hospitality.

The only advantage is the location and the balcony overlooking the beautiful marina. Service was extremely poor; it took a long time for the staff to get us checked in. Room was clean and spacious but has long lost its glorious days. We felt like we were time warped in the 70's. There was a small flat screen tv, air-conditioning unit, dining table and sofa equipped with fridge, microwave oven and cutlery. Overall, it was ok as it was the cheapest option we found in Alcossebre during the period of our stay. Do take note of the check out time as they are very strict and will impose a fee even if you are a few minutes late.

Good clean hotel situated near the marina with parking on site. Nice rooms with differing views some including the pool area. The pool was nice with a poolside bar and lots of sunbeds. Would use again. There are a number of bars nearby and only a short walk to the beach. Nice views of the sunset. Check in was a little slow due to the receptionist was on the phone.

THE WELCOME
We came by car from Germany, so we travelled a very long distance. After 17hours we finally arrived at Eurhostal at midnight y estuvimos hecho a polvo. The guarantee Eurhostal offers, especially the service from the receptionist, is worse than underground.
So, at midnight when we arrived we were standing fluctuating at the reception, almost crashing on the floor because we were so tired. But well, the receptionist first served a spanish lady without ever noticing us. No big deal. After 15 long minutes she came over to us and eventually taking our reservation and the check-in stuff. But we couldn't believe our eyes when she put our papers away in front of us and instead serving the spanish girl after us in the row. I really thought I was freaking out, we just wanted our room and a bed. Even when her colleague pointed out to her that we were already waiting she just said "Ah, no pasa nada!". Great, thank you so much.
After some 15 more minutes she gave us our roomkey, of course we had to search for our room by ourselves.
OUR ROOM
But nothing is comparable to the shock we had when seeing in what a noisy and fussy environment our room was located. It was downstairs right next to the children's hall where they were still playing games and shouting and screaming full-throated. Allright. Next shock: we had reserved a room for 4 persons, but there were only two beds and one quaffable couch. Huh, okay, three persons might maybe sleep in this room, BUT WAS IS WITH THE FOURTH ONE?? HAHA, sleeping on the floor??? It was like a big joke. Not enough: when we opened the window to the pacio we found ourselves in the middle of the show of a solo entertainer - loud music, people sitting on chairs right next to our terrace...what the hell?? How are we going to sleep here with the children shouting next to our room and the music outside??!! After that we were really f## up. We went out to the receptionist who couldn't do anything just tilting her head back. Good luck we booked another hotel then at the same night, Alcossebre Suites Hotel, which was much more comfortable and much less noisy and - surprise! - cheaper.
NOTE
If you want an air-conditioner you have to pay some extra 10€. There is no seperate room for the beds, they are seperated from the TV room and kitchenette by a curtain. (not always advisable, maybe some want to sleep and others want to watch TV at the same time).
All in all, it would have been much more agreeable if the receptionist - a girl in her twens with short curly brown hair and brown eyes, unfortunately don't know her name - was a bit more organized and not so freaking unfriendly. I'd fire her.

My family stayed for 5 nights in the beginning of June 2012. The best thing about this hotel is that it is right on the beach. The rooms have not been updated since the early 70´s but at least ours was somewhat comfortable, except for the refrigerator which is placed right in front of the beds and makes an awful noise, so bring ear plugs. If you will be preparing meals in the apartments there is no oven. If you want views of the ocean you must pay an extra 8 euros per night. We booked our apartments with "Full Board" but I was very angry to find out that you must pay for drinks apart and after every meal. The buffet is above average but they tend to repeat a lot of things and many foods are fried. They really should change their coffee because it is the absolute worst I have ever had in my life. Very important if you have very young children make sure you take one of the lower floors. The balconies have a flower box that has a space where very young children could accidentally fall! So my wife and I had to always be watching our child on the balcony and it made us very nervous. I would recommend this hotel but really only for a few nights stay at the most. The beach in front of the hotel Playa de Las Fuentes is very small and has stagnant water on it which comes from underground springs. This makes the sand always damp so it never really drys out. It is really more like a beach you would find beside a bay. There is another beach 500 meters after the marina called Playa el Cargador which is far superior. Enjoy ;)

