About

#20 of 43 hotels in Ramnagar
Hideaway by Aahma falls in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand and has geographical and ecological characteristics of the Sub-Himalayan belt. It comprises an entire hill of the Kumaon Himalayas and is flanked on three sides with dense Sal forest connecting it to the famous Jim Corbett National Park. To the north, it is connected to the Oak and Rhododendron Himalayan mountain forests of Nainital forest division and the western boundary is etched by a sub-tributary of the Kosi river. Broadleaved deciduous forest, riverine vegetation, scrubland, grassland along with gorges and ravines form a varied topography inhabited by rare wildlife. The sitabani reserve gets above 600 species of resident and migrating birds throughout the year. Being a part of the trans-Himalayan birding corridor, the reserve gets both plain and mountain birds during latitudinal and altitudinal migration patterns. Some Himalayan animal species like Himalayan Black Bear, Himalayan weasel, Yellow-throated Pine Marten, Himalayan Goral and Serow also visit the reserve especially during the winter months. Indian leopards in this reserve inhabit the craggy cliffs and gorges to avoid interaction with the dominant predator, the Royal-Bengal Tiger which prefers the thickly forested valleys and lowlands. Herds of Asiatic Elephants often pass through the bamboo plantations of this nature reserve when migrating between the core and buffer areas of Jim Corbett National Park

The most exhilarating experience I ever had in my entire life was of Hideaway by Aahma. This place is situated inside Sitamani, Jim Corbet. While traveling to this place, I was thrilled to see the wilderness of the place. Its an absolutely attractive property which makes one dwell into its beauty. All day long, birds of different species keeps visiting here and that view is of million dollars. I was here for 2 days but witness something of lifetime like wild animals making Special appearances at the property. The local, authentic Kumaoni style tea was one of my favorite prepared on Chulha with all the conversation with Jeevan ji ( the man who look after the property) & Mr. Deepu ( Cluster Manager of the Aahma properties, a man full of energy, intellect skills to enlighten). Despite all my adventures experiences, I had zero compromise on comfort. The rooms here are super comfy, clean and cozy. Food definitely was the one that made me happy as it was a pure soul food. Long walks to the hills and witnessing river, waterfalls was so pleasing. It's a getaway from all the worries and indulge in pleasure of this mother earth.

If you are looking for staycation in the wildnerness, this place is perfect for you. Located deep inside the Sitavani forest of Jim Corbett National Park..this is a secluded boundary-less property surrounded on all sides by forest. Not only you'll get to stay in the middle of the jungle here but your stay will also be really comfortable in their well suited rooms and the homely food. In the daytime you will see muster of peacocks running & flying around you while at the night, you will see herds of deers walking & grazing right in front of your room. Jackals and barking deers ate also frequent visitors in this property. If you are lucky, you might get to spot tiger/leopard here as well. We heard the roar of a tiger but missed seeing it. Not only wild animals, this property is visited by over 200+ varieties of birds..so if you are a bird watcher, you'll be in here for a treat. In the daytime, you can enjoy various sports activities here in their sprawling lawn and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset sipping 'Kumaoni Tea' made on chulha with freshly plucked ingredients right in front of your eyes. At night, you get to enjoy the warmth of bonfire sitting barely feets away from the jungle in pitch black surrounding under the sky illuminated beautifully by the stars, the caretaker of this property- Jeevan ji will serve you potatoes roasted in your bonfire, topped with butter & tabasco while entertaining you with strories of ghosts from his village. In the morning you can go on a nature walk and barely 2km away from the property, you will find a pictureseque river with crystal clear water flowing in between the mountains where the sounds thay you will hear will be of the flowing water or the birds chirping around. You can do your yoga here or get a face wash with water as pure as one can get. All in all, this place provides homely stay amidst true wilderness. P.S. when you visit this property try to get in touch with the cluster manager of Aahma Hospitality- Mr Deepu. He will take your experience of this place to another level.

I'm so glad that finally I got to book this place and spend my days here away from busy city life. Finally I can brag I lived in the jungle hearing the animal calls and experiencing the real wilderness. Their property is so huge you can literally drive in it. Wake up early and see peacocks dancing in the yard and deers feeding on grass. Kudos to Jeevan Ji who made us feel at home with his amazing cooking skills and his special evening tea on mud fire oven. After that you'll get to eat baked potatoes with melted butter on them sitting by the bonfire. He's also gonna take you to a waterfall in the jungle and trust me guys walking in the jungle is the real thrill and adventure you'll experience. Jeevan ji will tell you a lot stories about the jungle so stay curious till then. People expecting luxury at their ease please just sacrifice luxury for just one time and experience this property, you'll never go back to the luxury segment ever again. Thanks to Jeevan ji and his team for making my experience a life time memory which I'm gonna cherish forever.
