Certificate of Excellence
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite.

Fantastic place to stay while in Monteverde. Very comfortable and clean, good breakfasts and helpful, friendly staff. We were able to book on to two excursions through the accom. Highly recommend. Parking available too.

Personally I found this to be one of the best hotels on our self drive tour especially for the price we paid, it was the cheapest during our 14 night holiday by far. The room was small but actually one of the best equipped, with a safe, good air con, a dehumidifier and not that w

We travelled around Central America for a month and this was by far the worst place we stayed at. The bed could not possibly be any smaller. The sheet had some disgusting yellow stain that made me want to vomit every time I looked at it. The location was not the best either. The

Good afternoon CaliforniaSun96, we are very sad you did not have a memorable time at our B&B, we feel very sad that there was a stain in on your sheets, this sheet should had been completely removed if it was not super white after laundry. . I do have to let you know we do have 4 lovely ladies that clean each room everyday and we take cleaning very seriously, but unfortunately they missed double checking this sheet. As for the front desk we always try hard to be very efficient and we are sorry it did not felt this way. The Monteverde Cheese factory does still exist and its open all days even on Sundays. . What we know is that the tour is not operating anymore, but he cheese factory is still operating and they have really good chocolate mint ice cream and good Edam Cheese. Below a link to the schedule they have. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Monteverde+Cheese+Factory/@10.3051817,-84.811095,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x2308b47509c1fe2a!8m2!3d10.3051817!4d-84.8089063

Camino Verde B&B was awesome!! The room was simple, but included everything you needed and the view from the back patio was gorgeous. We loved that it was within walking distance to town! The front desk staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make

My first experience of staying in a B&B. Views:mediocre-you have to imaging the view after obstructions. Stayed in RN12-small room, not so fancy double bed, night table on just one side, ample table for opening luggage! Good shower and toilet. There was a foul smell from toilet,

I'm confused. Is this place a hostel or a bed and breakfast? Some reviewers are calling it a hostel. If it's a hostel, that means a dormitory style room that I might be sharing with strangers. If it's a B&B, that means I'll have a private room and maybe share a bathroom with others. So which is it?
Hello, all rooms are private. We have 2 rooms called private shared bathroom that share a bathroom between each other that is outside the room, but none of the rooms are dormotory style. Each room is private with a key. The difference between standard rooms and deluxe rooms, is that deluxe rooms are larger in terms of space but they are both private with private bathroom .

Going to Costa Rica in January and looking at spending two nights in Monteverde. Can we book tours from the hotel i.e. zipline, hanging bridges, night walk? Where do you eat lunch and supper? Any tips you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks. Mary Lou and Ken (Ottawa)
Hello! We can help you arrange everything you need at our front desk from 7am to 9pm. There is no need to book activities before , and we recommend to book things upon arrival, some activities are better morning and others afternoon. If you wish to see all activities you can do in Monteverde please visit our site. In terms of food we are neighbors to really good little local restaurants and town is just a 5 min walk , with good restaurants and coffee shops. We also have a large kitchen you can use, just like home .
