My husband and I had a fantastic escape to this fabulous property! You simply can't beat the location RIGHT on the beach. Our bedroom felt like we were actually on a boat. Private and totally awesome. Waking up to a beautiful bay all around and watching the dolphins play, must be a highlight to any holiday!

The cottage was equipped with everything needed and in excellent condition.

Luc and Sue were fabulous hosts! Thank you, we will surely be back.

We stayed for 4 nights in St. Martin apartement. Spectacular view, perfect sunsets, braai on the patio with a glass of red wine. Out of season we had the beach mostly to ourselves. With prior arrangements the wonderful hosts had flowers and bubbly waiting for us in the apartment as a surprise to my wife! For a romantic, quiet getaway, Oystercatcher Self catering comes highly recommended. As a bonus, Paternoster is close enough to enjoy the excellent restaurants there.

A second visit to Oystercatcher and this time to the St Martin apartment: just exceptional - well furnished and equipped, uninterrupted ocean views, privacy, well serviced every morning and very good value. Welcoming hosts and staff. The only downside is leaving for another year !

We stayed in the Nautilus apartments and it was very well appointed. We only stayed for 1 night, but the apartment has everything you could need. 2 beautiful bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms. Fluffy towels and soaps were provided. There wasn't any shampoo though, so my dad washed his hair with soap 😉 which was acceptable given that this is self-catering. Very clean, which I was most grateful for (given my fussiness). The linen and bedding were clean and comfortable.

Sue and Luc, the owners, were wonderful hosts. We checked in close to 7pm on the day and they were still so very accommodating.

I woke up to the most exquisite view. It was absolutely breathtaking. In fact the views from the apartment are unprecedented.

The reason I've rated this a 4 and not a 5 was that the windows needed a clean. To be fair I imagine it's difficult and requires a lot of effort keeping windows clean in the type of climate, but the view deserves nothing less than spotless, sparkling windows.

All in all, if you're thinking of booking here, don't hesitate. You won't be sorry.

Dear Kim Thank you for your nice review on Booking.Com. We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay at the apartments. We apologise that the windows were not 100% clean but they were sprayed down before your arrival in the morning, but it is an ongoing battle to keep them spotless by the time guests arrive, with the salt and seaspray, as well as the seagulls. We also thank you for the comment regarding the shampoo and will look into offering this to our self-catering guests as well. We do hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards Luc and Sue

Thus has to be one of the most beautiful locations to stay at in South Africa, the accommodation is great. The amenities excellent. Take a walk along the beach at low tide stunning. Also a lovely walk to the lighthouse. Please note that it is a quiet area, the estate has a nine hole golf course the fairways can be lacking in grass in the hot season. There are restaurants to eat at, Paternoster will offer the top end if that's what you wish for.

Sue and Luc are excellent hosts, they run the B and B as well, they have lots of information to suit your stay. You can definitely trust their judgement..

We have been to the apartments several times.

We stayed in the lodge 12 months ago and returned this time to the Driftwood apartment. Lovely, well appointed apartment, with a great patio area from which you can enjoy watching the sea and birdlife and, of course, great sunsets.

It is a great place to re-charge the batteries and get away from it all. We had the long sandy beach to ourselves.

Sue and Luc are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

Whilst local restaurant options are limited, there is a well stocked Spar supermarket in St Helena Bay.
