We spent the night there on Saturday 15 June 2019. Nowhere to put your goods in the tent exept the floor? Lovely bed and linen..............!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I tend to agree with another review that the place looks more like an army camp, with your neighbours almost on top of you. The breakfast was terrible, bacon ice cold, sausage raw, tomato and mushrooms ice cold. In the dining room at the time we were having breakfast, our neighbours and anther couple were saying the same!!!!! Sorry...........NEVER AGAIN!!!!

What a wonderful bushveld getaway! The Unyati staff are delightful. All genuinely friendly and happy to help. The tented rooms are clean, beautifully finished and complimented with crisp white linen. There is a wonderful grass area and pool for young and old to enjoy, all while you absorb the beautiful panoramic views. The boma dinner was delicious, full of authentic South African flavours. Yum! Thank you to Gary and the team for an exceptional stay. Will be back soon! :-)

We went to Unyati Safari Lodge as part of The West Rand Harley Davidson Club (Highway Cruisers). Our bikes were parked at a safe location in White River and we were transported to the Lodge. From the minute we arrived, until the minute we left after three nights at Unyati, we were are well taken care off, looked after and all our needs were met. This is not a Lodge for anyone that is looking for the ultimate luxury, however this Lodge is for people serious about relaxing, enjoying the bush, animals and food. Impala was grazing past our tents and we had a relaxing weekend. Thank you to all the staff, especially Iris (Chef) who did so much to feed our hungry tummies. This was my third time visiting Unyati and as always it is a pleasure to go the bush.

My wife and I went to Unyati for a weekend and we loved it. The owner, Gary and his team was amazing in hosting us. The setting of the lodge is tranquil and we loved seeing all the animals just grazing through the tented camp. We loved the dinner in the boma! Will visit again soon!

More kind of military camp than a lodge. The site is nice, the tents are good, but too close one to the others, and the facilities are less than poor. Very noisy, whereas it is sold for a quiet site (and it could be !!). The way to wake-up people to go for safari makes everyone wake up around at whatever time !! The music at the bar starts at 16:30 and can be very loud until late in the night. Cleaning of the rooms/tents starts by 7:30-8:00 and do not allow you to sleep later due to the ongoing talks of the staff. Service is not acceptable if any, no choice for food, breakfast inacceptable (no possibility for either hot chocolate for the kids, or a coffee espresso). At 8:30, we were barely accepted for the breakfast and one went to the room of our kids to urge them for the Bkfs.... An experience, but none of what you would like !!

Dear Mr Pascal, Let me be very brief and frank with you as I think its unfair to leave such a review without raising any concerns whilst you where at the lodge. I (the owner) was there this particular weekend, when you checked in you were already in a fowl mood and had a huge fight with your children in front of my staff, so much so that we offered for you and your wife to sleep in a separate unit than your children. This in itself should say enough to anyone reading this. The rest of your comments I am not even going to comment on. The day you departed you had to go search for your son, I guess he would have rather wanted to stay. I am sorry we did not meet your 5 star European expectations. Please do feel free to contact me directly. Gary Geyer Director

Unyati offers a rustic and authentic Africa experience. The chalets and tented camp are nestled between lush vegetation drawing a variety of game and birdlife. We enjoyed warm hospitality and fantastic "boma braai" evenings!
