Detailed Reviews
Just got back from 2 nights at this location. Mother/Son trip.
Decent slots offerings, but like every casino outside Las Vegas the "Themed" slots are few and far between. I'm not there with intent on winning huge, so at least entertain me with familiar themes! Ghostbusters, Family Guy, etc... That's where I will spend my money. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the Monty Python "Killer Bunny" slot screaming at us to "RUN AWAY!" So much fun and laughs!
Room was better than expected. 6th floor smoking room. As a long time Las Vegas visitor, it was probably the first time in years that I have been able to stay in one in Canada. Mini fridge is included in the room, so our tradition of having a few drinks while chatting was magical.
The in-resort Tim Hortons is closed indefinitely, but it's a 5 minute walk across the street for a fix. No big deal at all.
Did not try the pool, as an hour before we were going to go, a large group of youth baseball players checked in. Based on the CHAOS at the elevators as we were trying to return to our room, we decided against it. Their chaperones seemed completely overwhelmed, and were part of the problem as well, as they practically STOLE 3 elevator trips from us before we could squeeze into one they hadn't already commandeered. Seeing them ALL get off on the 3rd floor pool level made us wary of getting any relaxation.
After midnight, was woken up by a loud booming voice over a speaker in our room telling us it was safe going back to our rooms. It was on repeat for a good 4-5 minutes. I never even knew I was supposed to have evacuated! I'd put money on one of those kids pulling a fire alarm.
All said and done, It was a beautiful resort, and I think I'm going to book another trip in a couple months. Mid week next time.
I apologize for pointing out mostly negative stuff, but this was absolutely a positive trip. The staff I encountered are absolutely top tier.

This hotel/casino is located on Chippewas First Nation land north of Toronto. We spent one night here in May with a party of three adults. Our room/suite was large, well appointed and comfortable. Their were two double beds in the room as well as a sofa, chair, table and chairs, small refrigerator, large TV. The bathroom was very large and had a glassed in shower and separate bathtub. Dining options were limited but for our purposes it was all we needed. Had breakfast in the lobby restaurant and it was very good. We were there for a Ringo Starr concert which was great. My only complaint was with the concert venue. We had seats in the 8th row on the left side facing stage. We could barely see the performers from this vantage point. I was disappointed that this 5,000 seat venue was not more intimate. The seating was not ideal and stretched over to the sides way too far for a satisfactory view of the stage. Ringo and the All Starrs were great however!

My son decided to surprise me with an eighty-sixth birthday gift of a stay in the Rama Casino plus tickets to the Beach Boys show. I had been there many years previously when they first opened. At that time I didn't stay in the hotel.
When we arrived the casino property was amazing, as I remembered it. The surprise was when we went to our room, it was luxurious, the standard deluxe suite with a king bed and spacious sitting area with all the amenities that one would expect in a class hotel accommodation. We had travelled from the West Coast to spend a few days with our family in Ottawa. My son decided to provide me with a memory I'm not likely to forget.
In the short time we were there we couldn't do everything and try all the dining venues. We did eat in the Simcoe Yard House and had breakfast at the Weirs Restaurant, both of these dining venues had excellent food. I would highly recommend either establishment.
This is a casino, so the question of how we did is mute. We didn't but we did have fun, that's what we went for. It would have been nice to say we won big, but we didn't.
The main reason for coming to Rama, in addition to the casino, was to see a show. This time it was "the Beach Boys" which was something of interest in our earlier life. The show was in a venue that seats over 5,000 people and it was sold out I would guess there were about 4,000 there. The show was great the performers brought back many positive memories.
I could easily recommend a visit to the Rama Casino for a stay and show.

The room rental at casino rama was absolutely disgusting. It was not clean prior to arrival. We called down to the front desk asking to be moved they would not move us they said they would send someone up to clean our room - manager came up 1/2 hr later saw it was not cleaned. She took pictures - we finally got a new room but no compensation of inconvenience waiting for everybody to figure things out. - zero compensation how very sad for that kind of money we pay for those rooms.

