Room was nice and clean. Bed mattress was of good quality. The nice lady at the reception upgraded our room for free. Amazing service from all employees, especially the ladies at the reception. We thank you for this. Location - about 5 minutes taxi drive to old town. Hotel restaurant - nice foods and local wine.

The staff was very kind and the pool had high-pressure jets (even if they were rarely on). But, please, increase the pressure of the water in the shower and clean it so the water doesn’t cumulate like in a pool, and set up a place for the bars of soap.

We thought that the hotel was lovely and the staff were helpful, kind, fun and appreciative. The room was spacious enough (we upgraded to a superior room) with comfortable beds, nice decor and furniture, great shower, LG televisions and complete wifi coverage throughout the hotel. The views were good from our room in the back of the hotel (308) and really nice from the front of the hotel. Breakfast was a good variety of food; cereals, deli meats (continental) cooked food, and fresh fruit. Gloves had to be worn whilst collecting food, although some guests didn't bother, regardless of the signage and also being told. Masks are to be worn throughout the hotel, but again some guests did as they liked. Everything was clean and tidy. The pool area was clean and the pool was great for cooling off in, with a jacuzzi section at the side. The hotel wasn't very busy when we were there so there was always adequate furniture around the pool, which was all in good condition. If you hire a car, there was plenty of space to park at the front of the hotel. There were a few restaurants, a couple of bars and a kiosk for water, etc, 5 minutes walk away, but the restaurant at the hotel, Le Chef, did really good food at lunch and dinner. In the evening you could eat by the lit pool. A taxi into Corfu Town was only €10. The only issue we had was that the air conditioning failed on the top floor on our 2nd day. The part required didn't arrive before we left so we didn't have air con again. We were able to use a pedestal fan to help us sleep but the reception staff offered us the use of another room. We wanted to stay in our upgraded room rather than downgrading, so they let us move to one of the suites on the front of the building that was cooler at night, free of charge and also offered us dinner for no cost. This room was a lot bigger, more comfortable and had a PlayStation 3 and a DVD player in it. What made our stay at the Corfu Mare great was the staff; the reception staff were always helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The maintenance guy/night watchman was helpful and friendly and the 3 bar staff/waiting on staff were fantastic; so friendly and fun, we had a laugh with them every day, they really are a great trio. We were sad to leave them. We only didn't give the hotel 5 out of 5 because of the air con issue, but the hotel really did go above and beyond to make up for, what was, something out of their control. Also, some little bits in the room could have done with titivating.

It’s very rare you come across a hotel where every single one of the staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful as at Corfu Mare. From check-in (by Eda) until check out we were greeted and assisted (mainly by Eda and Olga) with tips and reservations (car, boats,...). This is what makes a stay a really good and nice stay. Then It doesn’t matter if something goes wrong. Because we felt as we were very welcome and appreciated. Note to the management: your staff (reception, breakfast, bar, restaurant, housekeeping,...) are an example to many other hotels all over the world of how a guest must be treated. They made our stay in Corfu one of the best experiences we had since a very long time!!! (even before Covid-19) A big thank you! ;-) Fries

Spent three nights here prior to sailing to Paxos. A fabulous family run hotel. Excellent location 5 minutes taxi to port and 5 minutes taxi to old town (no buses). Spotlessly clean and lovely room with balcony with sea view of yacht basin. Lovely pool and hotel interior. Very good breakfast and evening meal. Staff happy to cater for all your needs. Will definately be back!!
