Detailed Reviews
Magnificent place! Breath taking views! Hidden gem! My husband and I visited Wild Horses lodge for our anniversary! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive! The food was fantastic! From the starters to the desserts the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding! Then we went sailing. Skippered by Jon we sailed on the Golden City yacht on Sterkfontein dam. It was beautiful! The boat was in pristine condition and Jon an excellent host, making this such a special experience for us! That evening we were spoiled to have a candlelight dinner in the wine cellar! This was special! Thank you to all for a memorable weekend! We can’t wait to be back! Hopefully for some kitesurfing!!! 😉

the place is beautiful. Wild views, friendly staff, a trip from Jozi is about 3 hours a break from the long trip to Durban. Close to Lesotho. The dam is just a walk to the lodge.. you have plenty time to fish, Rooms are absolutely Hawkins.

The best treatment I ever had. The rooms were clean. The food was out of this world. Thank you Marelize
Nothing was an effort for the Hosts. The attention to detail was perfect.
The mooring of my boat was save and well maintained. The dirt road to the lodge was a breeze. I will be back, I have to go back!!
Thank You Trish, Jon, Scott and Kayla!
Special people all of you!!
Best Regards

+1
While it's a bit out of the way (down 15 km of "improved" gravel road) the Wild Horses Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. Only a few guest rooms, whichakes the experience very peaceful, private and comfortable. Near Golden Gate National Park and the village of Clarens (nice trendy shops, restaurants and art galleries). Hiking, horseback riding and other activities are available. But, the real treat is the food. Prepared fresh on-site by an incredible chef. We highly recommend staying here, if in the area.

A fantastic location. What a amazing view. A warm welcome. Relax in luxury & comfort
We were so surprised of this beautiful place and the wonderful staff. The chef, Vuyo Dicki, is a very lovely women who really cares what you think about the food and she likes to surprise you. Special thanks to her. Also thanks to the owners and for the great attention of the service staff, Xousa and Elizabeth. If you like to have a break, to rest and enjoy in the peace and beauty of nature, then this is an absolute must.
Thanks again
With kind regards
