Stayed for one night, in one of the recently refurbished rooms. Nice, bright and very clean. Comfortable bed and good a/c. Helpful reception staff and a reasonable breakfast, with plenty of choices. The hotel has a nice looking pool with sun loungers. Location wise, it´s a short walk from the seafront, with plenty of restaurants to choose from and a nice beach. Praia da Vitória is a quaint little town, with plenty of nice photo opportunities.

Quite a nice hotel. The location is fine but a few minutes walk from the marina area. A really excellent breakfast is included. The wifi is good. Now for the negatives, most of which should not occur if there were proper maintenance and housekeeping. One of the central lights did not work at all. A fluorescent light over one of the beds flickered all the time. The switches on the lights over the beds were reversed so the left switch operated the light over the right bed. The shutter blind was damaged and required two people to open it – one lifting from the bottom and the other hauling on the cord. The other negative is that there seems to be only one hair-dryer available from reception. If someone has borrowed it then everyone else has to go without. Maybe there is more than one but certainly, there were not enough when we were there and the hotel was not close to being fully occupied.

This review was based purely on the room I was given. From the moment I entered my room, I could smell the damp. The water pressure was weak and managed to just about reach what I would describe as tepid. There was only one plug socket in the entire room which I had to crawl under the desk to reach. Not exactly practical for phone charging. Once I climbed into bed, thats when I really noticed the damp. The sheets were clammy and stuck to my skin. And could not for the life of me work out how to stop the aircon machine from bleeping every few minutes. A big negative was no tea and coffee making facilities. I would have left my room in a much neater condition.. except there was no bin in which to put all of my rubish. So I attempted to neatly pile it up in the corner. I will leave it on a high in that the room was generally kept very clean and the wifi was excellent.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting the island. Hotel located in a quiet area with no nearby restaurants. Pleasant 10 minute walk to beach with plenty of eating options. Friendly, helpful front staff. Comfortable bedroom with good sized bathroom. Very clean. Very good buffet breakfast included. Pleasant pool area, but unheated pool was too cold for a swim. My room was at the far end of the hallway, and as such WiFi reception in room was non-existent. Good WiFi reception in lobby. Limited English TV channels. All in all good value for the money.

I stayed in this hotel and was pretty disappointed in it. I booked a suite for the week so it was not cheap. On arrival i was exhausted and hungry and asked where the restaurant was. I was advised they did not serve food and i had to go to the marina for something to eat which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. I went to the room and said i would have some tea\coffee and what ever was in the mini bar and then go to bed. But there was absolutely nothing consumable in the 'suite'???? No tea\coffee and the two fridges there were completely empty. Next morning i asked for breakfast at 6.35 and was advised no breakfast until 7.30 which was annoying because that was the time i had to be at the airbase. I then asked for an iron as there were none to be found in the 'suite' and low and behold, there were none. Apparently they have a laundry, in other words ching ching, you have to pay to even iron your clothes. The last suite i stayed in had a minibar, iron, tea\coffee....etc. Dont know how they can classigy this a suite without amenities. The rooms are a kind of patch up of a decaying facade that shows itself at random points like the bubbling of the plaster because of dampness which can be smelt throughout the hotel which in my view is actually a b&b. When you are working on business the last thing you want is to finish your day by going down to the marina for your dinner. House keeping also leave the windows wide open for anybody to hop in and steel your stuff and the noise level of drunken people going to their room was not great either. On checkout which was at 5 am for me to catch my flight, i was confronted with a grumpy old man with no manners to speak of really. No did you enjoy your stay, kind like wan bam thank you man situation, that will be 550 euro. I went into the dark breakfast room to grab some juice, no effort made for early checkout as i checked with reception the night before and the grumpy man followed me in which was a bit creepy to be honest. I work with the US Airforce on the island and will be the last time i will use this hotel and book well in advance next time.
