Stayed here as wanted something different, what a mistake!! First night couldn't sleep due to faulty electrical switches in bedroom keeping me up all night making weird bug noises so complained and was changed to a third floor basic apartment was sea view but had the smallest balcony and a broken door handle was not as nice as the 1st apartment with sliding doors in bedroom and walk in shower so felt a bit ripped off when shacked up in this apartment. Next the animations entertainment which was 1 song and dance was not very pleasant as it was mostly the same song very loud and was not necessary I understand kids go to this hotel but maybe keep it to a acceptable level of noise or entertain round we're the kids pools are? And also if you want a sunbed under the shade forget about it unless u get up early and feel you have the right or own that spot and may i also point out the sunbed reserving is OK here as the life guards don't and will say it clear DON'T CARE!!! when we checked out a day early due to this poorly run hotel as we found a better quite place the lady on desk said there is a policy where if people put belongings or towls on sunbeds and are gone for a while it's the life guards job to remove it so it's fair on other guests BUT OBVIOUSLY NEVER HAPPENED.…
Had a really excellent stay hotel was spotless always saw maids in and out of rooms our room was a basic one but it was clean and just what was needed for our stay the food was always hot and plenty of choices for all will definitely be back highly recommended
Theses apartments are great was there at start of may for 10 nights as I have been before.Get better every time I go a place that’s got to be stayed at if you are in Lanzarote .I emailed before arriving to request pool view which I got apparent was modern with your own WiFi nice walk in shower with bedroom to back ,Felt really safe here for my son had golf kids club ten pin bowling play park and also great pool bar which serve great snacks especially pizza and good prices only problem was I couldn’t stay longer but will be back again this year again
Stayed here for a week in March, the studio rooms are based on the ground floor near the childrens playground so lots of noise throughout the day and that was during a quiet period for the complex. Rooms are basic but clean, the building layout means lots of door banging and corridor noise at all times day and night. Noise from upstairs room of furniture bring pushed around the place was constant. Friendly staff but wouldn’t return due to noise levels.
Loved the Galeon Playa. We had a refurbished one bed apartment with sea view and it was lovely. The beds are the comfiest I have ever slept in, even better than my own! There are a mixture of apartments available with studio rooms, one bedroom ones, two bedroom ones, suits, some refurbished and some not. So be sure of what you need. Two great pools, one heated at the front with plenty of beds but not too many umbrellas. The rear pool has no umbrellas but gets the breeze, so if its very hot its ideal. A lot quieter too. No loud music playing as there is at the front. Can't comment on the food as we were self catering, but friends we met said the breakfast was good but the evening meal hit and miss. It's in an ideal spot as so close to the smaller beach and 5/10 mins walk to the larger one. Loved the smaller one. Not many chairs so get there about 9.30. €4 each for beds and umbrellas. Lovely restaurants all around or in the square which was 5 mins away. Entertainment bars everywhere and saw some great singers. The Venue was our favourite just across the road. Will definitely come again and stay at the Galeon, and would ever feel comfortable enough to come on my own.…
We went here for a week last month. Service is brilliant. We didn't use the pool, the bar or the restaurant so can't comment on those. Girls at reception were lovely and they guys who carried our cases were very helpful. We had to get someone to carry our cases as the fabulous apartment we had booked was on the top floor and there was no lift, this was the only issue we had but it does take the gloss off slightly as you can't run in and out too easily with 3 flights of stairs every time. Apartment, grounds, reception area were immaculately clean and well cared for. Apart from the stairs I would highly recommend this hotel
Had an excellent week at the Galeon Playa at the start of May 2022. Hotel very clean and very well maintained. Noticed details like how well maintained everything is and a lot of attention to detail. Pool water quality was sampled & inspected daily. Reassuring if you have youngsters playing in the pool all day and I think it says a lot about how well the hotel is managed and maintained. Room size was quite generous and well furnished and equipped. All appliances (fridge, kettle, toaster, tv, hairdryer, microwave) appeared to have been recently renewed. Plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. Cleaning service every other day. Gardens and public area's all very clean & well maintained. All staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Had a small maintenance issue when I was unable to open my safe. Had a man at the door within minutes to sort the issue. Very nice location with 2 beaches very close by. Plenty of good value shops, bars & restaurants all close by. Although we visited as a couple, there were plenty of families at the hotel and the children all seemed well entertained by the hotels children clubs and evening entertainment. I didn't try the food at the hotel as we prefer to eat out so unable to comment on food quality. Quality of the drinks however and pricing was fine. The resort itself was very clean and the people of Lanzarote all extremely pleasant and welcoming. Even the airport is extremely efficient and clean. First visit to Lanzarote and will definitely be visiting both the island and Galeon Playa again.…
What can I say? Absolutely amazing hotel. 3rd visit and actually wouldn't go anywhere else now. Each time we have been rooms have been great. This time was amazing. Immaculately clean, check in brilliant, location fantastic. Highly recommended.
We booked a 2 bed apartment had asked for a high floor but didn't realise no lift but reception sorted it out immediately and we ended up with 2 adjoining 1 bed apartments (1 was tiny with no outside space but because adjoining it was not a problem)- the only problem with ground floor was the lack of sun on the terraces - though these are lovely and private and we had 2 - one on the main lounge and one off the bedroom in the same apartment. The reception staff were wonderful and always happy to help with any query. The only downside is the pool area - although it says heated it was cold and it is not in the sun for a lot of the day (because surrounded by the hotel buildings) and there was very loud music by the pool that wasn't suitable for the clientele staying there - the only person who seemed to enjoy it was the lifeguard. However, when we mentioned it on check out they did say if we had told them they would have had it turned down - so it probably was our fault for not mentioning. Overall a wonderful stay and would stay again but we would request the music be turned down :) Apartment was very clean and well kept, staff were lovely :)…
