There are many non residential, second home golf estates in South Africa and very few can match Elements Private Golf Reserve. A stunning, unique golf estate on 495 hectares of property located only one and a half hours drive north of Pretoria in the magnificent Waterberg region of the Limpopo Province. The setting for Elements Private Golf Reserve is one of the biggest factors that count in its favor. The surrounding bushveld terrain varies between natural hillsides and open plains, with mountain views and perennial streams. The golf course meanders through a fertile valley of indigenous vegetation and artful landscaping.

My friends and I had the most amazing experience. The amazing host Elanie Kruger, whom from the moment our booking was confirmed reached out and started sharing information about everything that is available to us. She shared information about the golf, massages, game drives, chef services (self catering accommodation) to cleaning services available. If you had a question, Elanie was always available to assist. Her attention to detail for her guests is amazing, which is what made the trip a 5 star for us. She even goes beyond just making sure the accommodation is five star. For me her giving us a recommendation even on the tyre pressure for our car to ensure a comfortable drive was pure class.

The accommodation matches the service you receive from Elanie. Very clean and very clean and extremely comfortable. Whether you are there with friends or family or both the place is great. My friends and I will be taking our families back there soon.

An Unforgettable Stay at House 111
From the moment we stepped into House 111, we knew we were in for a treat. A personalized welcome Christmas package from Elanie set the tone for what would be a fantastic experience. Her home is immaculate, modern, and absolutely stunning.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the oversized bathtubs, paired with the thoughtful detailing in each bathroom, added a touch of luxury to our stay. The highlight for my family, however, was the Jacuzzi. Despite the rainy weather during our visit, soaking in the hot Jacuzzi after a day filled with games was pure bliss.

Elanie is a phenomenal host who truly pays attention to detail. For those seeking an elevated culinary experience, I highly recommend hiring Godfrey, the personal chef referred by Elanie. Every meal he prepared was exquisite—scrumptious, professional, and tailored to perfection. Godfrey went above and beyond to ensure our stay was extraordinary.

House 111 is a perfect 10/10. I can’t wait to return with a group of friends later this year!

This Peter Matkovich Signature may be one of his best. The course flows nicely from start to finish. I appreciate the beautiful tree-lined fairways that are manicured underneath, thus allowing for some form of escape. The greens are brilliant and the Clubhouse looks down on it all. The Par-3 9th hole features a tee shot over water that we convinced management was the perfect spot for a shootout. I now understand it has become a guest group feature! Unfortunately, if it's dry the course suffers. When its lush, it's one of the best in Africa - in my top 10!

From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the home. It is really spacious and beautiful and made for entertaining. Elanie is a great host and she helped us with all our queries. She also added extra touches that we were not expecting and that was just the cherry on top. Thank you Elanie, our twin Dads had a great 70th birthday celebration.

Great place to get away and just chill. The pool needed to be cleaned.
The wildlife that came to say hello was a bonus. BOMA area is fantastic for a late evening.
Thanks for a working ice machine.
Just have a look at the electrical wiring when it rains as the power tends to trip.

The place was amazing! The house is fully equipped and can fit all your needs.

RnR holidays just failed to book me properly. My name wasn't on the arrival list nor did I get the access code to receive my keys. This is a recurring problem they don't address.

The best guest house we have ever stayed in. This was way beyond our expectation. Will definitely come back again. Keep up the good job guyz

Dreadful road to get there, very dangerous. Golf course OK but not as good as Zebula. Club house completely shut when we finished our round at 4:30 pm, quite disgraceful. We will be sticking with the safe roads, excellent course and excellent clubhouse at Zebula. Stay at Nyala Lodge via AirBNB gorgeous.

We had a one night stay over which included a round of golf. Unfortunately the drought has impacted the course in a big way. The greens are still being watered but the fairways are a disaster, but this can't be blamed on the management as water restrictions are in place. I still enjoyed the course. We stayed in self catering units, each one had a swimming pool and braai area, it was fantastic to be able to social in private with friends. About 2 hours drive in total from PTA.

While staying at the Zebula Golf Estate we were tipped by their caddiemaster to also play at the nearby Elements Private Golf Reserve at Waterberg. Getting there is a different story with a badly maintained dirt road so calculate at least 30/40 minutes of additional driving time. The course designed by Peter Matkovich however is truly one with a championship layout. Although the team was hoping for a nice thunderstorm that day - after a drought of a month or so - the fairways and greens were still in an absolute fantastic condition. Enjoyed their signature par-3 9th hole and take at least two clubs more. The clubhouse is located on top of a ridge and overlooks most of the back-nine holes. What a view and also our compliments for the staff and golf crew from the time of arrival, lunch and leaving this real gem ‘in the middle of nowhere’. One of our better golf experiences in South Africa and will definitely return.
