It is a great place if you are just passing through or if you just want a place to sleep at night. It can also be your base if you want to explore the surrounding areas (Battlefields, Drakensberg, Midlands, Clarens). This place is clean, safe and comfortable. The food is good.

The property claims to be 3 stars but is not star graded and falls short of the 3 star standards. The TV was not working. The water pump is noisy at night. No staff on the property to assist with queries.

Receptionist was very accommodating seeing that I had the dates one week in advance. Rooms were fine - the electric blankets were very welcome. Our daughter reported noisy neighbors, but that didn't last. Location was perfect - right next door to our destination. Good value!

My visit was spoilt by their very rude house keeping personnel. This below average behaviour was brought to the attention of the supervisor on duty. Very disrespectful and insensitive as she was banging the door and screaming at me from the time I was still asleep to the time i was taking a bath that she wanted to clean the house, this was before check out time. Dropped off all her cleaning equipment right by my door, i had to squeeze myself on my way out.

Everything was in order and the room well prepared. Friendly welcome by the owner. Very quite and the garden is beautiful. Very good breakfast menu and tasty. Will visit you again in further. Shortens the trip from Durban to the Free State. Very affordable accommodation.

Went fly fishing in the Berg with my son, what an awesome stay, very safe and friendly. The owners were able to find the room that suited us. Breakfast was perfect, offering cereal, fruit and English style options. I recommend to anyone, local or foreign will feel at home here

We stayed over at the B&B for a wedding. The room was clean and the staff friendly. We booked in at 12h00 as our wedding started at 14h00, they had no issue with accommodating us earlier. There is safe parking on the premises. We had the Breakfast as well - it was well prepared and yummy! The only negative - the room was hot with no AC, there is a fan... however an AC in a Heatwave would have been appreciated. Also no milk in the fridge, only Cremora... other than that our stay was very pleasant.

This was definitely a great place to stay and we'd definitely stay here again if we ever needed to go to Winterton again. It was so welcoming and scenic The staff were helpful and attentive. My daughter loved playing in the Garden and has told us she'd love to go back again soon.

Was part of a group cycling down to Durban. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much of a hassle for our hosts. They even allowed us to use the kitchen to prepare food for the following days ride. Great stop over in the Drakensburg area.
