Nestled in a tranquil, picturesque setting, the Pepper Sea Club Hotel garners accolades for its cleanliness, modern style, and attentive service. The comfortable rooms and array of amenities, including a private beach and nightly entertainment, are frequently praised by guests, though some mention the pool's depth and space limitations.

As soon as you step into the modern, clean reception you are met with smiling helpful staff. The rooms are stylish with everything you need.Good quality local toiletries, beach towels daily (with a complimentary beach bag)The hotel is situated on the sandy beach, safe swimming in warm crystal clear water.
The food was great variety and good quality, the a la carte was a lovely meal in a lovely setting looking out to sea.The daily entertainment had something for everyone, darts , boules, water volleyball, aquarobics to name a few.But you never felt pressured to join in.The pool is not very deep but adequate to swim and exercise.
The staff were great, and attentive. Its an easy 10/15 minutes walk to shops ,bars and tavernas and a futher 50 minutes to the town. This location was perfect for us,if you're not walkers ,the local bus stop is a few minutes rom the hotel and there is also the tourist train.
My husband and I have loved every minute of our stay and will definitely book again.

The hotel was a pleasure to be in from start to finish. The management and staff were all very helpful and each seemed to enjoy their respective roles - making the whole experience of being there most enjoyable. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The buffet style breakfast and dinners provided an excellent choice at all times, all overseen by a staff who were attentive. The pool and surrounds were clean and well maintained. Access to the shingle sea shore was easy with a shower facility close by. A hire car is required to explore the delights of the area, although there is a bus service along the coast. The holiday was excellent value and I hope to return.

Fabulous, informal but professionally run adults only hotel. Predominantly young staff who were unfailing polite, friendly and customer focused.
The breakfast is delightful. Everything tastes fresh and it was wonderful to be able to sit overlooking the well maintained garden area. Likewise, the evening meal which provided a wide variety of choice. We particularly enjoyed the evening at the a la carte restaurant which was included in our half board package.
We never had sun bed problems. If you like to feel the sea breeze then the decking area is the place to be. Well made and beautifully presented cocktails by the pool....
We appreciated the opportunity to meet the management team and a representative from reception on the Friday evening, with a complementary glass of fizz. The hotel is clearly keen to hear feedback both positive and negative and this is to be applauded.
As two female friends who do not travel light we used our imagination to find a place for everything in our room which was set at the side with a view of the sea and the wider land.
The location does require a car if you really wish to see more of Crete comfortably but there is a coastal bus service to reach Rethmynon and Chania. A taxi from Rethmynon costs between 25 and 30 euros. Bus fare is €2.70. If you use the bus to return you must buy the ticket from the office in advance.
I would be struggling to find anything negative about our stay and it would be minor. Thoroughly enjoyed our week on this beautiful island.

We loved our experience at the Pepper Sea Club Hotel! We came for a week in early July for our Honeymoon and stayed in one of their best rooms (junior suite with a private pool) overlooking the entire resort.
The location is fairly remote, which makes it a great place for a relaxing beach holiday, but means trips to nearby towns or tourist sites are a little harder to get to. There are buses that stop near the hotel or the concierge can arrange rental cars or taxis.
We thought the food was outstanding and included both typical regional dishes as well as a variety of international dishes. The drinks are a little on the pricier side but nothing out of the ordinary.
We particularly enjoyed our interactions the wait staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and they made an effort to get to know us personally. We felt very well taken take off during our stay. Everyone we interacted with spoke very good English, German and Greek.
We would definitely stay at the Pepper Sea Club again in the future!

We decided to come to this new hotel, since its an adult hotel by the sea with "smart rooms" that makes your stay easy, I really love the part that I can adjust the curtains from the touch screen next to my bed. The beach is small but the part of the sea in front of the hotel is protected like a swimming pool makes it safe to swim even when there are big waves. Hotel respects the Covid-19 rules and I understand its challenging since all this is new to everyone and make things more complicated for the businesses and may cause delays. I felt very welcome and safe during my stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and the buffet has a good variety. The food in the restaurant is also yummy. Highly recommended the lobster pasta and the mushroom-leek risotto and as dessert the galaktompoureko with mango and ice cream they were my favourites.

Me and my other Half needed some much needed R&R and we saw Pepper Sea Club Via the TUI website and wasn't to sure as it was a lil pricey but I can honestly say now we're here it's worth every penny!!
We checked in around 11.30pm and straight off the coach the receptionist took our bags sat us down we had fresh Lemonade and they took us and our bags to our room at this time we was hungry but they'd even made us some food before hand! Brilliant!
Soon as we opened the door we was in heaven! The room 224 was immaculate, modern plenty of room and the bed cumfy with good pillows! Lovely balcony with the sound of the sea we knew we'd arrived somewhere nice.
The morning we woke up feeling fresh and a lovely view of the sea & headed down for breakfast. We had what I can only describe as the best breakfast weve ever had anywhere so much selection local meats, cheeses, breads, hot food the staff as soon as you sat down are at your table with juice and coffee etc they've been so attentive!!
Theres plenty of sunbeds for you to sit on throughout the day and able to order drinks via QR code and it's all brought to you! We've literally been waited on from the time weve walked through the door!
The dinner I can only describe as nothing short of Perfect! The chef's really have it nailed down here from different delicacy's to local we've been going up twice just to try different types of foods and the deserts are to die for!
Pepper Sea Thank you for what has been an amazing stay your staff have been amazing keep doing what your doing! We've got a few more days left in this paradise but we will be coming back!

