From the moment we arrived at Founder's Lodge for 3 nights we were treated like Royalty. We were greeted by all the staff accompanied by a huge welcome from Phillip and Suzie and Derick as if we were Family! The Lodge is exquisite in its appointment and location, you feel like you are in heaven. Our tracker Scambuzho was amazing tracking the animals and creating the most exciting drives! The safari's were complimented by the incredible cuisine prepared with love every day and the presentation was simply outstanding! The manager duo of Linda and Wayne gave us amazing insights into the animal conservation projects and were so kind and a huge shoutout to Derick who took such amazing care of us and sspolied us rotten. We love you guys! Thank you for making our dreams a reality!

Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever been and experiences I’ve ever had. The love and warmth you receive while you are here is unreal and unmatched to anywhere else I have ever visited. We felt like we were home and so welcomed by every member of the staff and left with the feeling of leaving your families home. The property is beyond gorgeous with the most captivating sunsets and sunrises I’ve ever seen. You have access to the whole house and grounds many amenities. Dinner can be private but they do also a family style where you join other guests at the large dining table and enjoy everyone’s company over some of the most amazing food and desserts I’ve ever had. Founders lodge is a very special property and you can feel that from the minute you walk in. The story behind the property is special and told beautifully in the art, photos as well as small but VERY interesting museum. This property is so much more than just a lodge, it's a home away from home, where you can feel special and spoilt in every way. We highly recommend Founders Lodge By Mantis.

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2019. We were in room 3, a lovely large separate villa with a view of the waterhole, rhino, warthogs etc. The lodge has great 360 degree views of the countryside. The staff are very friendly and caring. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable and work incredibly hard to get you to the rarer game. On one drive we saw one male lion, 3 female lions and 4 cubs in 4 separate sightings. Overall a suburb stay.
