Booked trip with United Vacations and went 2 weeks after spring break in May and the weather was excellent. The Hotel was great, Afternoon pool activities like pool aerobics, beach volleyball or soccer. They always had one or two pool games like pool canoe, trivia, bowling etc. , every day there was a nighttime show or event you could attend. The pool staff was super! The food was good at the buffet and we did the Samari Habachi one day and the Italian restaurant on another. Italian was ok, I preferred the buffet. The only downside to the buffet was that they seemed understaffed. At this hotel, waiters bring you your drinks and silverware so at times we would wait a while for drinks. Several times I just got up and got it myself and although not sure we can. They are an eco-friendly hotel so they have dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion which is great. They had a free ice cream shop which was nice with fresh crepes, the only issue was the service there. During our 5-day stay, the 2 ladies that worked there were so unfriendly and abrupt. Customer service is not for them. Beach was clean and had plenty of chairs, the only downside was that no one came to bring you drinks BUT they did have a beachside bar you could walk to. Of course, it's Jamaica so there were people selling things on the beach. They would stay at the water and didn't bother you to much but would rather they did not allow that. They would have local vendors selling items at the hotel which was better. Overall very good experince.…
This was a great place. Clean and friendly staff. Had a wonderful time. Rooms were nice and spacious. Food was great the al a carts were very good. Chef Marcus was very good and friendly. Lobby bar was the best for service when Dean was there. Pool bar and beach bar tends to run out often or basic liquor. Buffet was good lots of variety all the time. Pool staff Damien "Block" and Rohan and Pierre are very friendly and helpful going beyond their lifeguard duties to make sure guests are happy. The Guest services staff Lisanna was not helpful and the security staff is a joke.. they don't do anything but cause issues more then anything. They caused us issues at the end of our trip but the rest of the pool staff made up for them. The night entertainment needs some work to get guests more involved and maybe go a little later the 10pm at least till 11 or 12 on the beach and cater to the guests more. Overall it was a great time…
Beautiful Hotel with beautiful pool. Almost all of the staff are pleasant and happy to help you. The buffet has the best food and service. At check in we were given a concierge. This sounded great. She made reservations for 2 restaurants and offered more. We paid for an all inclusive luxury 47th anniversary trip and we’re left feeling discarded because we wouldn’t take a tour of all three facilities and become Iberostar club members. Felt like time share trap. The concierge dumped us then and redirected us to guest services for any future reservations. But before this, she wanted to know why we picked this hotel over the other two “nicer” hotels. We tried to then make a second reservation for Japanese restaurant and we’re told we could only go once with our type of hotel reservation. The bars ran out of your favorite drinks every day. So be prepared to switch several times if that’s what your plan is. The beach is mediocre and the ocean floor had long sea weed. This was gross to me and I stayed in the pool area. Now I am turned off from going to any Iberostar hotels after this trip. So many of our trips to other hotels were magic. Don’t need or desire this one.…
This place is amazing. Due to the pandemic, occupancy was at 28%. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! Ther was no waiting at the bars, restaurants, or for service. The employees are fabulous and go out of their way to help. I highly reccomend for couples or families. One evening we were even able to get into a restaurant without a reservation. I would like to give a shout out to the Concierge team who, if we wanted or needed something, were on the phone right then to get it done. Our coffee maker quit working, had a new one in ten minutes. Thank you, Sheena and Yameeka. A shout out to Richard at both the beach and lobby bar for his stories, information, and for filling our special requests, (Ting). Alex, the buffet server, thank you for sharing with me your passion for food, your dreams, and your culinary skills. You will go far! A special thank you to the entire staff, for your smiles, kindness and the mad dancing. They also threw a lavish Super Bowl party with TONS of food, and for Valentine's Day had a fun couples quiz show in the Calypso Theatre. Likkle More!…
We loved our week at the Iberostar beach hotel in Montego Bay Jamaica. Took the whole family in this pandemic and still felt very safe as the staff were masked and everything was outdoors and checked your temperature and sanitized each time entering the lobby. The food was fantastic both at the buffet and in the restaurants. The steak house mysteriously became a smoke house the night we showed up but still delicious. Entertainment was fun and moved around to different outdoor venues on the resort. We were able to use the facilities at the suites next door. The bar was awesome with well made drinks all day and night. Jerk chicken at the beach was a particular favorite. Staff was friendly and hard working. All in all a perfect week. Highly recommend.
