We had such a wonderful time camping here. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Riaan, Valdette and the crew. The team is constantly reachable by phone if needed. The private bathrooms and kitchenettes are very practical and neat, and the campsites are well-kept. If necessary, obtain a copy of the load-shedding schedule and organize your day around the off periods. The upgraded pool area is fabulous on hot days and the small game around the sites are really wonderful entertainment during the late afternoons and evenings. We will definitely be back.

What a nice place and resort. Peaceful and restful experience. Riaan and the staff are all very helpful, friendly and the whole resort is neat. Riaan has a great knowledge of the area and the informative morning walk next to the river was such a great experience and informative. A great birdlife in and around Uitvlugt resort is a must for every Birdlife enthusiast.
The activities in and around the pool that was available was very pleasant and enjoyable. Riaan well done and I wish you all the success. See you definitely soon!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Uitvlugt Resort - mainly due to the secluded location and the peace and tranquillity. The traffic and music cannot be heard as is the case with many Dinkeng camps. Actually heard lions and hippos which was fantastic. Wonderful picnic spots right next to the Elands River. Management and Staff very helpful and friendly.

Friendly and attentive staff. Each campsite has their own ablution, which is very clean and neat. Big swimming pool with baby pool attached. Shop with basic essentials at reception. Chalets are also available, and very well maintained.

We camped for three nights and enjoyed the path next to the river very much, and it is close to many game reserves. We cycled past giraffe and buck next to the main dirt road.
The other campers were considerate and friendly, and we were able to rest well.
It was very dry and dusty, but I am sure that will change as they develop the place.

We were on an extended stay and found the private ablution and kitchen to be wonderful. It was quiet during the week and enjoyed the impala, golden wildebeest, warthogs and blesbokke. The staff were polite and helpful. Good place to rest

We had a lovely stay at Uitvlugt Resort. Camp grounds are big and clean. Private ablutions for each stand is luxurious and beautiful. If you need a restful time this is definitely the place to visit. Lovely walking trails, clean pool. Lots of bird life.

We camped at Nokeng eco lodge and I'm afraid we were very disappointed. The ablution facilities were dirty on arrival and was only cleaned after our request - and only once in 4 days! The kids' jungle gym is in serious need of repair and the swimming pool dirty and neglected. Warm water available only during certain times of the day....the list goes on...and all this at the same price as some amazing 3-4 star rated resorts....

We stayed in the "Rooibos" Unit, which was pretty much like a shack. No wonder there were no pictures of the inside. The geyser, which is in the middle of the open plan kitchen/lounge held up by two beams burst while we were sleeping and there was boiling hot water spraying all over the entire room, on the electrical appliances and plugs. The owner obviously forgot to turn the pressure pump off. We immedialtely gathered up all four sleeping children (all under 7 years old) and got them out the unit to the car. It was freezing cold and the children were so confused and upset. My husband called the owner to come and sort it out. We stayed in the car for a good half an hour while they were trying to fix the geyser before WE had to ask them to put us in another unit. They actually thought we would go back inside there to sleep! Needless to say we, will never return. That place needs a serious overhaul not to mention a visit by the health and safety department. There was no enclosure or drip tray for the geyser. The second unit we were put in also had a geyser which was exposed right next to the loft area, where generally children would sleep. If that one burst there would be no chance for anyone up there. There were also unsafe plugs and wiring leading from the inside of the unit to the outside light, totally exposed and insulated with a bit of tape.Their only saving grace is a lady by the name of Jo that works there. Without her nothing would get done. Never again!

My whole family (25 people) came together at Nokeng Eco Lodge over Christmas 2012. We had all our delicious meals served in the restaurant, were able to bring our pets, and had amazing service and accommodation. All the staff were polite and efficient, and we felt we were "at home". We'll absolutely hold all our familt (and other!) gatherings at Nokeng - the place is amazing!!
