Overall, the house is characterized by a wonderful location and peace.
We will certainly come back, but then with the certainty of finding something completely different.
Little drop of conscience: Our double room with balcony cost 490,-- € incl. Breakfast per night! The price includes services (hiking, Tai Chi, etc.)

Some rooms are in cottage towers and older rustic wooden houses. The huts, which are charmingly distributed over the grounds, are only accessible by steep stony paths. You should know that before you book. Dogs are not welcome either. With about 30 € per day plus additional final cleaning even for well-behaved four-legged friends who are not noticeable, the house is a bit off trend. The wonderful surroundings invite you to long walks with your four-legged friend straight to. The simple huts are relatively expensive, in need of refurbishment and seasonal also damp.
The restaurant offers with very good service an excellent half board and also an offer, slim fir, is included. Calorie reduced cuisine is offered here.
Especially worth mentioning is the golden farm shop and the cultural offers that take place again and again.
Yoga retreats can also be booked there. But I haven't tried it yet.
In my view, however, the real problem is the long mountain paths between different residential towers and the main house, which you certainly cannot cover in your bathrobe in winter. They are actually typical hiking trails that become extremely problematic as soon as it gets dark, because you get lost, because there are no light strips or lamps at short intervals, you have to know that before booking!. And if you're not sure how to step, you're in danger of falling. With a hotel of this price range, you can expect there to be paved and illuminated paths that can also be cleared of snow, because who likes to go to dinner in winter hiking boots?
The food was good but completely overpriced: Starter: 1 handful vegetables, nicely arranged, main course: 1 ladle risotto, dessert: Crêpes with ice ball: 85,00 €! Without wine!
In general, you can see the extensive absence of meat from the kitchen and the fasting offers also from the point of view of cost optimization as well as the room cleaning, which probably only takes place every 2-3 days...of course, this is touted by the hotel as sustainable. 270,00 € per night including breakfast (without dinner!) are a joke!

The hotel is uniquely beautiful, full of history and yet modern.
You can choose your meals. I fasted and it was excellent all round. The soups, juices and broths were a highlight every day and the recovery days are a delight.
The treatments were also all special and loving. Thank you again to the nice team.
Wonderfully situated in a scenic area with great hiking opportunities or skiing and cross-country skiing.
In my opinion there is nothing that can be improved here, please just keep it as it is.

Unfortunately there was a big BUT for us; we were paying EUR205 per person per night and the service at this place was very very poor.
We had cold showers throughout our stay. We raised this with reception to be told someone would look at it but the problem persisted. At checkout we were given a ridiculous EUR20 off from our bill. In general, we felt this incident was reflective of the level of service: the service was slow (we had to go and get our drinks ourselves at the bar) and generally we felt there was a lack of friendliness/ attention from the staff.
Very disappointed to have to leave a review like this but our experience can be summarised as follows: Overall it felt more like a fancy Pension than a 4 star hotel. The price to pay is unjustified.
The fasting is really fun there and the build-up days, where you get more of the good cuisine, were a treat. I can now understand very well why most of the Tannerhof guests are regulars. Anyway, I have already booked my next stay.

Small hint for those who need an Internet connection in rooms: Just take a coaxial cable with you during your trip, so you'll be able to connect your laptop. And finally at my check out time there was a problem in my bill (for some reason it was 200 EUR more), however finally they corrected that issue. In general, unfortunately, I'd not recommend this hotel, I'd rather go somewhere in Austria since it's very close to border.
Pluses:
- free parking space onsite
- swimming pool and sauna
- delicious dishes in evening, however they charge extra for any type of drink, even water or tea
- hotel location is not so far (around 300m) from bus stop to ski resort. The ski resort itself is 5km away.
Minuses:
- No TV in rooms
- No special heating for drying clothes in rooms
- Bathroom is totally uncomfortable: the way of getting in/out, fully transparent window pointed to the street with no way to hide yourself
- No mirror in toilet room near tap
- Poor breakfast
- they have a special room for storing ski equipment, but no heating in there, so next morning you'll have to put on cold helmets and ski shoes!
