We arrived and received a great welcome and a tour of the hotel which was useful. Staff members are lovely, they remember who you are and it’s little touches like that make the difference.

The nearest beach ( at the old port) is 4 minutes walking . You should be aware of many kinds of famous beaches (outside the city/town); Those who famous and recommended ( for example - Super paradise or Paradise beach or Elia beach - and there are many more ) are very far away from the town ( city) and you need a car/taxi to get there ( 20 minutes driving ) . The question whether to stay outside the city ( at those beaches) or in the city is very subjective.
