My husband & I attended a family wedding at Lalalapha this weekend.
WOW what an amazing hotel.
A very old hotel lovingly restored to a very high standard.
The staff were very friendly & went out of their way to make all the guests feel special.
The food was outstanding.
By far the best chicken pie I have ever eaten.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definately be going back for another visit.

I was fortunate enough to attend 3 days of training at this beautiful place. I did not have the pleasure of staying over but I was astonished with the beautiful old building that was brought back to life. Everything was clean and well organized by friendly and helpful staff. I would certainly recommend this venue for any training purposes.

This place is bad. The cleanliness is very questionable, and the toilet in our room had a permanent terrible smell even after we requested that it be cleaned properly on our 2nd day. The napkins in the dining hall are washed and ironed yes but they have permanent stains and need to be thrown away. There was dust on the window seals inside the dining hall and this made it difficult for us to enjoy the food. We even cancelled breakfast on the 2nd day. I was only happy with the beds and the linen thereof as it was very clean. The staff is friendly yes but very noisy in the mornings from 330am with no regard of the guests that are sleeping. The noise from the gate of the cars coming in and out makes it hard for one to sleep. Clearly the owner here doesn't care about this place and it's a real dump. Yes it is a 2 star but can do with some effort. The walls are dark and not welcoming at all not to mention the doors that look so horrible! We also couldn't complain as there was noone at reception when we checked out

This place is horrible, cockroaches running around, no water in basin, bath dirty with continuous dripping taps. @R1400/day initial charge no worth the money. Could not even complain at the time as there where no one available at reception.
