My family traveled (4 total) to Jamaica for the first time and we were absolutely BLOWN away by our experience at Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Rose Hall resort. Aside from the incredible location, views, and weather - the staff is by far what makes this resort so special. From check in, to grabbing towels each morning from Xavio, to the personable and friendly table/bar/beach service we received from Jahmarley, Stacy Ann, Dwayne, Almando, Shannondo and Travis, to the guest-focused entertainment staff of Adrian, Shanae, and Cadine. Their dedication to creating such a positive atmosphere and welcoming experience for guests will not be forgotten! The variety of events and entertainment on resort property will satisfy all. Dining options were plenty, even with some not being offered as a result of COVID, each meal/snack was just as delicious as the last. Could not recommend this resort more!

I traveled for a getaway with my 67yr old mom. We loved the resort. the customer service and staff are phenomenal. Elvis the bartender on the beach treated my Mom well. Roam, at the Jamaican eats made sure we had oxtails. The staff here is best in class. The Covid-19 testing process to return was quick and easy. I enjoyed the entertainment of the Michael Jackson show on Sunday and both bands on Monday and Wednesday nights. I really enjoyed the jazz artist Tuesday at dinner by Urban Heatz. I have 2 recommendations for this resort. #1. Serve your delicious food hot. I found that the food is lukewarm in majority of the restaurants. there was no steam coming off the rice and beans no matter what restaurant. Even at the Coice Buffett, the food is warm and luke warm bout time you to sit to enjoy it. 2# Each restroom should have at least 1 handicap stall. ESPECIALLY by the restaurants. There was a handicap stall by the pools none by the restaurants.

Had a hard time picking a resort due to covid restrictions everywhere but we settled for Jamaica since many of my co-workers visited it and loved it. We were also way over due on releasing our stress levels so we couldn’t have waited much longer. Right off the bat we did research and used Club Mobay and private transportation to get to the resort it was actually not expensive and very pleasant drivers from Top choice Jamaica Tours we loved them. Using the Club mobay for our departures was a heaven sent especially since our flight leaving Jamaica was delayed. The resort staff were friendly and courteous it was also no very busy . The food was good but the Brazilian restaurant was not open and we really thought it would be so make sure to check with them about the foods you want to try . Entertainment at the pool everyday was good but I feel like the drinks were a little watered down . We are heavy drinkers . The resort is very clean and rooms perfect we walked the grounds a little and chatted to the staff to get some insight on life . We learned more doing our excursions though with TCJ tours we did a tour around Montego Bay for a few hours and I would say it was a very well done trip . The gym facilities were good my husband enjoyed the training staff wisdom . The best part was getting the chance to leave home and come to Jamaica to spend it with my hubby , we made love every night which is something we haven’t done in years due to work , kids and stressful lives . I highly recommend this place with a few fixes it would be a perfect

We were invited to a wedding at Sandals Ochi in June 2021. We're used to staying at 5-star luxury resorts, so we weren't thrilled about Sandals but wanted to extend the trip past the wedding weekend. We have also been Bonvoy loyalists until about a year ago when we made the leap to Hyatt... We started researching and ultimately decided to cash in 75K points to stay 3 nights at the Hyatt Zilara, and we are SO GLAD we did! What an amazing value! After the terrible stay at Sandals, I was ready to just go home. But the moment we got to the Hyatt, our entire trip turned around. We were offered an upgrade (for about $60/night) but the room wasn't quite ready yet so we walked down to JamaicanRootz for lunch. Starting our stay with the best Jamaican fried chicken was such a phenomenal decision that we decided to end it that way too, and went back on our last day. The room was clean and well sanitized. The bed was very comfortable, and we heard other people around the hotel agree! The pillows weren't great, but we slept well anyway. The AC works well, and the room gets nice and cool! There is a hairdryer in the room, but it does not have a diffuser (ladies, you may want to pack your own.) We were impressed with the app and the ability to order room service, amenities, make dinner reservations, view menus and activities all on our cell phones. Not sure if that was a Covid addition, or something Hyatt has always done, but it's very convenient. The beach in Montego bay is nicer than Ocho Rios. Softer sand and clearer water. Also, we found that we didn't get much of a breeze in Ocho, so it was sooo hot. Humid. The beach here was very nice, and the weather was perfect with a nice sea breeze. There are three main beach areas at this resort, all with a nice amount of beach chairs, both sunny and shady spots, and nice water to wade into. Water sports are available as well, though we didn't partake. We stayed in Zilara, but found that Ziva was actually the more relaxed side of the resort, even though it's kid-friendly. I think we saw a total of 15 kids on property while we were there... not many at all. Most of the adults at the Zilara pool were there to party while the Ziva pool was much more laid back. It's also bigger and more spread out, so we thought that was nice--you felt like you had more space on that side. We did find ourselves walking over to Ziva quite a bit to eat... the food in all of the restaurants was top notch! We did not get a chance to eat at the Italian restaurant, but the French, Asian and Jamaican dinners were all incredible. Buffet for breakfast was great, and we did jerk shack for lunch. Most of the restaurants offer indoor and outdoor dining. Indoor options are air conditioned very well. Service was 5-star. Every single person was cheerful, helpful and energetic. If we asked for something brought up to our room, it arrived within 5 minutes. If we ordered something from a lounge chair at the pool or beach, it arrived in 5-10 minutes. Everything was "no problem" and we were constantly greeted with a smile. The fitness center must be the best gym in Jamaica! Everything you could ever need or want--My husband was a kid in a candy store the first day he walked in there. Everything from functional training and crossfit to basic machines and free weights to cardio and even a barre! It was impressive. Masks are still worn in public spaces, except for outdoors. The staff does a great job of sanitizing and taking measures to keep the resort Covid-free. Sounds like these measures will remain in effect for the next several months as Jamaica is still working to get its people vaccinated. This trip was an incredible value for points, but we'd absolutely be willing to stay again, and pay cash. In fact, we're interested in checking out the other Ziva/Zilara properties based on this experience. We had a really great time here!

We enjoyed our time at the Hyatt Zilara resort. From the moment we arrived until we left it was all a pleasant experience . The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of, a big thank you to Toni-Ann who did such an excellent job. The resort is in Montego bay which was just a few minutes from the airport, we booked private transfers with TCJ Tours, they had great rates and the service was two thumbs up. Check-in at the resort was smooth, our room was ready and we were able to get changed and start exploring the resort. Pools were all very relaxing, beach is expansive and great. The resort was always being sanitized and kept clean. Bar service was top notch and drink options were simply delicious. Food overall is very good, well plated and always served with a smile. We loved the Jamaica cuisine, French and the Italian. Entertainment was all around great, they had you doing moves and kept everyone having fun. We booked a tour to the luminous bay and the blue hole falls with TCJ Tours, it was alot of fun doing both in a day. We learnt so much about the country and got to see some beautiful places, highly recommend if you plan on doing excursions. We had no complaints and can't wait to return.
