Because of our late arrival we were looking for a hotel not too far from Lisbon Airport and as we had only good experiences with the Melia Group in the past we decided for the Tryp Montijo. We were not disappointed - it is maybe 25-30 minutes from the airport, the area felt safe and quiet and there is free parking at the hotel. The room and bathroom were nice and clean and there was a breakfast buffet. As one of us is vegan, I had contacted the hotel before our arrival to let them know about this and asked if they could maybe organize some soy milk for my breakfast (vegan life in Portugal is somewhat limited) and to please provide me with anti-allergic bedding (no feathers!). No problem! I was so pleasantly surprised when they recognized me when we came for breakfast - not only was there soy milk for my coffee, but they had actually even made banana pancakes and a vegan quiche! Everybody was very friendly and welcoming, so I can definitely recommend a stay and would chose this hotel again.…
We stayed here for one night when travelling from Lisbon airport to the Algarve, after a late flight arrival. It was conveniently located for ur journey. Checkin was efficient and the room was adequate and clean, but not special. The location was useful for us but not one to visit as part of a longer stay on holiday. The room facilities were ok and both the breakfast and dining room staff were good. Onsite parking is currently free, though this is a gravel car park to one side of the hotel and provides no security, so make sure you take everything out of the car. Overall, we found the hotel satisfactory, but wouldn't rush to revisit.
We slept there with a tour around Portugal twice. I would never choose this hotel if I traveled alone as the distance from Lisboa is more than 30 km and there is completely nothing interesting nearby. The hotel itself is quite ok - rooms depending on the floor - higher better, lower worse. We had a different amenities depending on the floor - strange, because the room was the same. Most of the rooms are twins. The cleaning ok, however I had a bed sheet on a half part of the bed... interesting way of making bed, but very uncomfortable for guests. The food was even bad... the worse during our trip.
Hotel Well located near the City. Rom was large and calm. Staff very professional and high service customer level. One regret. Hotel starts To be old and need some refreshment. However, we spent a good time there.
Rooms are clean and ok, for this price. The room 115, didnt get internet, i know its free, but i could pay, if they had premium, but it simply, dont work on that room. i had to go downstairs, with my laptop to work, which, i didnt, due the noise on people entering. The staff is friendly, if they werent, i would give 2 stars. The breakfast, isnt great, they do something i wasnt expecting, the cheese, was on the same plate, that had also ham, this might be a dumb complain, but it isnt. My wife is vegetarian, so she would like to eat cheese, with the taste of it, not with ham taste The eggs area, had eggs, bacon and mushrooms, i didnt saw any bacon, just tomato, the eggs werent, good this was the 2nd stay here, i wouldnt stay again
"We had a premium room on the 4th floor facing the front. Hotel is a fairly quiet place anyway and the room was nice and sunny."Read full review
