We spent a night here before flying home, and chose this hotel due to the location and price. The receptionist was really friendly and gave us loads of options for dinner when we arrived - this was welcomed as there was not a huge amount open in walking distance and we ended up ordering from Just Eat. The room was fairly basic but with all required amenities, and the double door made it feel really secure. There was a decent selection available for breakfast given the size of the hotel, and we were lucky enough to be flying at a time when we could take advantage of the free ride to the airport. Good for a stopover pre or post flight but a bit out of the way for more than a night.
It's a very clean & cozy place. ALL of the staffs are very friendly and courteous. The location is near the FCO airport and a block from the Tyrrhenian Sea. We will definitely stay at this place again. Highly recommended! The only thing we didn't know until we got home was why there was an extra 20 euros charged to our credit card? Maybe the transportation? But it was advertised as free!
In all fairness it was November cold and rainy in the greater Rome area. The hotel is adequate, clean, the staff friendly and accommodating, and it does include a nice breakfast. You’re ten minutes from the airport (you can hear the planes overhead) and the price was very reasonable. However, short of taking a two block walk to the sea (no doubt a more attractive summer time option) the surrounding residential neighborhood (you are actually a ten minute cab ride away from center city Fiumicino) offers few “touristy” options for the off season traveler. A twenty Euro ride did deliver us to a wonderful downtown restaurant; but that’s another review!
I had a similar experience as Dixie S (oct 2019). I lost my phone and I had no access to my emails. Once I got home and checked my email, only a few days before our scheduled booking did they send an email regarding the cost of airport transportation (I booked way in advance). Even though this place is only a few miles away from the airport, it's 10 euros per way per person via their personal shuttle/car and 25 euros taxi flat rate outside their business hours. The email also stated you get a free shuttle ride ONLY if you get a ride FROM the airport at 4 pm and TO the airport only at 10 AM. When I called them around 2 pm using my fiance's phone to get a shuttle ride to the hotel, the lady did not inform of us of the prices and when they were free. Other than that, the lady who picked us up was very friendly and the car was very clean. We had to take a shuttle to the airport since our flight was so early and the taxi driver was prompt and courteous. The room is compact but is very clean and the bed is nice. The TV has mostly Italian channels with a few scattered english speaking channels. The bathroom is nice. Since we had an early flight in the morning, we got a couple of slices of sweet bread and some fruit...nothing fancy. Check in and check out was smooth and quick. In terms of location, it was near the ocean and beach. It is also within walking distance to a grocery store (Conad's) and a restaurant (Bar Lo Straniero)-which is really good and reasonably priced. We went to Straniero for lunch and bought a bunch of prosciutto meat, cheese, crackers and marmalade for a cheap dinner. Overall, we were hoping to save some money and stay at a cute place but if you add in all the cost of transportation and the fact they charge in Euros, it possibly cost as much as a Hilton or any other chain hotel place.…
A beautiful little gem of a hotel so close to Rome's FCO Airport, but also just steps from a pretty beach. Looks and feels like a Palm Springs hotel with its clean design and well laid out spaces. We ate made to order pizzas for dinner on the romantic patio under the fig tree and had a delicious breakfast in the cozy breakfast room. Add in personalized service and a perfect shower and we were very glad we booked here. Very easy to recommend this hotel. Enjoy!
