As an overnight halt this couldn't be better placed and we were delighted to find vacancies there for one night in high season. By the morning of departure we knew why we'd been 'so lucky'. The website doesn't lie, the facilities are all there for the lovely holiday hotel it might once have been. Now the excellent staff seem to be working in a world that has moved on.

This hotel could be a brilliant hotel. It is very tired and the rooms are very tired and dated, the pool area also needs attention. I don't want to be too harsh as i enjoyed my stay here and that was mainly down to the very helpful staff, anything we asked for was provided. Back to the hotel itself, it needs money spending on it as it has a lot of cracked tiles everywhere, the pool, the reception and the rooms. The rooms are very dated and again a few issues. Our first room smelt damp and we had to move but the room we stayed is was nice but had damaged and loose plug sockets, a very old seventies radio alarm i think, no aircon and the bathroom was very old but clean with no extraction working. It appeared to be a stop off hotel for many people and we were only here for a couple of days ourselves. Now the good part the location is at the top of the hill in Laredo and the views are absolutely stunning, some of the best i have ever seen. If the owners of this hotel spent a little money updating the rooms and dark corridors they should never have any issues filling it as it could be a excellent place to stay.If only they match the enthusiasm of the staff. I hope they do this as i would go back if they did

No complaints, breakfast good, short walk into old town, room clean, pool clean, staff friendly & helpful. A bit dated, but in good condition, reflected in price. Parking, well connected, free wifi. Would stay again.

The hotel is located at the hill above Laredo, next to the coastal highway. Parking is free. Nice view of Laredo and the beach. However, at night they switch on flood lights to illuminate the hotel and unfortunately also the hotel rooms. Not really romantic... Rooms were clean, staff was nice. No air-con. Breakfast is basic. Walking down to the city takes 10 min, the way back 15-20 min. It's obvious that the hotel hasn't been renovated for a while. A bit over-priced for what you get.

The reception was very welcoming and helpful. This hotel is located on the hill tops and near the town. I was impressed with the facilities available and decoration of the hotel. We stayed in a twin room and the room meet all our basic needs. We would go back to the hotel.
