I have stayed in both the hotel rooms, as well as the Chalets. I had amazing experience in both! Whether it was a business conference, to which I have been to a few times or a relaxing holiday with family and friends, this resort never disappoints.

Great views. Well maintained. Very noisy staff. Can't rest during the day. All shouting , every day. Last time in the chalets was great. Rooms (2xx) like in a bussy street in Joburg. Traffic , staff all day long... Food great. Outside of feeding times only drinks no snaks (meze) at all ?!

We stayed as a family of 6, with kids. Been coming to CSR for about 6 years now, and I'm very satisfied to see their standards haven't dropped even despite Covid, and lockdowns etc. Previously stayed at 4 other places in the Berg, but this is now our home away from home. Management is excellent and staff always warm and friendly. Well maintained property, top rated golf course on site. Excellent food, spa, and loads of activities for the kids. Hard to beat. Thanks for the awesome stay once more.

We were 2 families with toddler boys that stayed at the resort. The service was average, spoke to the manager as there was no hot porridge in the mornings and the next morning just 1 porridge and one of the boys didn't eat that. Service was slow, no communication, no water in rooms, meals were minimal and few veg options, the play area was good and Nozipho and Natalie were amazing. Was promised alot but no delivery.. We were given a discount of 1 free night but doesn't excuse the terrible service, communication, no towels, water in room, no room service. Definitely will not be booking here again and definitely not a resort that can accommodate small kids. Despite my complaints nothing was done....will not be back...

Hello. Im very disappointed to have to write this review however this morning I had the most uncomfortable and belittling telephone conversation with the lady at the reservations desk at Champagne Sports Resort. Due to the recent unrests in South Africa I was simply trying to ask the lady should something like that happen during my stay there what plans, if any had been put in place to ensure the safety of the patrons of the resort? It was a simple question, I do understand that previously the unrest did not happen in the Drakensburg which was by the way so rudely conveyed to me, but this is not to say that it cannot happen in the future. I was meant to be travelling with 2 elderly parents who have already been so traumatised by the previous unrest, therefore I just wanted to have a chat to find out what exist routes there where and what structures where in place to help guests should something occur etc but the lady at reservations was so unfriendly and insensitive not to mention rude. When you are apart of the customer service team one would expect you to be understanding and accommodating, I am left to only believe that Champagne sports resort does not need my business not even in these very difficult economic times. I run a training company and often look for training venues but after this I will never use Champagne Sports Resort in a private or business capacity ever again.

My wife and I booked a 5 night Holiday at the hotel. The resort, staff and amenities where good and helpful. The room was adequate enough and requires some updates. The furniture in the room is dated and requires repairs. The cupboard doors are noisy and the room is not very well sound insulated as one can hear the neighbors. Especially if they are noisy. The underfloor heating is only source of heat and it is only around the bed. There are blankets provided. Our room was a distance from the main reception, so ask for a room closer if you not keen on walking a distance during cold mornings and evenings. Overall the stay was good and I would recommend it. Covid 19 rules and regulations where adhered to. The spa is good at the resort. The food is good and one can go a bit overboard due to the variety.

We booked at Champagne Sports Resort for a week getaway including Valentine's. I was pleasantly surprised. This resort is suitable for both sports enthusiasts (Golf Course) and those who just need the comfort and the beauty. It is central to most site seeing areas in the Drakensberg. We used it as a our base to go hiking and to see the area. Covid protocols were well observed. it was rather said that the hotel was empty while the chalets were fully booked due to covid. I truly enjoyed this place.

I visited the Spa and had a back and neck Hot Rock massage. The Spa staff were meticulous re the COVID-19 precautions. I was lucky to have Thandeka as my masseur. She was professional and sensitive and it was a wonderful experience. Get your golfing friend/spouse to stand you to a spa experience.
