The lodge has four chalets, surrounded by the african bush which are overviewing the Bushmans River and its canyon. In close proximity of the Addo Elephant National Park and other private game reserves like Schotia Safaris, Ikwanitsha is the perfect exploration base for safaris and other day trips. Besides observing the wildlife you can explore the vegetation of our more or less 300 hectar property and enjoy spectacular sunsets in a private atmosphere - away from everyday stress. We are looking forward to your booking inquiery and on request we will organise your safari and other excursions.

My daughter and her husband and l visited this Lodge for a one night stay. The lodge and chalets are set in the moutains and the views are so beautiful. The accommodation was absolutely gorgeous with king-size comfy beds, kitchen and lovely bathrooms. The bedrooms face the mountains with French doors opening onto a verandah. The attention to detail is to a very high standard. They even have underfloor heating.

The restaurant is beautiful and meals delicious attended by happy smiling staff. This location is a little peace of heaven with stunning scenery, birds and animals. I would highly recommend this lodge for a relaxing stress free visit.

Ingrid and her team made us very welcome and even though we could only stay for one night in this perfect place, everything was perfect. Kind hosts, stunning view, lots of wild animals in the area(they got zebras by the entrance gate). we definitely will come back!

The host is soo welcoming and makes you feel like you are part of the place, not a guest. Great 3-4hour hiking trail where you get to see Zebras, elands etc. Facilities are very private and superb finishes. View over the valley is out off this world. Get to watch the train and the sun rise 👌🏾

Our stay at Ikwanitsha Lodge exceeded our expectations by far. We were initially unsure whether to choose a more remote accommodation and the drive over the gravel road has challenged our small rental car a bit. But all we can say is that it was well worth the journey and we were happy to spend a full 3 nights there. Communication was great and Ingrid was kind enough to book 2 great activities for us. Anyway, the hosts and all the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The chalets had everything needed for a nice stay: good facilities, cleanliness, very comfortable beds and great views. The breakfast is very good and we can also only recommend to take advantage of the great dinner, which we did not expect to be so delicious. We also had nicely scheduled an afternoon on site for relaxation, which we used for a walk around the stunning grounds - a wonderful experience! So we can only heartily recommend to book the Ikwanitsha Lodge and also plan enough time for a walk & relaxation!

My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ikwanitsha Lodge. Ingrid was a lovely host and very accommodating. The panoramic views, delicious breakfast, dinner and seamless check-in and check-out process really made our stay a pleasant one. We would definitely be keen to visit Ikwanitsha Lodge again soon!

The lodge is so nice. It is all designed so well and the views are just amazing. We were speechless. At the same time it is so peaceful and relaxing. The offered breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Ingrid was is such a lovely person and took care of everything. She also organized for us a private trip to the Addo and Schotia game reserve which I do recommend. If you look for a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable and nice place - here you find it. I recommend it without any doubts!

Booked this lodge for its unbeatable views and still close proximity to Addo Elephant Park. We stayed for 3 nights, preferring secluded places, nice logdes, good food and preferably a view – Ikwanitsha had it all and so much more.
Ingrid, the owner and her wonderful staff Beauty (the cook), Afri, Tamara and Thandi really made you feel welcome and went the extra mile to make our stay just heavenly.
The lodges were super clean, very well designed and nicely decorated with a big, round-the-corner porch. It feels like your own little lodge in the bush. There a resident animals on the property (zebras, elands and Frida & Franzl, the ostriches) and we even saw waterbucks together with a nyala.
We just wish, we would be living a bit closer to this great place. Thank you for everything!

We had a pleasant stay at Ikwanitsha, definitely recommend the place and we are obviously going there again. It felt so magical, with the zebras, elands, impala's and sometimes rabbits in so far distances. It felt like we've lived there forever because of the comfort and warmth of the chalets interior and Ingrid's kindness.

10 miles down a dirt track I got to the most isolated accommodation I had ever been to in my life. Ikwanitsha is the perfect place for those who want to unwind and relax which was my case after a businesss trip. Ingrid is a charming and helpful host, the lodges are spacious with spectacular views, the food delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful to see herds of wild zebra on the lawns!

We enjoyed staying at Ikwanitscha, fantastic lodge, wonderful view, amazing breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the interaction with the German owner Ingrid. When we arrived we were greeted by her two ostriches Frida & Franz, unforgettable!
