We stayed at Cabinas Kahala for 5 weeks while in Nosara and LOVED every minute! Tyler is quite a character with a heart of gold and him and his wife are happy to accommodate whatever you need for a comfortable stay. Tyler has lived here for over 20 years and knows *everyone*, plus you are right within walking/biking distance of great new restaurants, the beach of course, laundry, and multiple farmers markets - yet Cabinas is on a more quiet street so its the best of both worlds. The Cabinas are brand new - SUPER CLEAN and have their own private sitting areas outdoors - we were really quite at home and will for sure stay there every time we come back!

Great rate, great location, great host, great place! My partner and I could walk to everything, we didn't need an atv or car. I also HIGHLY recommend a surf lesson from Tyler - even the locals recommend him! We can't wait to go back again!

We loved our stay here ! The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable with good air con and fan. Beds were very comfy—-slept great every night. Access to pool to cool off. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. They brought us fresh bananas every morning from the trees outside our room. We recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a great place to stay.

We booked on very short notice and after messaging Tyler he personally helped switch some other guests around so we were able to stay in one a room for our entire stay. We stayed for 9 days while in the area to visit friends and surf. Awesome location a bit stepped back from the beach town near Gilded Iguana / Kaya Sol.
Rooms are clean and property is secure. There are a number of cabinas, a smaller cottage, the larger house/pool, and Tylers own house. He and his family live on the property and area available throughout the day.
Couldn't have asked for much more all things considered (price, location, amenities). Tyler is a great host, going above and beyond to be available throughout the day and making his guests feel at home. You get more then usual with this type of rental (we went through Airbnb):
House keeping, wifi, AC, pool, parking and bikes provided. There are also a handful of longboards for rent on site.

I stayed at Cabinas Kahala for a week while attending a surf camp in December. The cabinas are on the property of an American guy (Tyler), who was extremely friendly and helpful. The cabina that I was in, was newly renovated and had everything that I needed, a kitchen, living room space, private bed/bath room, all rooms with AC. There was wifi in the cabinas, but it was a little spotty in the bedroom, better in the living room. My room was not cleaned every day, but I think it would have been had I requested it. There was also a pool on the property, though I did not use it. The property is about a 5/10 minute walk to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to restaurants. All in all, location was perfect, Tyler was extremely hospitable, lodging was comfortable and I would recommend to anyone looking for a more basic non-hotel lodging option where you can still feel safe and comfortable. I would definitely go back!