Pepper Sea Club has a lovely chilled out vibe and sea front views. What makes the place fab is the friendly and helpful staff. Great for couples, My husband and I felt it was a nice balance of mixing in but also having your own space too. Arrival drinks and cold towels were a nice touch The rooms are spacious and you have complimentary sparkling wine in your room with robes and slippers. The design is really nice although the shower could do with longer glass as we found it did leak out every day. The seafront is gorgeous with the side mountain views but as it is mainly an a pebble beach most would need swim shoes. Not really a swimming beach but was nice to bounce and crash through the waves.
There is a lovely low key vibe as is the entertainment each night which is low key and chilled.
The main supermarket is 15 min walk away to get stuff and the beach walk is gorgeous. WE did a 30min walk each way most days to pop into vanilla beach bar which was great fun. he main village took us 65 mins.
Highly recommend the lake Kournas trip and spend the day there. Just pick up the fun train for 5 euro rtn
The best part of our holiday was the staff! AS vegans the chef/s and staff went out of there way to cool us individual vegan dishes which was amazing and made our stay all the better .
Big thank you to all the friendly, kind and courteous staff from the general manager to Dimitris manager in restaurant to the waiters especially Antonis, Thannanasis and lovely Miranda in Paprika too? Reception as well. Santiago the entertainment and fitness guy was a delight and joy to talk to and enjoyed his aqua gym and zumba but the star of the place for me was chef Marco who was just so kind, helpful, friendly and great in caring we had vegan food each evening. The vegan tacos and vegan lasagne was delicious as was the falafel and the vegan deserts!! Huge thanks..
The only negative is the awful loud entertainment music noise you hear from the adjacent hotel on the right side. Our room was near the front right so If you able I would suggest staying more in the centre by the garden or on the left side.
Best wishes
Debbie and Garry x

We have just left the Pepper Sea Club Hotel after a 14 day visit and could have stayed longer!!!! We normally visit the Middle East at least a couple of times each year and enjoy the luxury of Dubai’s hotels and service and this hotel meets every aspect of luxury. This hotel has a family feel when it comes to the colleagues working there. Every single one is an asset to the Hotel and from the ones we spoke to regularly I loved the fact they take so much pride in their work and the hotel they work in.
From the moment we arrived we met the lovely hotel manager (who is probably the most visible manager I’ve come across in a hotel and knows all his guests) along with his great front desk team gave us a lovely warm welcome. The hotel is very modern and in our opinion perfect in every way. The grounds, hotel rooms with modern appliances and our private pools were amazing with perfect views.
Whilst we are in a covid world right now the breakfast team were super, in particular the couple of colleagues helping you with your food selection in the mornings and evenings (thank you) and the very talented chef who is there daily to meet you and give you valuable insight on his food. What a perfect touch to be able to speak to the chef personally and he really looked after us and made us feel special during our stay (thank you so much). You are one of the reasons we will most definitely return!!
Yanis the animation colleague (sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) you do a fabulous programme during the day and with the evening entertainment and take so much care of your customers during yoga and stretching!! Thank you so much for even helping me get cream to support the muscle problem with my arm!! You’re a star.
Salvatore the best bar man - your warm welcome every day 😊 again thanks for looking after us.
Our cleaning lady was the kindest person and always making sure we were ok.
The Captain looking after us for lunch and at the specialty restaurant which was amazing. The sommelier was lovely and made my day when she announced she had my favourite rose wine whispering angel and gave great recommendations. I could honestly keep going on. I’ll finish by saying everything about this hotel is first class and in my opinion will make its way to being the best 5 star adults only hotel in Crete. We cannot wait to return and hope to do so next month. Thanks to all the team led by your super manager and chef for a fabulous 2020 holiday.