Where do I start!!
Arriving- We arrive at the hotel at 12am and the receptionist we’re on their way out and looked very confused when we walked in , they tried to find our booking but couldn’t we then showed them and they said you have to go to other hotel baring in mind we had just paid €200 for a taxi from airport to hotel (adress shown in booking) they said it was 45 min walk to other hotel just to collect the keys - their was no information on this on the booking at all they said it was their fault but it wasn’t ours either! They said it happens once a month , we asked if we could just get a room for that night and it’s was a no - so the man on reception called the emergency number for the hotel and no answer- he took us to the other hotel and there was a note on the door with my name with a map and nothing else , the receptionist then rang the emergency number again and the phone rang inside but all doors were locked as they closed at 10.
Whe then went back and they said they couldn’t do anything at this point is was around 1:30am we then gave up and paid €80 for the room for the night and got the keys in the morning.
Getting the room-
Filthy! I wasn’t expecting 5* cleanliness or memory foam a mattress , but what I was expecting was a clean bed without hairs and dust! We were given 2 single beds and a small sofa bed for 4 people , 3 pillows between 4, two sheets between 4! Shower was full of dirt and didn’t drain so we’d have to mop as we showered with the 5 minute of hot water we got. Floors full of sand , we rang the hotel (key collection place) and they said it would be €55 a day for it to be cleaned even though this is all “included” when booking. No towels €10 a day, no toilet roll €5 a roll, no tea making facilities, 3 coat hangers , no air con , no WiFi, anything that was listed as included wasn’t! It was all an extra charge.
Dark haired women on reception absolutely poor customer service! when asking a question she would be sat in the back on phone and would slam her stuff down say something in Spanish and then storm out and made us feel like a inconvenience.
Lots of Spanish in the hotel (expected)but only one staff member could speak some English , they only seemed to cater for the Spanish eg when sat at tables giving them table service but telling us to go up to bar.
Area is very quiet no entertainment or many bars otherwise we would have just stayed out of the hotel all day.
Reception said this happens every month! So yes they will reply to this and most likely say it’s a different company renting their apartments but DO NOT LIST IT AS IT IS AND THEN GIVE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SERVICE. when booking people aren’t mind readers and after surprising my family with a week away this is what we got! Not even good for a night!
I haven’t received a refund or apology yet so I will be posting this review on every platform I have so that nobody wastes their earned money or time at this horrible place again!
Wish I took more photos! But this one is the shower which was broke -shock.

A very affordable place in a very nice location. Facilities is a bit old but price compensate for it. The only big disappointment is the lack of responsibility from the management to control a bit the noise that is being produce by people partying at the basement disco bar.

Thank you Irvin for sending in your evaluation. Unfortunately, the disco bar is not part of the property being managed by our company. Therefore we can not directly control possible incidents at the disco bar, on the contrary we are keen to see that as less noise as possible disturbs our guest, and are permanent contact with the management of the disco bar. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused during your stay. Kind regards

Booked a private room in this place for my sons wedding, we arrived quite late due to delays they had no knowledge of our booking ( which seemed a bit strange ) they aventualy gave us a room which was disgusting to say the least ( bed felt damp )
Next morning we were informed that we had to go to another hotel for our keys ( 4 miles away ) had to ring my son to take us to collect them, well from getting our keys the staff at the Eurhostal were so unhelpful, the room was beautiful but had no towels we asked could we hire some.... their reply “ IMPOSSIBLE“ a maid took pity on us and gave us some. On the day of my sons wedding my iron wouldn’t work so down to reception I went to ask could I hire an iron but has soon as she asked for our room number “ IMPOSSIBLE “ never in all our years of going abroad have we EVER come across people so rude and unhelpful. NEVER AGAIN.

Dear Karen, our company Complejo Eurhsotal, runs some of the 200 apartments located in the building Eurhostal. Your reservation was done with one of the private owned apartments and with another company that a) have nothing to do with us nor b) have a reception desk in the building. Their reception desk is located in a hotel called Alcossebre Suites, 4 miles away as you mentioned in your comment. The agency is called Apartamentos 3000. Therefore, we could not have either your reservation details nor the keys to that apartment. We are not responsible for the apartment, nor lingerie, towels or any amenities. The maid that offered you the towels does work for our company and takes care of our clients. We are very sorry that your experienced such a lack of service with the agency of your reservation, we urge you to put the claim on the agency responsible of your booking. Best regards,

We spent a couple of weeks and cannot recommend this place enough. Excellent value, and just a stone's throw away from the beach although there is also a big pool which was well guarded by a young man who was very helpful with the kids. An overall amazing experience the staff is very helpful especially the receptionist who was very patient with us and answered all our questions from where to eat in that gorgeous little village to how to treat insect bites. We'll definitely go back again next year.

Atentamente,
