We had a great week at Locanda Vesuna. A beautiful place, surroundings and views of the nearby Tuscan towns. Nice room, comfortable bed, no air conditioning only ceiling fan but it was enough. Breakfasts are quite modest with a possible extra charge for additional items (not everyone is limited to coffee and cakes, it would be nice to pull it up a bit.) It's very nice to sit outside in the evenings, you can order dinner on the spot a la carte, there are food testings or cooking lessons. Sometimes the service was slow, but it was a vacation after all, so we didn't stress about it. Very nice owners.

Fabulous location near Pienza and St Quirico. Absolute tranquility. Beautiful outdoor spaces in a typical Tuscan landscape. Fabulous sunsets.
Reasonable room, without great luxuries, but nice. Good bathroom.
Poor breakfast, served at the table. No great variety and in small portions. No fresh bread. Just toasted bread in a Bimbo type. Egg paid separately and costing 3 euros
On the day of arrival, since we were tired, we had dinner at Locanda. Service was friendly but very slow.
.We had a starter tartar to share and a risotto al funghi and a banal Pecorino ravioli. We had a red Rosso di Montalcino and 2 coffees.80 euros seemed a little expensive
Friendly and attentive host. Just one thing to say: he was not very helpful when booking a restaurant for dinner.
In summary: Fabulous location, good rooms, spectacular atmosphere. To improve the meals, especially the breakfast, which is very weak. Many more positives than negatives.
I strongly recomend

We stayed here for 4 nights with our young children. A wonderful place to stay - amazing views, good sized rooms and most importantly great service.

+
Great location with wonderful views
Lots of outside seating for you to relax during the day and in the evening
Nice pool
Pool table and basketball net
Excellent service from all of the team - very friendly and accommodating
Great dinner service and good wine collection.
Good WiFi connection
Great slide and swings for young children
Great ambience

- ( very minor points)
Showers are very small and could do with an upgrade
Some of the sofas in the room could do with new covers
More umbrellas needed by the pool

A great place to stay for a few days and get away from it all.

The staff go out or their way to make your stay great. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights in December on our self drive through Tuscany. Our room was delightful, with a view overlooking the fields and the forest. The property itself was beautiful. The service was outstanding- from the moment we checked in until when we left. We ordered our evening meal to have there, and it was superb! It was a quintessential Tuscan experience, and we would definitely return.

From the moment we drove up the gravel road lined with Cypress trees to the hilltop villa, we felt we were living the "Tuscan holiday" experience. The setting is beautiful, peaceful with gorgeous 360 views. A few kilometers from Pienza, less than 10 km from Montalcino & Montepulciano. An hour south of Sienna. We rented a very large studio with loft for 6 persons for 3 nights (August 2018): 2 twins on ground floor, 2 twins on loft, 1 double sofa bed. It had 2 bathrooms, 2 AC units. Rooms were clean; beds, linens, and towels were fresh. No kitchen or laundry. Very comfortable. The inn itself is only about 20 years old - having been rebuilt from rubble. They maintained the traditional villa look, but has all the modern conveniences. The place is currently managed by 3 20-somethings, and they worked VERY hard to please. We asked the restaurant manager for a recommendation for wine tasting, and he immediately called in a reservation on our behalf for a private wine tasting at Innocenti winery in Montalcino. (Amazing experience; delicious Brunello de Montalcino!) We asked the hostess for a dinner recommendation, and she too called in a reservation at Osteria Baccus in Pienza. It turns out the place was booked solid - don't know how she got that reservation on short notice; they took no walk-ins that night. We felt special, and the Tuscan food was delicious. We had breakfast (5 euros/person) every morning - large assortment of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits, juices and waters, and one hot coffee drink. A very good spread. We signed up for one "home made" Tuscan dinner, which was served in their courtyard on the warm summer night we were there. Delightful. Pool was refreshing.

A beautiful place in the Val D'Orcia. This place is amazing. We stayed for 4 nights at Locanda Vesuna and wish we had stayed longer. We stayed in one of their suites - a typical Tuscan style room with amazing views out of all windows. The suite would suit a family of 4 but we used the second room for our clothes! The rooms were cleaned everyday and I am sure new sheets and towels everyday too! Fridge in room that is very handy!
The pool is a short walk from the building, soo peaceful and quiet for a few lazy days! Both Luca's were so friendly, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The very fact that they took the time to talk and get to know you was great(which you wouldnt possibly get in large hotels)
We did book in advance for a meal in their court yard. Lovely Tuscan cooking - in fact that was everywhere in Tuscany we didnt have a bad meal!.
Breakfasts were good. A great selection of meats, cheese and cake!
My only recommendations would be maybe have some beer to buy after a hard days relaxing by the pool! Or an Aperol Spritz!
I have to say we were sad to leave and if I could be transported there now I would!
Thank you for your hospitality. We had the best holiday!

This is like real paradise- quiet remote beautiful place. Big old villa, very clean with the most responsive, helpful and caring host you could imagine (Thank you, Monica)).
Advice: order dinner before you come to the location- it will surely be delicious, homemade and Tuscan.
One more advice: If your voucher said it is Piensa - do not try to look for Piensa address in your GPS navigator- its Trequanda, (otherwise you would need to call Monica to pick you up in Pienza). Pienza is the nearest town, which is about 6 kms from Locanda Vesuna. Montepulciano is 16 kms, Montalcino is 26 kms from the place - these are all small towns nearby all worth visiting.
Parking lot, pool, jacuzzi.
Homemade olive oil for sale)

Arriving at Locanda Vesuna was easy with our GPS (highly recommend for any driving in Italy). We were greeted immediately by Monica and shown around. The Locanda is so pretty and the scenery just breathtaking. Waking up in the morning and opening your shutters to the view is a magical moment. Monica could not have made our stay more comfortable and went out of our way to welcome us every day. Thanks for the flowers on my birthday Monica! Breakfast is great and relaxing. Highly recommend this for travelling in Tuscany. Pienza is a hop, skip and a jump and is a lovely town to dine in!

Locanda Vesuna was perfect for our family of four. We all absolutely loved our four day stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The views are incredible, the pool is lovely, breakfasts are delicious. Our suite was beautiful and spacious.

We used Locanda Vesuna as a base for exploring Southern Tuscany, Siena and even Florence (all of which are stunning). It worked out very well. Each time we returned to the inn we felt a great sense of peace, as if we were returning home. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast inn!

La proprietà é sua e quando ci siamo stati a Marzo l'abbiamo visto perché ha un suo appartamento privato all'interno. L'abbiamo incrociato alla mattina per la colazione e ha salutato volentieri gli ospiti!
