Located in the heart of the picturesque Bayrischzell, the hotel Alpenrose Bayrischzell is a mere 70 kilometers from Munich and easily reached by train as well as by car. Whether you come for business or for leisure, the Alpenrose is the perfect base camp for meetings or exploring the Bavarian Alps and the Tegernsee-Schliersee region. Its uniqueness derives from the hotel’s mix of traditional Bavarian blended with design classics from the sixties, giving the hotel a guest-house and mountain lodge feel. The refurbished restaurant offers a hearty breakfast and in its “Zirbelstube”, the large, sunny veranda and the cosy Biergarten you get served traditional Bavarian dishes made with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. All 30 rooms provide a sitting area, TV and a bathroom; some of the rooms have access to the huge balcony. A small in-house SPA-area has been opened in 2019. 2 meeting rooms with Wi-Fi provided free of charge throughout the hotel. Parking is available for free as well.

Extremely hardworking, courteous staff, young and dedicated. No matter what questions or concerns you have, you will be helped here. The breakfast buffet is a blast for versatility in the form of various cheeses and sausages, cereals, juices and much more. Egg dishes are freshly prepared to order. Kindness everywhere. Cosy room, TV, great bathroom, always very clean.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel, over the Christmas period, to relax, sleep and relax. The whole family was very satisfied, clean and cozy room, very extensive breakfast, friendly service, very good restaurant offer and an excellent menu on the Christmas days. The location in the middle of the village is also worth mentioning, the train station is around the corner, ski bus departure, ski rental etc. is all within walking distance, so actually no car is needed if you arrive from Munich by train. We would love to come back, we had great days. Thanks for everything.

Great location, central but still quiet. The house is a perfect mix of Bavarian tradition and modernity. The room and bathroom are cozy and very clean, the bed is new and super comfortable. The sauna area is very well maintained and tastefully decorated.
The breakfast is outstanding: a huge selection of high-quality and, among other things, many great regional products. Individual requests such as a delicious cappuccino or fried eggs were proactively offered to me.
The atmosphere in the entire hotel is absolutely friendly, attentive and family-like thanks to the manager and the staff: this is evident at the reception, in the service, in the advice on leisure activities (e.g. hikes) and right up to the check-out. My dog was also given a particularly loving welcome.
I am already looking forward to my next visit to the Alpenrose.

At the Alpenrose, the very attentive staff, the fantastic cuisine and the great wellness area ensure a perfect holiday in the heart of Bavaria. The location on the Sudelfeld for skiing and as a starting point for hikes, e.g. to the Wendelstein, is ideal for experiencing the Bavarian Alps at their best. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the hotel - unfortunately only one night. It was a really cozy hotel held in alpine style. The building is quite old and therefore there is no elevator.
Very friendly staff at check-in - she told us about various options in the area including a small hike to the local waterfall.

The room - on the third floor - was large and spacious and with beautiful visible bells. There was an attached large bathroom - everything was neat, kept and clean.

Nice view from the room - however there was something diset the day we were there.

We can definitely recommend the hotel and next time we will take more nights.

The Alpenrose is an old hotel m in very good condition in the middle of town. The furnishings are traditional yet modern. The staff is friendly and helpful.
You put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness throughout the house.
Our room is equipped with partly old but lovingly restored furniture. The bed is modern and has very good mattresses. We slept very well.
The menu includes traditional dishes for every taste, as well as young and modern dishes.
A visit to the sauna in the annex is really worthwhile.
We had a very pleasant stay and will gladly come back

The Hotel Alpenrose is perfectly located in the centre of Bayrischzell and has ample parking. The staff there are very friendly and try to fulfill all wishes. Our food was excellent, whether breakfast buffet or the delicious dinner by menu. A day ticket is also offered here. The in-house beer garden is also highly recommended and lies completely in the shade under trees. We will gladly recommend the Alpenrose to our friends and acquaintances!

Great hotel in the middle of Bayrischzell. A lot has already been invested in the renovation and the whole thing has been done with great taste. A beautiful retro style has been created. The staff are super nice and friendly. As dog owners, we were given a very warm welcome and had a very nice room.

We strongly recommend eating in the restaurant and the breakfast is really very rich and varied.

We came with an electric car and were able to charge it easily in a parking lot right in front of the hotel.

On Mondays, the Alpenrose serves sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings. I thought it was great, I hadn't had sauerbraten in ages. But to my disappointment, the meat was streaked with tendons and fat, more like soup meat and tough to boot. So the opposite of a classic sauerbraten, and the sauce wasn't what you'd expect from sauerbraten. My neighbor felt the same way I did, a huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it, except for the red cabbage.

Very friendly staff, very clean room. The sauna and the spa option are great!
We also really liked the small additional services such as late check-out or self-service fridge after the bar closes.
We would love to come back!
