The unpretentious, lovingly furnished "Berghotel Sudelfeld" and the "Brösel Alm" with its marvellous sun terrace as a gastronomic addition in Alpine design are a charming enrichment to the Sudelfeld mountain paradise. A new feature is an outdoor sauna and a small but sporty fitness room.
Carefully maintained outdoor facilities, a large, newly designed car park, the top location in the middle of the Sudelfeld hiking and skiing area with direct access to the ski slopes.

We just spent the weekend at the Berghotel Sudelfeld for our niece's wedding. The restaurant space, and event room/terrace were perfect. The food was wonderful and the staff incredible. They were gracious and helpful and worked hard all weekend - helping to make the wedding a family event to cherish for all time. The Saturday night wedding ended around 5:00 in the morning and the staff were back with a clean dining room ready for us at 10:30 am for breakfast.! Amazing. The rooms were small but clean with comfy beds. The only negative was that the parking area was under construction so lots of dirt and dust.

I stayed here with my sister and my parents. The rooms are nice, clean and seem recently renovated. We were happy with the breakfast... it's not fancy but it has a little bit of everything. Eggs, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, great bread, orange juice.... and is served in a very nice common area. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the construction or extension to the hotel they are doing at the moment as during the week you will hear noise starting at 7am. The weekends are quiet. We attended a wedding at the Speckalm for which this hotel has the perfect location.

Friendly staff, nice clean modern small rooms. Nice bathrooms. Chalet style furniture, very Bavarian. Good wifi and breakfast. Only strange experience was dinner: had booked dinner for two with reservation and upon arrival we were asked to choose for a page menu - dinner was supposed to be a ridiculous 12.50 Euros! - we chose what was to be dinner and we were suprised to only get a tiny salad and small meat dish. Later, after an over 30 minute wait we asked the waitress if there was at least a desert and she replied yes, at extra cost. Money was not the problem, only the way everything worked out. Piti as the table was nice, etc. Maybe this happened because September is low season....

There are absolutely no complaints, all tiptop and better.
Everything there what we imagined and more, the staff very friendly and accommodating, location top and food and drink flawless. Highly recommended ! This was better than I expected and will definitely come back.

Excellent hotel, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good, tasty food and good sized portions. Suite was amazing with lots of space and comfortable beds. If you are going to the area I would recommend staying here.

Would have booked elsewhere had we known only way to reach hotel outside ski/hiking seasons was expensive taxi ride (€25). Website says "free transfer service" - this was not offered. Very unhelpful and unfriendly reception - when phoned from station saying there's no bus we were told firmly and repeatedly: "I can't help you" - no offer of transfer, nor to call a taxi for us, wouldn't even give us a number for a taxi firm!! When we finally reached hotel, were told they were also unable to offer transfer at the end of our stay - after a lengthy argument they agreed to cover the cost of one taxi journey. Peaceful location and comfortable pleasant room, though website offers option to request room with bath which we didn't get, in spite of very few rooms occupied. The promised "free welcome drink" was also missing. Little option but to pay the €12.50 for half-board meal (no where else to eat without a car journey) but not good value food - choice of 2 starters (soup or very uninspiring mixed salad - same soup on offer both days we stayed) and 2 mains (1 vegetarian). No pudding. Convenient location for ski season, but would not recommend due to poor food, and nowhere else nearby to eat.

Dear Guests, thank you for the honest review! We always appreciate hearing from our guests no matter what the cirmustances, so we can learn from it. It allows others to see that we can not be everyone's cup of tea! TripAdvisor is great for visitors to do their research ahead of time and make a judgement call on where to stay. We would like to apologize not providing you with our Free Transfer Service. Actually the Shuttle Service is working and available for our guests. Due to the fact that we are a small hotel with a small amount of staff, we have to plan and organize time schedule for the Shuttle Service accurately. Therefore the website says "Please let us know when you would like to be picked up at the time of making your booking." Unfortunately you didn´t provide us with that information in advance. We appreciate the fact that you mentioned the peaceful location, comfortable pleasant room and the cleanliness and gave them high marks. Those are the details that make us who we are. Stayed here as part of a course, so the whole hotel was booked out for our group. It was an absolutely excellent location, with a ski slope right outside the hotel leading to the ski area, as well as a ski lift back up to the hotel. The whole area was beautiful, especially when covered in snow. The food at the hotel was really tasty, and provided a great insight into Bavarian food. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which really added to the stay. Would definitely come here again!
