I first visited JT about 30 yrs ago when at that time staying at JT was an aspiration but we did manage to splash out for dinner to check it out as it was probably one of the best hotels in Playa and I did promise myself that I would stay there one day...... I had an enjoyable (short) 5 days in a Club Junior Suite on an "Unlimited" board basis. I booked a sea view but upon arrival I was allocated a side sea view so the next day Gloria in the Club moved me to a full sea view room The "Unlimited" board was just what I wanted (normally I like to try out local restaurants) and enjoyed the variety of eateries which all served presentable dishes. Nothing stood out, but it was par for the course for a 4* hotel. Sadly no buffet due to COVID. Breakfast was enjoyable on the outdoor Club Terrace with waiter service. Most of my time was spent on the exclusive Club area and sleeping on the Bali beds which were very comfy -just what I needed. Needless to say it was helped by having access to the Sunset Bar next door and the excellent bar staff Sara & Mireila who gets the award for mixing the best Mojito! I would also like to thank Gloria and Helene who helped with my mobile phone issues on the Covid apps which did not want to upload so we ended up the going the "old fashioned" route of getting print outs -I felt I spent more time with them than any guest so apologies but we got a solution in the end and I was able to travel back home. All in all a decent 4* experience.

Hotel's Favourite
What a wonderful hotel, feels like a 5 star. Very modern throughout, it was very quiet due to the Covid but we preferred this. Loads of sun lounges available and no que at breakfast time. Breakfast had plenty of choices, the staff was all lovely and friendly . The drinks aren’t cheap but we expected this with the standard of the hotel, cocktails are lovely! There was 2 restaurants open and 1 bar whilst we was there. It was a shame the main evening bar wasn’t open as that looked lovely with the piano, no entertainment obviously but this doesnt bother us we venture out at night. We booked a suite and would defeinrly recommend them, large comfy bed. Huge bathroom with shower and large bath. Classy, peaceful hotel and I would love to stay again.

We have a lovely stay here in this hotel. The doubleroom with seaview is worth it and also the club is very Nice and good. The food in the different restaurants is so nice and good, love las rocas and the pizza burratta is the best there is! Everyone is working very hard and is so nice. There is only one young men working in the club who doesn’t seem so happy or nice but maybe he has a difficult time in his life on this moment but that is not a good service for the hotel. But we are so happy to be here!

It’s expensive (for me) but I wanted to splurge for a few days and it was a good choice. Short drive from airport. It’s very large and I love these kinds of hotels - this is multilevel and you can get lost. It’s not a chain identikit hotel but has curve walls and features that are appealing. Very clean throughout. Service excellent. I don’t know if a 5* or 4* but good experience. Breakfast was good, coffe or tea brought to your table then go and get the food, wide variety. Club breakfast was upstairs and outside on the terrace but normal breakfast inside. I never book all inclusive and try not to eat the breakfast either else too much food! very cheap English breakfasts are to be found within 300m either side of the hotel on the seafront, along with 1.50 euro “pints” so it doesn’t really matter. For me, the coffee is important and it was good - a whole pot, five cups, each. Room facing the road… pretty quiet and decent curtains but a few small holes. Balcony and large size room. nice pool. Not too busy but then I think the hotel is half full currently. The salt water pool by the sea is also nice, colder, but was not sure if free to use… presumably but they charge for loungers, even hotel guests (20% off). Well located, takes an entire block it seems, beaches 10mins walk to the north and south. Books available to borrow in at least two bookcases downstairs. Several restaurants, pricey I suspect, but I follow Bill Bryson’s rule never to eat in your own hotel’s restaurant, if you can possibly help it. ultra cheap to medium options nearby, including Spanish, Italian, Indian places (Hindustan recommended as good quality and value, 8 min walk). It was quite like the Marbella Corfu, if you know that, and I appreciated it. Would visit again but only if I could get under £90/night for a single traveller.
