Very clean and tidy, friendly staff. Great setting with zebra, giraffe and antelope grazing among camp.
Delicious breakfasts were delivered to the unit, vegans were catered for.
Will definitely return again.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by one of the ladies which was nice. The place is beautiful and the environment is peaceful. There is no noise and distractions from other visitors which we really loved. The chalets are spacious and super clean. We loved the fact that the chalets have full cutlery including enough plates and pots, and we didn't have to buy anything except food during our stay. The children loved the animals and it was so cool seeing them up close. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for hosting us!!

We visited Buyskop to rest from working a new project intensely for several months, away from the hustle and bustle of the rat race, and away from the city noise like barking dogs, racing cars and loud music. Saturday morning another guest decided to play his music for the neighbouring chalets, completely disturbing the peace and quiet. Mr. Buys had this problem permanently resolved in no time! We salute this integrity!
We included breakfast in our package, which was finely prepared, well balanced and every day enough for lunch as well.
Our chalet was very spacious and very well equipped with everything that we needed for our 4 nights stay. A bedside table at each side of the bed, and a small drawer in the bathroom may be welcome additions.
Stepping over to the bathroom facilities at the camping site, led me to mention to my wife the theses were possibly the cleanest and neatest campsite bathrooms I had ever see.
All staff were very friendly and most accommodating to our time schedule.
We highly recommend this lodge and will certainly promote to friends, and return again.

Very very poor service deliverable from the owners.
As customers we not allowed to state any basic request. I sent an email before arriving to the owner to please make sure that there's a person to inspect the place since we have to pay R1000, to make sure that there's lights during loadshedding, rooms must be cleaned and also that we will not be reliable for any damages that has accured before our arrival. Owner responded on a phone spoke to my friend that i must withdraw my email or he will cancel and take 50% of the money i paid also i am not the person to tell him how to run his place.
Secondly owner makes u feel like his doing you a favor he makes alot of unnecessary threats. Of cancelling so know that you won’t get all your money back in full. This threats started before we even arrived. he feels very much in tittle once you have made payments. he is all nice until you make payments
the is no lights during loadshadding you have to bring you own lights. You also have to bring an extra blanket and your own towels.
Privacy is also bad anyone that walks pass your chalet can see in your rooms.
you feel very unwelcome there as if they doing you a favour by being there. Owner will never come for assistance when you need to talk to him. he will send his workers instead.
If you want to go on holiday and have fun trust me this is not a place for you especially if you in a group. you will be treated like high school kids even if you behaving and respecting the area. I have nothing positive to say about that place but one thing for sure i am never going there or recommend anyone to go there. we usual go in a group trips of about 23 people 3 times a year on the same venue so we decided to try Buyskop and it was just a disaster. we missed our old place Tula Baba Guest Farm i recommend this place for anyone thats in group trips.
Also the owner made an agreement that he will not have an issue with us plaing music only if we book most of his chelete but as soon as we get there we played our music mind you very gently considering the animals and the owner was quick to call his security and tell us about his terms an condition. My advice is anything you agree with this owner make sure its in writing not on a phone or verbally.
Owner if also very quick and defensive even when he knows his wrong.

+1
I wouldn’t even rate this place half a star as it doesn’t even deserve that.
First of all this place does not have a reception where you can direct queries or any questions. On arrival you are received by the staff members and we had difficulties as there’s a language barrier which could have been rectified if there was a reception for all questions and queries.
The roads are so bad that if you’re not driving a SUV or bakkie it is a difficulty getting to the lodge. When we brought this to the attention of the owner he could not be bothered and insisted that we drive slowly to navigate the terrible conditions of the road. Not only are the roads bad but they are so narrow that the thorns scratched the car.
We were booked for 4 days and paid upfront, this morning on arrival at airport in East London we were advised that the Lodge does not supply towels although the booking was paid days before.
Needless to say we didn’t get refunded even a portion of the booking although we didn’t stay even a day and our concerns were brushed under the carpet as though they didn’t matter. I am truly appalled by the treatment of the management of this place and wouldn’t recommend their lodge to any person

Everything was very good the only issue is the beds but nonetheless we enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.
The staff was very friendly and our chalets were cleaned daily. There is free wifi of which we struggled to connect on our first day

We booked this for a holiday. This place is quiet underrated, it has camp sites and some unique and beautiful Chalets that are well maintained and very good. There is no reception so Jan send WhatsApp with directions and the check in process was seamless. Every morning and during the day there are Impalas; Zebras, Giraffes roaming next to the Chalets which made the whole experience excellent. This is good for kids. Braai areas is very neat and well maintained there are shops around Bela Bela to top up if you need. We did not book breakfast and SPA so no comment for those facilities. You can hike on foot we use a car and it was fine with sedan roads are fine.
Nice and quiet bring your snacks and drinks and have a lovely braai in the bush.
Some drawback I would just say maybe we should have a curtain for the front door. Otherwise everything was excellent

This was an amazing place to be with my wife on her birthday weekend. The staff members are very welcoming and friendly. Jan was in constant communication and checking up when load shedding was on which shows responsibility on management's side. The wildlife roaming around was a plus to the stay. Rooms, linen, cutlery very clean. The environment is just fabulous! Keep it up guys, the staff and management you are doing a great job. Will definitely come back for a longer stay this time.

A group of 4 families went to Buyskop Lodge caravan park for the week-end and Jan accommodated us in a very nice setting. We all camped around a boma, and the boma atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the couple of days in the bush. Jan has various game species on his farm and we enjoyed walking around / driving up to the "koppie" for a sundowner . Great venue just outside Pretoria just to wind down ... Hendrik & Elrida Eckard
