Booked 2 nights for an emergency trip to vila Vicosa, just after the lockdown in the middle of the pandemic. Had to cancel do to health reasons. This was 2 nights, Monday and Tuesday. Owner refused to reimburse my money saying I canceled too late and suggested a voucher valid for 6 months. I live in Dubai so for me this was not an option. I work in the tourism sector for 28 years all around the world and have never experienced this. An enormous disappointment and for sure a place I will not recommend to my clients in the middle east.

This is more of a guest house than a hotel, its charming very well decorated in a classical style, but with modern amenities. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner who is exceptionally helpful and charming.

This is a stunning historical house, full of marble, run by the elderly daughter of the original family that bought it in the 40's. I get the feeling that it's run now not for financial gain, but to keep it's spirit alive. And alive and well it is. Beautifully old fashioned rooms, absolutely spotless, with a first class pool area. A real oasis of calm and tranquility within a calm and tranquil town. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Stayed for a night and were very happy with the choice. Location is very central, walking distance to major sightseing places and restaurants. The room faced the garden and was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The hotel is very charming, clean, well decorated and the staff friendly. Breakfast is good and regional. Overall a very nice peacefull place

What a terrífic and helpful owner. We truly enjoyed our stay. It’s very well located too. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Fantastic value for money and decent breakfast. Parking is on the street but it’s free. There’s also a kitchen.
