Beautiful resort we had a wonderful time. The chalet that we stayed in needs a bit of a upgrade though. The window in the main room doesn't close properly so you have a constant breeze blowing over your face which is not ideal in winter. The front door doesn't close unless you lock it. The furniture needs to be refurbished. There is nowhere to pack your groceries in the kitchen.
Wintertime @ Klein-Kariba are nice. Cold mornings but beautiful sunny during the day. So sad to see the resort so empty outside the long weekend and school holidays. The resort staff are friendly and are eager to help you get settled.
It is a Cosy Place with lots of amenities and fun with beautiful views of different mountains. Fun affordable Activities. It is very big, with lots and lots of exercising. Beautiful clean pools with an indoor heated pool and animals.
Excellent managed resort! Swimming pools are spotless. Excellent, well stocked shop. Accommodation is neat and clean. Lots do do for both adults and children. Overall very good value for money. Will definitely visit again; soon :)
If you are a first time camper , or advance eirther way this place is both suitable and I recommend it fully , it’s clean, convenient and have all the necessary facilities to enjoy as a family with kids as well.
Once again, we enjoyed our stay at ATKV Klein Kariba ("Berghuis"). Quite private, with all needed for self-catering in unit. They also supply a free bag of good braaiwood! We try to stay here at least 2x per year.
I stayed in a 4 bed (2 bedroom) flat and am the happiest ever. I was scared that the place might be too small as depicted on pix, but the space was sufficient and catered to all our needs. I just needed a cabinet where I could put my dry goods. That's all! The highlight was that my friend that came with, finally mastered the art of floating in a pool in his 29 years on earth! lol! I am going back in August. It is a PROMISE!
I will come again and visit your resort. The weekend was extremely cold, just make sure that you offer more blankets. Other than that we cannot complain about anything. The lady at the reception who booked us in needs a reward
Every time we visit Klein Kariba, I realise we could spend a lot more days here to fully relax. There are a lot of activities for all ages. The complete property and units are very well looked after, clean and in great condition.
The Good: - Beautiful Views - Nice Restaurant Staff - Well Trained Spa Staff - Good Managerial Resolutions implement upon complaints The Bad: • Spa has no toilets • Public toilets outside the spa had wet floors & people changing from costumes because of the pool there • Couldn't book the times we wanted for the activities even though your times availability list were stated as those times available. • No information people were on duty after 3pm even though the times of activities indicated longer working hours. • No managerial staff on duty at the premises after 3pm. • Some of the lights in the cabin and outside the cabin doesn't work The Ugly: • No "braai grid cleaner" on hand to clean the braai grid with. • 1 ply toilet paper, not close to good enough. • Poor maintenance on the bath, looks horrible, and made all of us feel like we would rather go to bed dirty than take a shower. • Some of the towels looks like it has been over used for years and is threaded and poor quality. • One tiny bar of soap in a 6 sleeper unit is not good enough. • No lappies in the kitchen to wipe up mess or to dry dishes. • No coffee sachets or sugar sachets or milk cartons. Which is a standard at any self catering unit. • The stairs, leading up to the cabin, are too narrow and are unevenly spread, which leads to a very very disoriented and cautious climber.…
