I stayed for a week in a self catering apartment with my 15 year old daughter. Very glad we went self catering as the one day we paid to eat in the hotel restaurant was NOT very nice! Basic poor quality food, disgusting coffee (and im happy with basic instant coffee - but this was something seriously sub-standard), sausages which were pink in the middle and not even any fresh orange juice to drink on the day we went. Also the hotel is in the basement with no outdoor space or views and has the atmosphere of a busy office canteen. However all the restaurant staff were very friendly and hardworking. Although it is a quiet area, we still found some lovely places to eat in the area away from the hotel, some of which were the highlight of our holiday. Our apartment block was located several minutes walk away from the main hotel, on a street around the corner. We were on the 4th floor which was lovely for a side sea view - but with no lift, it made it hard to get up an down with suitcases. It was also quite scary wondering through the eerily quiet and unfamiliar streets at midnight, on arrival, trying to follow the map to find our accommodation, just me and my daughter. The hotel should assign a porter or other staff member to support customers staying away from the main complex to get to their apartment - especially late at night. The apartment was immaculately clean, fresh and spacious. The maids came every other day and worked very hard. Although they didnt clean the balcony area which regularly had bird poop on the ledge. Noise on a night was problematic as their seems to be a large number of nesting seagulls in the roof terraces - they made a crazy racket all night every night. The attitude of some of the reception staff was really poor. One female member of staff in particular was very unpleasant. I asked to speak with the manager on two separate occasions to discuss an issue I had and on both occasions the manager was unavailable. No offer to take my details so that the Manager could follow up with me later on - just totally disinterested. Overall, I think if your booked to go self catering - this hotel is fine - but avoid the all inclusive on and hope you dont have cause to interact with reception staff.

Could have been better, especially food, drinks and parking space. The rooms are clean, but the hotel is very noisy. Good for families with small children, not so good for couples who are looking for some quiet time. The hotel is close to the beach. 10 minutes walking. Overall it was an average stay. Nothing special.

First up, let’s get the Covid stuff out of the way before we move onto the hotel etc. We travelled from Manchester (T2) and it was well organised and pain free – most passengers had filled in all the paperwork etc ahead of check in so once in the queues, the staff reviewed all and added a little sticker to the passport and you were done until you got to the hotel. However the airport was half empty so don’t know how good/bad the whole procedure would be if we get back to peak. Usual masks in the airport/on plane etc but all straight forward As for the hotel – everyone played their part by keeping masks on inside etc (hardly any chin masks in site). Lots of cleaning going on so a no point we’re we concerned about picking up Covid from start to finish. Staff always had masks on and there was a heavy presence on any trips too etc. So, as for the hotel it was a real pleasure to pay for the upgrade and actually get what the brochure showed. We’ve had some previous bad experiences with Jet 2 holidays where we’ve stopped in 3* hotels at best (paid for 4*) so to open our hotel room to find a big, spacious room with the requested balcony/sea views meant we started the hols on the front foot. Our room was (2)437 which meant we had the end of the block room with an extra balcony for even more room. The room was very spacious with room for luggage to be stored away, actual Superking bed, 2 good sized singles for the kids, his/hers sinks, lots of cupboard spaces….and still room to walk around. It really was one of the nicest rooms we’ve had over the years. The hotel was generally well managed with plenty of staff but it was noticeable that it wasn’t running at full capacity as many have been put off traveling abroad this year (there was less than 20 people on our flight out and around 70% full on the way back) so again can’t comment on what peak looks like. I’ll go through the overall Pro/Cons/Extra’s shortly but overall, we had a fab time. Staff, hotel, location etc all great so would we go again – yes is the answer Pro’s Rooms – big and spacious and 2 keys given from the start so air con could be left on Sun bed wars – Main Pool was closed until 9am so no need to get up at 5.30 etc so this was a real blessing as you could have your breakfast and stroll down with towels at 8.55 and get the bed of your choice Sun beds – comfortable so no need to buy a Lilo to pad it out Life guards – always around and happy to take towels from any no shows on bed hoggers Lifts – plenty of them so rarely queued (even with the Covid protocols) Slides/Splash pool – kids couldn’t get enough Food – good variety and plenty to go around. (Self service too which is great in the post covid world) Animators – again loads around and always keen to have fun. Bruno in particular was a blast Beach – at the bottom of the hill there was two beaches with all the usual trimmings. We liked this as could come back for lunch before heading back. Con’s Plug sockets in the room – near the floor which meant charging was a pain (esp when you’ve got kids ipads etc) 2 drinks min + size of cups – With a family of 4 adults + 2 kids, going to the bar was far more troublesome then it needed to be – esp with the small cups for alcohol Pool – freezing most days – some days by mid afternoon it was ok, but every morning, it took your breathe away Music at the main pool – very repetitive and whilst we’re no prudes, I’m no fan of listening to the ‘N’ word being blasted out whilst the kids are playing. As the ‘set’ being played was the same most days, you got to hear the N word most days too – no thanks. Toilets at the main pool – lighting was dark and the cleanliness would need to be reviewed Reception desk – whilst lots of staff, there was a general slowness to get through customer queries or check in – now this could be covid related, but some days if we saw 4 or 5 people in the queue, you knew not to return for 15 mins Overall, the pluses massively outweighed the minuses so if you get the chance, go to the Palmeiras Village Extra’s Noddy train - €3.50ea for a return into the local town and runs every hour Indian Curry House – short walk from the hotel and very nice food/service – if you fancy a change from hotel food, go here!!

I’m a few days into a large family group holiday. The hotel is well maintained and very clean, near spotless. The food is good, we booked as an all inclusive and as previously reported, not a true all inclusive holiday, ice creams and the likes all cost additional. My biggest gripe is trying to get 4 beers for 4 blokes, it means that two of you have to go up and join a bar queue, to get 4 alcoholic drinks! Furthermore the beer is served in small paper cups, that are not even near 1/2 pint measures