The staff are very welcoming and all speak excellent English so very easy to be lazy with your Greek. Good service at mealtimes and drinks/food delivered directly to your sun lounger via QR code. Reception were very happy to recommend outings, provide the bus timetable and book us seats on the bus to ensure it stopped. We were looking for somewhere peaceful and as such the location is remote, however the bus stop is a very short walk away on the main road with hourly buses to Rethymno and Chania for a few euros. We had a lovely day out to Rethymno on the bus and another with Georgiopolis safari's who picked us up from the hotel. Would highly recommend a car for those wanting to explore further.
We ate in the main restaurant every night and found a good selection of local and international options. I struggle with gluten and dairy at home I had no problems despite eating both in moderation all week, presumably quality home cooked ingredients made the difference. I would say dairy free options were rather limited however I didn't ask so there may have been more available on request.
There is nightly entertainment which sounded fun although we're early to bed people. We could hear this and the neighbouring hotel in the evenings however it wasn't overly disruptive and finished by 11pm each evening. There was also daily activities, volleyball, darts etc for those interested.
The garden and beach were better then expected based on some previous reviews. Stunning views and well maintained. Loungers were very comfortable although those with umbrellas get taken by mid morning on the busier days. I liked the decking above the beach, got to enjoy the sight and sound of the waves without getting sand everywhere. The beach is narrow at this point, part sand part cobble, you don't need swim shoes it you pick your point of entry. There is a lifeguard on duty during the day either side of the hotel and the beach gets wider further down. The sea is very shallow a long way out and there's a rocky area for snorkelling in front of the next door hotel. It is an exposed location and we picked a particularly windy week so couldn't swim on two or three days but otherwise it was fine.
We had a small room above the main entrance. Bed was comfortable with good pillows. Large walk in shower in the bathroom, somewhere to hang your clothes, small dressing table and balcony with chairs and table. Definitely compact but had everything needed and decor was nice. The smart room functions were a little temperamental, as was the air con and wifi, but all worked after a fashion.
There's a small spa and shop by the pool for changing towels, snacks and any forgotten items of beachwear. I had a couple of treatments and would highly recommend Vasilis who had his work cut out trying to iron out the knots in my back.
Overall we would definitely consider returning, thank you for a wonderful week.
I have stayed for 5 nights at the Pepper Sea Club and find it very difficult to review, as my stay there was quite mixed. It is a very new hotel, that has been operating only for two months.
I will start with the positive things:
The hotel is modern, fresh, stylish and attractive. The pool and the area around it is very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful and seem to be proud to work there, which is always a good sign in my opinion. The manager is always around, and talks to the guests. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and I really like the bread (especially the one with rosemary) that is baked at the Pepper bakery. If you have booked halfboard (like I did), on one evening you can eat in the other restaurant by the sea. There you sit right on the side of the sea, and get to choose 4 dishes from the menu.
Now to the negative things:
The beach was a total dissapointment for me. Its not a beach (at least not like it looks in the pictures), its a sandbox with sunbeds, leading down a couple of stairs to stones and no sand.
The aircon in my room - for the first two days, the aircon "worked", but it didnt cool. I first thought that I had made a mistake in the way how to operate it, so I didnt complain and waited another day (after a completly sleepless first night, due to it being over 30 degrees in my room) before I said something. It was than fixed. On day 4, it stopped working again. I had to to wait 7 hours, and had to ask 3 times, before it was fixed. Sorry, but if a hotel is only 2 months old, and things like that happen, I dont want to think how it will run when its 2 years old.
The Room and the room service: I like the balcony and the view from it (even though because of the sun, it cant be used for most of the day). The room itself is also quite nice, but very small, and without any possibility to spend time there not in bed without being very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, toileteries like shower gel and shampoo where not refilled, not even toilet paper. Of course I could have asked for them, but I really dont think that should be necessary in a 5 star hotel.
For me, besides, the beach, the major dissapointement was the food at the dinner buffet. I was looking forward to enjoy sea food, greek food and cretan specialities. Instead it was mostly international food, okay, but nothing special, bland and something that I can eat everywhere, and overall really quite a dissapointment.

Dear swisstraveler, Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that a great part of your experience was positive. We are disappointed though that our maintenance and housekeeping staff didn’t meet your expectations. Please note that your concerns have been passed on to our management. We regret that you did not take the opportunity to talk to us about the things that you disliked during your stay in our hotel. For that reason our manager is always available for a personal conversation. Our room concept and design corresponds to our description. Our rooms are advertised as COZY. We are very sorry that you found your room too small. The Pepper Sea Club is located on a natural sandy beach at open Aegean Sea. Due to high waves and strong storms in the last few weeks, a part of our beach was removed from the big waves. Since then we have been trying to rebuild the beach. The installed breakwaters prevent further erosion of the beach. Here we fight against the nature by natural means, we really do our best. Our Chef is always present during meals in our main restaurant. He uses every opportunity to communicate with our guests. He also gladly fulfills special requests of our guests if something is not available at the buffet. We hope to see you again and give us another chance as we will definitely improve our services. Best regards

We pand by cash for a ticket in the bus.
You can buy single way or return.
I didn't see any :)
Hi to be fair we never used the bus service, we walked along the coast and the water sports was about 35 to 40 mins away, be prepaired for long walks or hire a car as the hotel is very remote ( unless you are using buses)