Pros: Still a beautiful place. Germain’s Restaurant is still one of the most fabulous dining options in the town, with exemplary service! The gentleman who handled our baggage were the best! Friendly, knowledgeable and really pleasant, a nice welcome to the casino!
Cons: beware if you require certain amenities. Room service is closed, understandably with covid, however, an extra roll of toilet paper and a full box of Kleenex should not fall under the covid category. Toiletries in a double room were also disappointing. One bottle of lotion, 1 bar of soap, no hair conditioner. There is shampoo and body wash in the shower dispensers. Upon arrival, we requested glasses, which were also not available. So I requested 2 extra coffee cups, as we only had two, we were told that was not possible, as they did not have enough, which was a bit shocking considering we were there for 2 nights. I think if I was management here, I’d be running to a grocery store for cups!
If you are handicapped and need a wheelchair or a bit of consideration, don’t even think about the hotel for the next few months. Upon booking two rooms for 2 nights, we requested a room close to the elevator for my mom who is in a wheelchair, and were told this was not a problem. Upon arrival, both rooms were at the very farthest possible location from the elevator. They also had no wheelchairs available yet either The hotel was practically empty, so surprised they were not able to accommodate this request).
Housekeeping is also not available during the stay, not a big deal for us as we were only there for 2 nights, might be a problem if your stay is longer and you have more than 2 people in a room.

So.....
Came to stay and play with my son and brother-in-law and the first night at 3am or something stupid the fire alarm went off non- stop for 30 plus minutes. Then after it went off nobody came back on to say everything was ok and the building wasn’t burning down. The next day the manager apologized which was nice and said he would rebate the resort fee for both nights. I went to pay bill and they rebated the one night but not the other. It’s not that big of deal but when I mentioned what the manager said the front desk agent said NO only one night. The manager George should have gave what he promised and had it all finished so I didn’t have any more problems checking out. Would have appreciated better customer service!!!!!

+1
We stayed overnight at the hotel as we were attending an evening concert in the Entertainment Centre as well as playing some slots. The suite was very spacious with a nice seating area in front of the king sized bed. Various lighting was throughout the suite. The 4 piece washroom was nicely laid out and offered privacy from the rest of the room.

We aren't gamblers and so didn't take advantage of the slot machines or card games. But, the area for gambling looked nice -- machines were attractive and not overly noisy. Their buffet is closed for Covid, but Friday and Saturday nights they have a Burger Bar. We liked it! It was an AYCE with about five types of burgers, toppings, salads and quite a few desserts. Non-alcoholic drinks were included. All this for $20 a person which in today's world is considered moderately priced.

What a big disappointment. This place has gone down hill. You would think for the price increase to 44.00 a person plus tip the food would be better. The food quality and selection are just not there now. Beef was like leather. Winton soup was saltwater with wonton. No green onions or Bok Choy or sesame oil. Just bland. Pizza hard to chew desserts lacked and no longer offer a sugar free selection. I think this food was on par with cafeteria food just way over priced. Even the buns were dry and stale. You would be better of for the price to goto the Mandarin or just down the Road to there is an Eastside Mario's with better food and price. This place I would give 4 out of ten.

First the positives. Staff was great, when you could find one. Food at St. Germaines was great as was the Yard House. Staff were great in both places. We stayed in the Club Section of the hotel. Room was great but could use a little upgrade.
Now for the downside. There is no room service, so if you want to dine in your room you have to go to one of the restaurants and get doggie bags to bring back. WE stayed 2 nights. After the first night at around 4:00 i phoned and asked when we could expect house keeping. They told me I needed to request it, but they would look into it. A couple of minutes later, the front desk called me and said they weren't doing housekeeping that day as the has staff shortages. All we needed was clean towels and refresh the coffee. They did send that within 15 minutes. It did dawn on me that throughout the day we never saw any housekeeping staff anywhere on the 8th floor.
I would think that if they had issues, they would advise people staying there that there was an issue. I think it is called being proactive.
